Wilmot Matthews
Toronto (Ontario)

Mr. Matthews has been involved in all aspects of investment banking by serving in various positions with Nesbitt Burns Inc. and its predecessor companies from 1964 until his retirement in September, 1996, most recently as Vice Chairman and Director.

Mr. Matthews is currently President of Marjad Inc., a personal investment company and also is a current member on the Investment Advisory Committee of Imperial Capital, a private equity fund manager.

Mr. Matthews received his Bachelor of Arts in Math, Physics and Chemistry from the University of Toronto and his Master of Science in Economics from the London School of Economics and London, England, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Mr. Matthews joined WestJet's Board of Directors in September 1996.
