Beautiful time at Valentin!

We celebrated my fiancé’s 50th birthday just a few days before Christmas and absolutely loved our stay. We already can’t wait to return. We met several guests who visit this resort every year, and it’s easy to see why. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and truly go out of their way to make you feel special. Service throughout the resort is top-notch. The restaurants were all outstanding, with only the hibachi restaurant requiring reservations. The chefs are spectacular, and the food was incredibly flavorful with endless options. Honestly, I could have eaten at the buffet every single day. Our favorite restaurant was the Mexican Hacienda, but every dining experience was excellent. Poolside service was amazing—staff constantly circulate to take drink orders, which really elevates the experience. We opted for a swim-out room, and it was wonderful. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, especially at night with the coconut lights. From the covered walkways and live shows to the natural wildlife, top-shelf alcohol options, late-night DJs, and nonstop entertainment, everything exceeded our expectations. Opportunities for Improvement • No wine or spirits are included in the room—only beer. • The pools are not heated during cooler seasons, which made them uncomfortable if you don’t enjoy cold water. Mild heating would have been wonderful! • On the swim-out side, handrails would be helpful. Without them, you have to exit on the opposite side and walk around the entire pool to return to your room. • There are no jacuzzis, which would have been a great addition. • Pool chairs were consistently unavailable, so we either rented a cabana or stayed at our swim-out pool. With just a few minor tweaks, this resort would easily be a 10/10. That said, we will absolutely return and feel confident these enhancements are likely coming soon.
Great resort especially for food allergies

Rooms - rooms were spacious and very well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job refreshing towels. Daily turn down service was nice. Facilities - all very well kept up. Pool area’s were very clean loungers and palapas were all in good shape. Pickleball, basketball and tennis courts were all good. Beach - Fantastic. Sand was great, beach was clean, no seaweed for our first 3 days and just a small trace our last couple of days. Waves were rough a couple days with average waves the other days. Food - this was the reason we picked the resort as a person in our group had peanut, legumes and soy allergies. The resort exceeded our expectations. Noami at the buffet was incredible helping navigate any cross contamination issues and having dishes made fresh to ensure they were safe. Countless others were also fantastic at the specialty restaurants, we had allergy cards in Spanish from Equal Eats which described all the allergy items perfectly so all the waiters and chefs could avoid any issues. Each meal was served with a reassuring “made special for you”.
