I will return for my tenth stay at CSA this December. The location and beach are beautiful. The grounds are covered with palms and the serpentine pathways through the greenery belies the fact that there are a lot of people on the site. Staff are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to meeting staff members who have been at CSA since my first visit. They still remember me. I enjoy the whole experience from socializing over a breakfast of whatever I feel like eating, to the scuba diving on a beautiful new boat. The dive staff is experienced and makes every dive fun and safe for beginners as well as interesting for experienced divers. I enjoy the casual luxury of the place, with no need to dress up in the evenings and the staff being friendly and helpful while not intruding on the experience. The weight room is first class and accommodates the casual work out to some very heavy lifting. Donovan, the supervisor, is a knowledgeable quiet man who can give every assistance with your workout or answer any questions you may have about your fitness plan. Donovan, thanks for helping me to my heaviest lifts while working with you in Jamaica. I enjoy the wide variety of food and have never gone hungry at CSA !!! The tennis courts are well kept and tennis is part of what makes CSA a destination resort. Night life is as varied as the menu, from piano bar to the house band led by the talented Lincon, to visiting singers and performers. Every night different and enjoyable. The rooms are simple, clean spacious. Hats off to Couples Swept Away, my happy place.

We took our Honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was a week to remember. The facility offered everything from health and fitness, luxury spa, night life, entertainment, water and beach activities, excursions, and relaxation. It was a wonderful mix of romance, fun and socializing. The age groups was from 20's to 50's and all guests we met were enjoying their stay. We never heard a single couple with a complaint about the facility. The beach is clean, well groomed and warm as a bath tub. There is drink service to the beach and lots of lounge chairs and floaters for the ocean. If you are looking for a tan there's tons of room but lots of shade for those who prefer to read or just relax. The many restaurants offered wonderful flavours and variety every day. You were never tired of the large buffet but you still had great options for al a cart with the other restaurants. There are two finer dining al a cart restaurants so bring at least two nice outfits so you can celebrate in style. There is limited beef choices but tons of chicken, fish, seafood, pork and vegetarian options. We also participated in the private dinner on the beach (for an additional fee) and loved the evening would recommend to all. The staff were amazing and the hospitality flowed as well as the free drinks. There was never a request they didn't try to accommodate and they never met you without a smile. We met many guests that were return visitors and we will definitely join the group of repeaters. A Honeymoon to remember. Thank you to Couples Swept Away and Westjet Vacations!

An extraordinary staff, always eager and well disposed to help. The sports and spa facilities are excellent and the best in Jamaica. For an all inclusive, it is very satisfying that they don't cut corners, the food is 5 star, excellent quality liquor, bar service, even on the beach!! The long beach and the crystal clear water was a perfect scene. Great entertainment, morning and evening at the Palms, great effort put out by the entire staff to stage the Friday night Beach party. Even at 98% capacity, the layout and facilities are such that you never feel crowded, never fighting for a good spot on the beach. Was our second time back, going back next year with friends. Thank you swept away for another wonderful experience. Anthony and Mary

Couples Swept Away was a perfect honeymoon! It was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of pools to find a quite spot, wasn't too big of a resort, not too busy, no big party groups there, activities aimed at couples & honeymooners were a lot of fun. Location was good - 1.5hrs away from airport. Most off resort activities required a little drive - horseback riding only 20mins away. Zipline, however, was about a 2hr drive. Downtown shopping area only a 10min drive if you wanted to buy coffee or booze off resort (we did, big savings). Staff very laid back and easy going. It's a no-tipping, no-cash resort, which is nice, but takes the bartering out of the equation if you're into that. We would go back, for sure. There was an issue to sewer smells on the resort throughout our stay. Might of been related to Hurricane Sandy that was the week before. There was also 2 male bathrooms I noted to have their floor drains back up. Might be an issue that's resolved now, but the smell wasn't pleasant.
We loved it and are already planning our return!!

We have travelled for years and have stayed at numerous all inclusives in Mexico as well as the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We have also tried top notch cruises and have found Couples Swept away by far the best. First of all the beach - the beach is amazing and goes on for miles. Than there is the staff - who were all extremely welcoming. As to the food, it was very good and the selection of liquors varied and top notch. The exercise facility alone is worth the trip with a lap pool, tennis courts as well as tennis clinics, yoga, pilates, jogging track, basketball court and on and on it goes. All activities are included - water skiing, a sunset cruise, snorkelling in either day light or at night. You can't fit it all in in just a short week. We have already decided to return. Next year we will forgo the beach front verandah suite- as all the rooms are nice -and spend the money on a longer stay.

