Travel advisory: Security screening delays when flying out of a U.S. airport

If you’re flying out of a U.S. airport, from now until the end of the summer, we strongly encourage you to arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to your scheduled departure, to ensure that you do not miss your flight. Due to a higher than expected volume of guests travelling, and current U.S. Transportation Security Agency (TSA) staffing, excessive security wait times are expected.

Travel advisory: Travel to Canada – Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)

Canada has introduced a new entry requirement, known as an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). If you are a foreign traveller who used to travel to Canada without a visa, you are now expected to apply online for an eTA prior to travelling to Canada by air. Exceptions include U.S. citizens and any travellers who currently hold a valid visa.

The application process is affordable, doesn’t take long to complete, and in most cases the eTA will be granted within minutes of applying. Until the end of September 2016, if you require, but do not have an eTA, you will still be able to board a flight to Canada as long as you are holding valid travel documents, such as a passport. To apply and find out more, visit Canada.ca/eTA.
