Where does WestJet fly?
WestJet offers scheduled service throughout Canada with connection points from Southwest cities in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tampa, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Fort Myers. For more information, view WestJet's Route map.

Do Southwest Airlines and WestJet offer connecting service?
No. Currently, connecting service is not offered between the two carriers. If you wish to create your own itinerary using both airlines you must book two separate reservations and are responsible for the check in requirements of each carrier. Southwest Airlines and WestJet do not have ticketing or baggage agreements at this time, and are not responsible for one another's flight information, re-accommodations, special service requests, etc.

Will my checked baggage be transferred from Southwest Airlines to WestJet and vice-versa?
No. Southwest Airlines and WestJet do not currently have a baggage agreement. If you book two separate reservations that require a connection, you will be responsible for checking in with both airlines. Furthermore, you must claim your baggage at the connection point and re-check it with the airline providing transportation to your final destination.

For example, if you book travel on Southwest Airlines from Houston to Las Vegas and have another reservation with WestJet from Las Vegas to Calgary, you will be permitted to check baggage on Southwest to Las Vegas. Upon arrival in Las Vegas, you must first claim your checked baggage from Southwest and then check your baggage with WestJet for your flight from Las Vegas to Calgary. Baggage allowances may differ between carriers, and all baggage claims must be filed with the operating carrier.

I plan to purchase a two-ticket itinerary, traveling on both carriers. How much time should I allow between flights?
We recommend allowing a minimum of two hours between the scheduled arrival time of your inbound flight and the scheduled departure time of your outbound flight. This recommendation is a guideline only, and is intended to account for time to claim and re-check you checked baggage, change terminals and arrive at your departure gate in time for your next flight. Please be advised that this is a recommendation only and does not allow for any flight irregularities that may occur. Carriers will not be responsible for missed connections.

I missed my flight. Who do I contact?
If you miss your flight, please contact the operating carrier. If the flight missed was operated by WestJet, call 1-888-WESTJET (1-888-937-8538). If the flight missed was operated by Southwest Airlines, call 1-800-IFLYSWA (1-800-435-9792).

Can I earn Rapid Rewards credit for WestJet flights?
No, at this time you cannot earn Rapid Rewards credit for WestJet flights.

Do WestJet flights count toward my A-List status?
No, at this time flights completed on WestJet will not count toward a Rapid Reward Member's A-List status.

Can I apply my Southwest Airlines Ticketless Travel Funds to purchase travel on WestJet?
No. Southwest Ticketless Travel Funds may only be applied to the purchase of flights operated by Southwest Airlines.

How do I check in online for my WestJet flights?
Visit the WestJet's Online Checkin to check in for your WestJet flight.

Can I select my seat for my WestJet flight during the booking process?
Yes, you can purchase pre-reserved seating on WestJet flights at the time of booking only.

How do I modify or cancel my WestJet itinerary?
You may modify or cancel an existing itinerary by calling 1-888-WESTJET (937-8538).

How do I obtain a refund if I wish to cancel travel purchased through WestJet?

How can I request disability-related assistance for my WestJet flight?
You may request disability-related assistance with WestJet during the booking process. Southwest Airlines and WestJet do not currently transmit or communicate Special Service Requests (i.e., assistance for Customers with a disability, information regarding assistance animals, etc.) between carriers. You are responsible for communicating any personal travel needs directly to each operating carrier upon arrival at the airport. Visit WestJet's Special Needs Polices prior to booking.

What should I do if I need more than one seat to accommodate my needs on a WestJet flight?

Does WestJet allow unaccompanied minors?
No. Guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult on all WestJet flights.

Does WestJet allow pets onboard?
Yes. WestJet accepts pets for a $50 one-way fee (currency is based on the point of origin). Please consult WestJet's Pet Policy.

What inflight Services are available on WestJet?
WestJet offers a variety of inflight amenities such as complimentary coffee, juice, soft drinks and snacks, the option to buy additional food items onboard, and free live seatback satellite TV.