My wife & I spent two amazing weeks at Couples Swept Away in Negril in Aug 2011. We have never seen a beach so beautiful or water so crystal blue in our lives. The staff at CSA were truly amazing, always smiling & always willing to offer advice or assistance if needed. The Hotel grounds were great, very tropical & lush, the work out facilities were by far the best we?ve ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants were very good & offered a wide variety of dining options. If I had to pick one thing that put Couples Swept Away above any other hotel we stayed at in the past it would have to be all the inclusions. Everything from catamaran cruises & scuba diving to the strict no tipping policy truly helped make our holiday one of the most relaxing getaways we?ve ever been on!
Yea mon, it's amazing!!

Negril was a trip that we will not forget! The people, the beaches, the water, the SMILES!! They have a way of life that we all should consider in the way that they are so relaxed and are so happy!! The beaches and water were like those that you see in the corona commercials!! The red stripe cold and always ready for you!! We fell in love with the jerk chicken so much that when we got home... We went and bought a smoker to make our own little piece of JAMAICA!! We will be back... Oh yea mon!!!

My husband and I traveled with another couple to this beautiful property. During our 6 nights at Couples Swept Away, we experienced a number of really good times, and not-so-good times. The property is lush, and well maintained. The beaches are the best in the world....really....soft, cool, white sand, clear, refreshing water, and lots to do...snorkeling, kayaking, bocce ball, beach volleyball, basket weaving classes, t-shirt tie-dyeing classes, windsurfing, and we went on a catamaran "cruise," complete with swimming into a cave with bats and enjoying some caribbean music. There also are three swimming pools on the property, one that is across the highway near an open-air fitness center. The center has LOTS of equipment (free weights, treadmills, elipticals, and weight machines. You must cross the narrow, high-speed highway with the help of their security officers, who stop traffic to allow you to cross. The other two pools are by restaurants on the property, so you can eat very close by, and one has a cool swim-up bar. The awesome beach is easy and safe to walk up and down, and Margaritaville is about a third of a mile away. Security is constantly patrolling on foot, to ensure that musicians and other people selling stuff do not get out of hand. We never witnessed any issues, and we were glad for the security presence. We struggled with the rooms. The funky layout was weird.....the bathroom has no door on the shower, so our bathroom was often flooded from the shower water. The bathroom door that separates the room from the bath area has only wooden slats in it, so you can hear and partially see bathroom goings on. The housekeeping staff often did not replenish the shampoo and bar soap, towels, or the toilet paper. We had to keep reminding them, and they were not friendly when we inquired. They also didn't clean our room until about 6:30 pm many of the days, until we contacted the front desk and asked for an earlier time. We're not messy people, but we didn't like being out of the room all day, and coming back to the room tired, needing to get cleaned up for an evening dinner, not having the room refreshed. The wi-fi is very slow, actually, extremely slow, and sometimes didn't work at all during peak times. The water pressure in the bathroom was low, and the hot and cold water constantly fluctuated for no known reason. There are no elevators, so if you're on the third floor (top floor), you'll be going up stairs every time, and lugging your stuff. The concierge will carry your luggage when you arrive and when you leave, which is a nice touch. We went during September, which included 93% humidity and 90 degree temps. DON'T GO DURING THIS TIME OF THE YEAR! The heat is truly oppressive, and many of the restaurants are not air conditioned. You sit there and sweat. I can tell you that the wait staff, bartenders, security, pool and beach employees....all were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, and well presented. The drinks freely flowed during our visit, and they were well mixed. In summary, I just don't know if we'd go back. The bus drivers from and to the airport drive like bats out of hell, with little regard for goats, dogs, or horses that may be on the side of the road. If they're in the way, they'll get hit. The narrow, winding roads are very difficult to navigate during busy times. Our room phone didn't work the whole time, even though we reported the lack of phone service the first full day we were there. If you go, I would recommend that when you check in, tell the front desk you want a morning room cleaning, if that fits with your plans. They miss a great marketing opportunity by not having housekeeping leave a sheet of the next day's events in your room when they are there cleaning. They have so much going on, with classes, a jazz ensemble on the beach, a shuttle to a shopping center, a piano sing-along, and awesome flute soloist and other entertainment and activities, that you won't want to miss anything by not being informed. You'll have to check at the front desk for the day and time for their programs. I would also strongly recommend not to go during the extremely hot months. The individual rooms were air conditioned and comfortable, and the beach was wonderfully relaxing and refreshing, and when you get hot, you either get a cold drink or go in the ocean. We had a great time, but we will also check out Beaches, Sandals and some of the other properties to see what they have to offer.
We'll be back!

