I will return for my tenth stay at CSA this December. The location and beach are beautiful. The grounds are covered with palms and the serpentine pathways through the greenery belies the fact that there are a lot of people on the site. Staff are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to meeting staff members who have been at CSA since my first visit. They still remember me. I enjoy the whole experience from socializing over a breakfast of whatever I feel like eating, to the scuba diving on a beautiful new boat. The dive staff is experienced and makes every dive fun and safe for beginners as well as interesting for experienced divers. I enjoy the casual luxury of the place, with no need to dress up in the evenings and the staff being friendly and helpful while not intruding on the experience. The weight room is first class and accommodates the casual work out to some very heavy lifting. Donovan, the supervisor, is a knowledgeable quiet man who can give every assistance with your workout or answer any questions you may have about your fitness plan. Donovan, thanks for helping me to my heaviest lifts while working with you in Jamaica. I enjoy the wide variety of food and have never gone hungry at CSA !!! The tennis courts are well kept and tennis is part of what makes CSA a destination resort. Night life is as varied as the menu, from piano bar to the house band led by the talented Lincon, to visiting singers and performers. Every night different and enjoyable. The rooms are simple, clean spacious. Hats off to Couples Swept Away, my happy place.

We took our Honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was a week to remember. The facility offered everything from health and fitness, luxury spa, night life, entertainment, water and beach activities, excursions, and relaxation. It was a wonderful mix of romance, fun and socializing. The age groups was from 20's to 50's and all guests we met were enjoying their stay. We never heard a single couple with a complaint about the facility. The beach is clean, well groomed and warm as a bath tub. There is drink service to the beach and lots of lounge chairs and floaters for the ocean. If you are looking for a tan there's tons of room but lots of shade for those who prefer to read or just relax. The many restaurants offered wonderful flavours and variety every day. You were never tired of the large buffet but you still had great options for al a cart with the other restaurants. There are two finer dining al a cart restaurants so bring at least two nice outfits so you can celebrate in style. There is limited beef choices but tons of chicken, fish, seafood, pork and vegetarian options. We also participated in the private dinner on the beach (for an additional fee) and loved the evening would recommend to all. The staff were amazing and the hospitality flowed as well as the free drinks. There was never a request they didn't try to accommodate and they never met you without a smile. We met many guests that were return visitors and we will definitely join the group of repeaters. A Honeymoon to remember. Thank you to Couples Swept Away and Westjet Vacations!

An extraordinary staff, always eager and well disposed to help. The sports and spa facilities are excellent and the best in Jamaica. For an all inclusive, it is very satisfying that they don't cut corners, the food is 5 star, excellent quality liquor, bar service, even on the beach!! The long beach and the crystal clear water was a perfect scene. Great entertainment, morning and evening at the Palms, great effort put out by the entire staff to stage the Friday night Beach party. Even at 98% capacity, the layout and facilities are such that you never feel crowded, never fighting for a good spot on the beach. Was our second time back, going back next year with friends. Thank you swept away for another wonderful experience. Anthony and Mary

Couples Swept Away was a perfect honeymoon! It was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of pools to find a quite spot, wasn't too big of a resort, not too busy, no big party groups there, activities aimed at couples & honeymooners were a lot of fun. Location was good - 1.5hrs away from airport. Most off resort activities required a little drive - horseback riding only 20mins away. Zipline, however, was about a 2hr drive. Downtown shopping area only a 10min drive if you wanted to buy coffee or booze off resort (we did, big savings). Staff very laid back and easy going. It's a no-tipping, no-cash resort, which is nice, but takes the bartering out of the equation if you're into that. We would go back, for sure. There was an issue to sewer smells on the resort throughout our stay. Might of been related to Hurricane Sandy that was the week before. There was also 2 male bathrooms I noted to have their floor drains back up. Might be an issue that's resolved now, but the smell wasn't pleasant.

We have travelled for years and have stayed at numerous all inclusives in Mexico as well as the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We have also tried top notch cruises and have found Couples Swept away by far the best. First of all the beach - the beach is amazing and goes on for miles. Than there is the staff - who were all extremely welcoming. As to the food, it was very good and the selection of liquors varied and top notch. The exercise facility alone is worth the trip with a lap pool, tennis courts as well as tennis clinics, yoga, pilates, jogging track, basketball court and on and on it goes. All activities are included - water skiing, a sunset cruise, snorkelling in either day light or at night. You can't fit it all in in just a short week. We have already decided to return. Next year we will forgo the beach front verandah suite- as all the rooms are nice -and spend the money on a longer stay.

My wife & I spent two amazing weeks at Couples Swept Away in Negril in Aug 2011. We have never seen a beach so beautiful or water so crystal blue in our lives. The staff at CSA were truly amazing, always smiling & always willing to offer advice or assistance if needed. The Hotel grounds were great, very tropical & lush, the work out facilities were by far the best we?ve ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants were very good & offered a wide variety of dining options. If I had to pick one thing that put Couples Swept Away above any other hotel we stayed at in the past it would have to be all the inclusions. Everything from catamaran cruises & scuba diving to the strict no tipping policy truly helped make our holiday one of the most relaxing getaways we?ve ever been on!

