Free The Children
Founded in 1995 by international activist Craig Kielburger, Free The Children is an international charity and educational partner that believes in a world where all children are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change.
The organization's domestic programs which include We Day, Free The Children's signature youth empowerment event, educates and empowers 2.3 million youth across North America and the United Kingdom to become engaged global citizens.
Free The Children has received the World's Children's Prize for the Rights of the Child, the Human Rights Award from the World Association of Non‐Governmental Organizations, and has formed successful partnerships with leading school boards and Oprah's Angel Network.
WestJet is delighted to partner with Free The Children to provide air travel for selected youth living in remote communities to attend a We Day in Canada. In spring of 2014, WestJet flew 12 students from Thunder Bay to National We Day in Ottawa.
WestJetters across our network will interact with the youth from these communities at our airports, on our aircraft and at We Day events where WestJetters and their families will have the opportunity to participate as volunteers.