Nothing but positive things to say about this resort! Beautiful accommodations on a stunning beach! We have traveled to numerous Caribbean islands and Jamaica is now one of our favorites. The resort provides a truly relaxing experience and excellent service. There are many optional activities including the water sports which were great. We walked the beach every morning and never felt threatened. Yes the locals are always asking if you'd like to purchase some weed but "no thank you" is all it takes. We enjoyed the musicians who stroll through and entertain you if you invite them up. This is how they survive. The security guards make sure they don't linger long. Don't miss the nightly entertainment! These people are EXTREMELY talented and professional! We booked the garden veranda suite which was perfect for us (oceanfront would have been $1,000. more) and not as private. Tip- Travel during the off season and avoid the crowds. September was perfect. We have no complaints and will return!

Website pictures realistic. Beach stunning when we went (September). Plenty of space, shade, side tables and sunbeds but we were told high season the beach is packed and very busy. All restaurants delivered in terms of service and food quality, other than self service pool bar that gave you a buzzy thing to tell you food was ready. Veggie bar excellent! Buffet at breakfast offered healthy and hearty options. Personally, didn't like buffet in the evening that we tried just once. Thai restaurant pretty good, providing you don't have dietary needs and eat shellfish. Eg if you're gluten free and don't eat shellfish, the only thing you can eat is plain rice. The a la carte was good even if portions were small. Our main comment on the food was it wasn't typically Caribbean. It was all quite bland. Usually, Caribbean food has a bit of punch but this was plain. But we didn't experience any tummy troubles. We stayed in an ocean front deluxe verandah suite. It had plenty of room, was well lit, lots of fresh towels, superking bed comfy, balcony spacious but did overlook beach bar eith loud music all the time which got on our nerves after a while. Staff throughout were helpful. Security on the beach were effective. Local beach traders didn't hassle, although a few simply selling pot were a tad annoying, but moved on and were no bother. The grounds are clean and very well maintained. We would recommend but not for people wanting a quiet, relaxing time. There's always noise, music, constantly at all times of day, so 2 weeks was long enough. We woukd return to Jamaica but maybe to a quieter resort.

We really loved this resort. Great Staff - starting with check in at the airport - bus driver quick & efficient, checked in to a nice upgraded room, we had our room in 10 minutes of arriving there. I had 2 not so perfect meals in 7 days - not bad. One at Feathers - a la carte - steak was totally undercooked & the waiter was busy chatting with another guest for 15 minutes - I finally walked out. The other was a lunch buffet - just nothing to suit me personally. Lemongrass was excellent, Patois for breakfast- lunch & dinner were really good. The grill was nothing special. Bar service was really good. Mini bar was stocked regularly, We always had lots of clean towels. Room supplies were good, bed & pillows comfortable. Room was a little small with no area to sit 2 people. We had a beachfront suite & had a wonderful veranda with seating & a ceiling fan which was very comfortable. Just steps to the water & with a beautiful view of the sunset. Piano bar was great fun - disco too. The evening entertainment was really dull except for a casino night - but if you have been to Jamaica 20 times like me - you may or may not be bored with the same bands playing the same Bob Marley tunes night after night! We certainly are. I have to say the beach is the most beautiful I have ever experienced. I have stayed in multiple places in Negril & not since Grand Lido's heyday have a seen a cleaner beach. Watersport staff are the friendliest I have ever seen - actually leaving the boat on snorkeling trips with the guests & pointing out moray eels etc. They were really terrific and went to different spots all the time. I will definitely return to Swept Away.

This is our first time in Jamaica at CSA...we are planning on returning in the future, we enjoyed it that much...beautiful beach, warm relaxing water, plentiful delicious food at the buffet and restaurants...and drinks at the swim up bar. The Staff were all very friendly and helpful...they were all wonderful and made sure everything was taken care of for us. Be sure to take advantage of the catamaran cruise and other included amenities. We snorkeled twice and the watersports staff were incredible. On one of our snorkel trips, the staff got in the water with us and let us feed schools of colorful, beautiful fish! And....did I mention the sunsets? Only one thing, there were some "vendors" selling substances....just say no thank you, and they will be on their way...All in all, this trip was something we will remember as a lovely, romantic experience....we most def will return.