I will start with saying this trip did not live up to our expectations from reading all of the previous reviews. I do not think we have extremely high expectations. However, we have travelled to multiple Caribbean islands and throughout Mexico, so we are quite familiar with all-inclusive resorts. I will try to keep this short, to the point, and cover topics that are either rarely covered or were completely different from the reviews we have read. We stayed the last week on July and upgraded to an atrium suite. Pros-Amazing beach, hotel grounds, food at the restaurants that require reservations, the beach party on Friday was great, and experience of the scuba crew. Cons – The Couples lounge at the airport is very lackluster, far below the other lounges in the airport. The main lobby of the resort is not very nice, compared to other resorts we have been to that are way cheaper. We had to switch rooms the first day because half of the lights in our room did not work and it was extremely loud. We were in building 20, room 1116, atrium suite, right next to the lobby. We moved to room 1217, same building just the second floor. The foot traffic noise was less but the sink was clogged and had a barely functioning shower head. Everyone talks about how friendly the staff are. We met a total of three staff members that stood out to us, Canute at lemongrass was the best. The rest of the staff said what they were supposed to say. However their tone was that of annoyance. The staff working the front desk was the worst. You would figure these would be the people best suited to convey the resort’s willingness to help, not the case at all. Many people talk about the locals selling their goods on the beach. It was a big annoyance to us. We understand they are trying to make a living. However, if I say no thank you when you pass don’t come back by every 30 minutes asking again. If you say “no thank you” to marijuana they ask if you would like a bracelet, then para sailing, then coke, then a reggae CD, and so on. They will yell at you when you are lying in your chair on the resort property until you acknowledge them. The catamaran cruise was a big letdown. We had high hopes since we heard them coming in the day before we went on the trip. They were all singing and dancing, seemed like it was a good time. You get on the boat and there is an old man who signs one song as the boat is pulling away. Once out of ear shot from the resort all music stops and then it is time for them to start peddling their goods. The signer tries to sell his bracelets and the woman who takes your ticket to get on the boat spends the rest of the trip trying to get you to buy here swimsuit cover-ups. Our friends left a day before we did and had some items stolen from their bags at the Jamaican airport. They did not have TSA locks on their bags though. This review also includes the comments from us and our friends. In all, we will never return to a couples resort. We highly recommend the One Love Pub crawl. The best time we had in Jamaica, hands down. PS. If you have a job that gives drug tests be careful. So much marijuana being smoked on the resort we would have to alter our route to and from the beach to avoid the second hand smoke.

Let me declare that I will be in this hotel over this coming Christmas & New Year for the 11th year running so you might say that my review will be biased...not so... This hotel is more than the sum of its parts, there are more luxurious hotels in Jamaica, there are other hotels on great beaches in Jamaica...but,this hotel has a unique design spread over a vast area of one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere,no building is higher than the swaying palm trees all the buildings are linked with pathways through the well maintained tropical gardens, the rooms are not plush, and do need a bit of modernising but I ask how long do you spend in your room...not much! The staff, are in the main wonderful, there is only the odd one who will be awkward for awkward sake, from the general manager through to the ground staff they will make your stay memorable The food, surpasses its self every year we go,there is a great choice of restaurants and you will never be disappointed The bar, endless quality.......need I say more For the active,as many water or land based sports as you can handle For the idle,(me) acres of beach plenty of loungers served with great waiting staff who will tend to your thirst Entertainment, every year we are amazed at the high standard of performer we see. Party season, from Santa on the beach on Christmas morning to the best New Years party you could experience (and as a Scotsman I have experienced a few) and if you ask nice the GM (a lady) will give you a dance....don't stand on her feet like me As I said it ain't nothing but a house party,we have made many many friends over the years and arriving in CSA on the 22nd of December is like arriving at a fantastic hours party....cheers!

The overall value of the resort is in line with the Caribbean's hotels falling in this category. The only thing left us really disappointing was the room quality. I mean, rooms are large and have standard furniture, so they're not bad but we had the unlucky to stay in a room in building 1 ( you can find it on the attached map ) and it was REALLY NOISY! we couldn't sleep well that night. The morning after, we asked to change room and they promptly gave as another one, in the same category ( in building 8 ) but unfortunately it was exactly noisy as the previous one. ALL the rooms in building 1 to 11 are just 5 to 10 meters far from a main road ( under the blue line in attached map ) traveled by buses, trucks, cars and motorcycles. So be AWARE that, if you like going in a quiet place ( like you are supposed to, at the Caribbean ) or you have problems sleeping in noisy places, DON'T BOOK these rooms! once arrived, to change room to a different type, you'll be asked to pay an additional fee to upgrade your room. Ask travel company a confirmation email with the room's qualities you asked for because, in any unlucky event, you'll be asked to pay an extra fee to upgrade your room to get what you've already paid for( words won't be enough ).I tell this because, while there, it happened to us and two more couple we met there. Restaurants would pretend to be high class restaurant but they aren't; menus are pretty limited and buffets are really limited and have just a week rotation. If you're going to stay there more than a week you'll find same weekly menu you had the week before. Beach is stunning and complimentary beach activities are above the average, so they really worth the money. Nights entertainments are, most of the times, boring and limited. The only remarkable thing is the effort the STAFF puts on making your holiday the best possible. All of them work hard and, even if they don't success all the times, they really try to do their best! The resort is really expansive, considered all so i really hope at least half of the money customers spend there go to the staff.
