In order to maintain our high level of on-time departures and arrivals, WestJet guests are advised to be through security and at their departure gate 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of their flight. Guests arriving at the gate less than 10 minutes prior to departure risk losing their reserved seat.

U.S./international Web check in
Select your seat for most U.S./international flights from 24 hours up to 60 minutes before you fly and print your boarding pass before you go to the airport with WestJet's Web Check in service!
U.S. and international flights require additional travel information for each guest prior to checking in. You will be asked to enter your travel information during the check in process so please have your documents on hand.
In order to maintain our high level of on-time departures and arrivals, remember to bring your boarding pass and passport to the airport at least 60 minutes prior to flights within Canada and 90 minutes prior to scheduled U.S./international flights. WestJet guests are required to be through security and customs, if applicable and at their departure gate 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure of their flight. Guests arriving at the gate less than 10 minutes prior to departure risk losing their reserved seat.

Mobile check in
Not at a computer? Check in from your mobile device i.e. Blackberry, with Mobile check in!
Mobile check in is available from 24 hours up to 45 minutes for U.S. and international flights or 30 minutes for flights within Canada Select your seat and indicate the number of baggage to check in, and simply print your boarding pass or request an e-BP (electronic boarding pass). e-BPs are only available when you travel within Canada. You may print a boarding pass at a Self-serve check-in kiosk, at select airports, or at the WestJet Self-serve baggage drop counter.
Mobile check in is convenient and easy, just type mobile.westjet.com on your device and you can check in for your flight on the road.

Electronic boarding pass (e-BP)
Now when you check in for your WestJet flight using Mobile or Web check in, you will have the option to receive your boarding pass electronically. e-BPs are accepted at all Canadian airports from which WestJet operates for travel within Canada. This means you will be able to proceed through security and board your WestJet flight using the e-BP displayed on your personal mobile device.
Simply use the Web and Mobile check in process as usual, and you will be presented boarding pass options. You may choose to print your boarding pass online or at the airport, or select the electronic boarding pass option and have an e-mail sent to your mobile device. Then simply show the boarding pass displayed on your mobile device at security and board your flight.
