Gregg Saretsky became WestJet President and Chief Executive Officer in April 2010. As President and CEO, Gregg is responsible for both the strategic direction of the company and the day-to-day operations of the airline, leading more than 8,600 WestJetters as they deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Gregg Saretsky joined WestJet in June 2009 as Vice-President of WestJet Vacations, before being named Executive Vice-President, Operations, for WestJet in October 2009. In this capacity, Gregg was responsible for flight operations, inflight service, airport guest services, WestJet's operations control centre, and technical operations (maintenance).

Gregg began his career in aviation with Canadian Airlines in 1985 as a route development planner and rose through the ranks to the position of Vice-President, Airports, and Vice-President, Marketing, before joining Alaska Airlines in 1998 as Senior Vice-President, Marketing & Planning. Gregg also served as Executive Vice-President of Flight Operations and Marketing, responsible for the airline's flight crews, operations, and consumer programs and activities. Gregg led the development of Alaska Airlines' alliance strategy and was instrumental in building new airline and tour operator partnerships.

Born and raised in Montreal to a French mother and a German father, Gregg grew up in Quebec and British Columbia, graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. An avid globe-trotter, Gregg has visited more than 250 cities in 34 countries and is still working to master French and Spanish language skills! Gregg and his wife, Debb, enjoy skiing and travelling with their children Mark, Jennifer and Bobby, and swear that bits and bites are the best snack food ever created!

Cam Kenyon became WestJet's Executive Vice-President, Operations in February 2011. In this role, Cam is responsible for WestJet's Guest Services (Airports) Team, Flight Operations (including the Operational Control Center), and Technical (Maintenance) Operations.

Cam joins WestJet from Lynx Aviation in Denver, Colorado, where he served as president and chief operating officer. Prior to Lynx Aviation, Cam worked as the Director of Flight Operations Training, Chief Pilot, and subsequently as Vice-President, Flight Operations, at Frontier Airlines from 2000 to 2008.

Cam graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1986 where he obtained his bachelor of science in political science. He obtained his master of arts degree in international affairs from American University that same year.

He then served in the United States Navy from 1986 to 1994 in a variety of positions including pilot training officer; safety officer, mission commander and standardization pilot. He also attended the Aviation Safety Officer School at the Naval Postgraduate School in 1993 and obtained his juris doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1997.

Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, Cam then spent his teen years in Pound Ridge, New York, and was stationed in several locations while serving in the United States Navy.

Cam and his wife, Drew, have three daughters, Caitlin, Hannah and Addy. Cam's favorite WestJet destinations are Los Angeles and any island in the Caribbean!

Vito Culmone joined WestJet as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice-President, Finance, in March 2007. He is responsible for the overall financial management of WestJet and its financial reporting, as well as for multiple corporate functions including Controllership, Treasury, Investor Relations, Legal, Purchasing, Government Relations and Planning.

Vito obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1989 while at Price Waterhouse and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto. Prior to joining WestJet, Vito enjoyed a 12-year career at Molson Inc. where he worked in a number of business environments. At Molson Vito worked both domestically and internationally in various senior leadership roles and gained significant experience in negotiating, evaluating and leading strategic investment opportunities. His previous roles at Molson included Vice-President, Controller and Corporate Finance, Molson Inc. (pre-merger with Coors); Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Molson U.S.A.; and Vice-President, Commercial Finance at Molson Canada.

Vito is a firm believer in living life to its fullest and that includes finding work that you are passionate about. He is married, the father of two children, and his favourite WestJet destination is the Hawaiian Islands.

Ferio Pugliese, became WestJet's Executive Vice-President, People, in 2007 and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the airline's people (human resources, safety and corporate real-estate) programs for its more than 8,000 WestJetters. Ferio and his team define and execute people plans that support WestJet's culture and strategic direction. He is extremely proud that WestJet has been named to Canada's Corporate Cultures Hall of Fame, was recognized as one of Canada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures for four consecutive years (2005-2009), and was also cited by Hewitt Associates as one of Canada's best employers in 2009.

A certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP), Ferio holds a Master of Arts in degree in Adult Education from Central Michigan University, an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor. He is a member of the Conference Board of Canada's Human Resources Executive Council and has worked in various senior leadership roles. Prior to joining WestJet his previous roles included Vice President, Human Resources, at Catalyst Paper Corporation in Vancouver, Director of Human Resources Development at Windsor Casino Ltd., and Director of Human Resources Development at Casino Rama, Carnival Resorts and Casinos.

In 2007, Ferio was recognized by Caldwell Partners as one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40. With a passion for business, Ferio believes in always pushing your comfort zone and believing in yourself and the people around you, so that together you can reach new heights. Originally from northern Ontario, Ferio loves the great game of hockey and skiing. He and his wife, Pam, and their three children Nicholas, Nathan and Natalya, are enjoying life in western Canada. Ferio's favourite WestJet destinations include Nassau, Maui and Vancouver.

Bob Cummings became Executive Vice-President, Sales, Marketing and Guest Experience, in 2009. His responsibilities include corporate development, network planning and scheduling, revenue management, airline partnerships, marketing and communications, sales, distribution (including call centres), guest experience planning, web business and WestJet Vacations. Prior to that, he held the title of Executive Vice-President, Guest Experience and Marketing.

Bob joined WestJet in March 2005 as Vice-President, Marketing, and quickly mobilized his team to create the Owners advertising campaign - the most successful brand communications platform in WestJet history.

Bob was named Canada's top marketing executive by Canadian Business magazine in 2008.

A native of Edmonton, Bob achieved his undergraduate degree in 1989 from the University of Victoria, followed by his MBA from Queen's University in 1992. Bob worked for over eight years in the wireless industry in Canada, including a one-year stint in Romania launching the country's first mobile phone service.

WestJet's caring, friendly and appreciative brand attributes align perfectly with Bob's personal values. Bob believes in Ohana (family comes first). Bob is married to Kim, with two daughters, and he enjoys nothing more than seeing excitement and joy on his girls' faces, whether they are at Disney World or figure skating. Bob's favourite WestJet destinations are Orlando and Los Angeles.

The application of technology in the aviation industry fascinates me and I look forward to bringing my experience to WestJet to help support our vision of becoming one of the most successful international airlines in the world."

Cheryl Smith became executive vice-president and chief information officer in April 2011. As WestJet's first CIO, she is responsible for the strategic direction of IT as it continues to be a key differentiator in delivering our exceptional guest experience. She also oversees the daily IT operations that support every WestJetter. Her mission is to ensure WestJet's IT process and team achieves operational excellence that supports WestJet's rapid growth.

She brings more than 30 years of experience in IT design, development, implementation and operations to her leadership role at WestJet. She has been the CIO for McKesson, the largest health-care company in the world, as well as the CIO for KeySpan Energy, a major gas and electric energy company in the eastern U.S. She has held executive positions in IT at Verizon and Honeywell Federal Systems and was a principal in the technology consulting division at Ernst & Young. Most recently, Cheryl was the CEO of the technology-based venture startup Utility.net, a company that offers high-speed low-cost Internet access to rural areas.

Cheryl is a favourite speaker at a number of large IT conferences each year. She is the co-founder of the CIO Institute, a certificate program that she helped found at the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, which has now spread to a number of universities around the world. She enjoys working with talented technical people like those on her team at WestJet and helping them to become exceptional IT leaders.

When she isn't working in the world of IT, Cheryl enjoys spending time with her family. She is the oldest of 10 children, a family which has grown to 52 members (and growing). She has two children (now 4) she adores: a daughter who is a lawyer in Philadelphia, PA (married to an architect), and a son who is in advertising in Washington, DC (married to an accessories designer).
