  1. How can I book a flight with WestJet?

    You can book a flight on our website, by calling us at 1-888-937-8538 or through a travel agent.
  2. Do I need a WestJet account in order to reserve a flight?

    No, but if you don't have one, you won't be able to access your booking to make changes or refund your flight (more than 24 hours after creation).
  3. Can I see how many seats are available at a certain fare?

    Yes. Our website displays when there are six (6) seats or less for any given fare that is available at the time you're looking. If there are more than six (6) seats at the fare level you are looking at, the "seats remaining" column will not contain any information.
  4. How many seats can I book at one time?

    You can book up to six (6) seats in a single online reservation. If you have seven (7) to nine (9) guests travelling, you can complete two separate reservations with up to six (6) guests on the first reservation and the remaining guests on the second reservation. For groups of 10 or more, contact the WestJet Group Desk at 1-888-493-7853, as additional services are available for these types of reservations. Group reservations are available on WestJet and WestJet Encore operated flights only. Code-share and interline flights through our partner airlines do not qualify.
  5. Can I take a round trip flight that leaves out of a different city for the return?

    If you would like to take a return flight from another city (for example, leaving from Calgary to Vancouver, but returning from Abbotsford back to Calgary), use the multiple cities link on our home page. This will allow you to book up to five one-way flights on one itinerary. You may select flights operated by WestJet or by our partner airlines; however promo codes may not be used for multiple city bookings.
  6. Why does the availability screen say there are seats available, but when I go to reserve them, there are none?

    Because this system works in real time, availability can change between the time you check the availability of a seat and the time you go to reserve the seat. Tickets are constantly being sold, making seat availability change as well.
  7. When do I have to pay for my flight?

    WestJet requires payment at the time of booking. If you do not have a payment card, you can book your flight at one of our airport locations or at a travel agency.
  8. How can I pay for my flight?

    We accept American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club International® cards, MasterCard®, Visa®, Visa Debit®, and Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP). WestJet gift certificates purchased prior to October 1, 2009, may be redeemed* by calling 1-888-937-8538 or at a WestJet ticket counter. We also accept debit and Canadian cash at our Canadian airport locations, and U.S. cash at U.S. airport locations. For international airport locations, the accepted forms of payment vary. Please call us for information on a specific location.
  9. How will my flight tickets be delivered?

    WestJet utilizes a ticketless reservation system. This means you do not require a paper ticket for your flight. Instead, you simply take the reservation code you're given when you book the flight, along with a piece of ID, to the airport check-in and board your flight. You don't have to worry about your tickets being lost in the mail, or forgetting them at home.

    You can book a flight on our website, by calling us at 1-877-737-7001 or through your travel agent.
  2. Do I need a WestJet account in order to reserve vacation packages?

    A WestJet account is not required. If you have one, you can enter your WestJet Frequent Guest number at the time of booking. If you forget to enter this at the time of booking, you may call us at any time prior to travel to add it.
  3. Can I see how many packages are available at a certain fare?

    Our website displays only packages that are available at the time of your search. However, we do not display the number of packages that are available.
  4. How many guests can I book on a WestJet Vacations package at one time?

    You can book up to six (6) guests in a single online reservation. Seven (7) or more guests can be booked on one reservation by contacting WestJet Vacations. For groups that require 10 or more rooms, contact the WestJet Vacations Group Desk at 1-877-495-8747, as additional services are available for these types of reservations.
  5. Can I book a WestJet Vacations package that leaves out one city and returns to another?

    At this time, only one departure and one arrival city may be selected for WestJet Vacations packages booked through our website. We can assist with multiple city bookings, please call us at 1-877-737-7001.
  6. Why does it show availability for the package I want to book, but when I go to book the package it's not showing as available?

    Because this system works in real time, availability can change between the time you check the availability of a package and the time you go to reserve the package. Vacations are constantly being sold, making availability change as well.
  7. When do I have to pay for my vacation package?

    We require payment at the time the booking is made. If you do not have a payment card, you can book your vacation with a travel agent.
  8. How can I pay for my vacation package?

    We accept American Express®, Discover® and Diners Club International® cards, MasterCard®, Visa® and Visa Debit. WestJet dollars can be used as payment up to $500 per guest on a WestJet Vacations booking. WestJet dollars cannot be applied against taxes, fees or surcharges. At this time, WestJet Travel Bank cannot be accepted for payment on a WestJet Vacations booking.
  9. How will my vacation package information and flight tickets be delivered?

    WestJet utilizes a ticketless reservation system. You do not require a paper ticket for your flight. In most cases, vouchers or tickets are not required to redeem for hotel, car, activities or services. A piece of photo identification is enough to redeem vacation services. You will be notified if a voucher is required for any part of your vacation.
