As of October 1, 2013 WestJet's on-time service promise is available to WestJet Rewards members only. To show our commitment to on-time performance on these popular business routes, we promise that:
- If your flight between Toronto and Montreal or Toronto and Ottawa is cancelled or arrives more than 30 minutes late (or 45 minutes late when travelling to or from New York) we'll credit your WestJet Rewards account with $50 WestJet dollars that can be used towards a future WestJet flight or WestJet Vacations package.
- If your flight between any of the abovementioned cities is cancelled and you cannot travel on your re-accommodated flight, in addition to the $50 WestJet dollars, we'll place the value of your original ticket in a future travel credit for you with no penalty.
No. The on-time service promise is available on WestJet-operated flights only.
To take advantage of WestJet's on-time service promise on these routes, you must be a WestJet Rewards member and provide your WestJet ID on your bookings. When applicable, a credit of $50 WestJet dollars will be automatically posted directly to your account within 30 days of travel. If you did not add your WestJet ID to your booking prior to travel you may submit a request for credit via the online form.
If you travelled more than 30 days ago and have not received an email confirming the credit, or you did not add your WestJet ID to your booking prior to travel, please fill in this on-time promise form and we'll look into it for you. If eligible, you’ll receive your credit of $50 WestJet dollars within 10 business days.
If you cannot travel on your re-accommodated flight, please notify WestJet or your travel agent that you wish to cancel your reservation and we will waive the cancellation fee for you. The full value of your original ticket will remain available for your future use.
