I will return for my tenth stay at CSA this December. The location and beach are beautiful. The grounds are covered with palms and the serpentine pathways through the greenery belies the fact that there are a lot of people on the site. Staff are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to meeting staff members who have been at CSA since my first visit. They still remember me. I enjoy the whole experience from socializing over a breakfast of whatever I feel like eating, to the scuba diving on a beautiful new boat. The dive staff is experienced and makes every dive fun and safe for beginners as well as interesting for experienced divers. I enjoy the casual luxury of the place, with no need to dress up in the evenings and the staff being friendly and helpful while not intruding on the experience. The weight room is first class and accommodates the casual work out to some very heavy lifting. Donovan, the supervisor, is a knowledgeable quiet man who can give every assistance with your workout or answer any questions you may have about your fitness plan. Donovan, thanks for helping me to my heaviest lifts while working with you in Jamaica. I enjoy the wide variety of food and have never gone hungry at CSA !!! The tennis courts are well kept and tennis is part of what makes CSA a destination resort. Night life is as varied as the menu, from piano bar to the house band led by the talented Lincon, to visiting singers and performers. Every night different and enjoyable. The rooms are simple, clean spacious. Hats off to Couples Swept Away, my happy place.

We took our Honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was a week to remember. The facility offered everything from health and fitness, luxury spa, night life, entertainment, water and beach activities, excursions, and relaxation. It was a wonderful mix of romance, fun and socializing. The age groups was from 20's to 50's and all guests we met were enjoying their stay. We never heard a single couple with a complaint about the facility. The beach is clean, well groomed and warm as a bath tub. There is drink service to the beach and lots of lounge chairs and floaters for the ocean. If you are looking for a tan there's tons of room but lots of shade for those who prefer to read or just relax. The many restaurants offered wonderful flavours and variety every day. You were never tired of the large buffet but you still had great options for al a cart with the other restaurants. There are two finer dining al a cart restaurants so bring at least two nice outfits so you can celebrate in style. There is limited beef choices but tons of chicken, fish, seafood, pork and vegetarian options. We also participated in the private dinner on the beach (for an additional fee) and loved the evening would recommend to all. The staff were amazing and the hospitality flowed as well as the free drinks. There was never a request they didn't try to accommodate and they never met you without a smile. We met many guests that were return visitors and we will definitely join the group of repeaters. A Honeymoon to remember. Thank you to Couples Swept Away and Westjet Vacations!

An extraordinary staff, always eager and well disposed to help. The sports and spa facilities are excellent and the best in Jamaica. For an all inclusive, it is very satisfying that they don't cut corners, the food is 5 star, excellent quality liquor, bar service, even on the beach!! The long beach and the crystal clear water was a perfect scene. Great entertainment, morning and evening at the Palms, great effort put out by the entire staff to stage the Friday night Beach party. Even at 98% capacity, the layout and facilities are such that you never feel crowded, never fighting for a good spot on the beach. Was our second time back, going back next year with friends. Thank you swept away for another wonderful experience. Anthony and Mary

Couples Swept Away was a perfect honeymoon! It was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of pools to find a quite spot, wasn't too big of a resort, not too busy, no big party groups there, activities aimed at couples & honeymooners were a lot of fun. Location was good - 1.5hrs away from airport. Most off resort activities required a little drive - horseback riding only 20mins away. Zipline, however, was about a 2hr drive. Downtown shopping area only a 10min drive if you wanted to buy coffee or booze off resort (we did, big savings). Staff very laid back and easy going. It's a no-tipping, no-cash resort, which is nice, but takes the bartering out of the equation if you're into that. We would go back, for sure. There was an issue to sewer smells on the resort throughout our stay. Might of been related to Hurricane Sandy that was the week before. There was also 2 male bathrooms I noted to have their floor drains back up. Might be an issue that's resolved now, but the smell wasn't pleasant.

We have travelled for years and have stayed at numerous all inclusives in Mexico as well as the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We have also tried top notch cruises and have found Couples Swept away by far the best. First of all the beach - the beach is amazing and goes on for miles. Than there is the staff - who were all extremely welcoming. As to the food, it was very good and the selection of liquors varied and top notch. The exercise facility alone is worth the trip with a lap pool, tennis courts as well as tennis clinics, yoga, pilates, jogging track, basketball court and on and on it goes. All activities are included - water skiing, a sunset cruise, snorkelling in either day light or at night. You can't fit it all in in just a short week. We have already decided to return. Next year we will forgo the beach front verandah suite- as all the rooms are nice -and spend the money on a longer stay.

My wife & I spent two amazing weeks at Couples Swept Away in Negril in Aug 2011. We have never seen a beach so beautiful or water so crystal blue in our lives. The staff at CSA were truly amazing, always smiling & always willing to offer advice or assistance if needed. The Hotel grounds were great, very tropical & lush, the work out facilities were by far the best we?ve ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants were very good & offered a wide variety of dining options. If I had to pick one thing that put Couples Swept Away above any other hotel we stayed at in the past it would have to be all the inclusions. Everything from catamaran cruises & scuba diving to the strict no tipping policy truly helped make our holiday one of the most relaxing getaways we?ve ever been on!

We booked an atrium suite and were very happy with our choice. While not fancy, they have everything you need and the hammock was a wonderful way to spend a rainy afternoon. Like others have said, the beach is amazing and really the reason you come to this resort. We weren't in either pool because why would you get in a pool when the ocean is within view. We loved the pool floaties and didn't have a problem finding a beach chair in the morning with access to shade. We took advantage of the catamaran and snorkeling and enjoyed both. The food was the best we've had at an all-inclusive and we ate at Lemongrass twice. The martini bar was my personal favorite because I'm not a huge tropical drink girl but my husband loved the beach drinks as well. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. The beach vendors were persistent, but we knew to expect it and it couldn't detract from the fact that you're on a beautiful beach with a drink in hand. We would definitely return.

We stayed a CSA for 8 days & enjoyed every single day. The airport transfer was smooth ( although driving in Jamaica is scary overall). We were greeted at CSA with many smiles, cool washcloths, & champagne! We felt at home right away. We checked in & our rooms were ready, bags were dropped off to the rooms with no problems! We stayed in an Atrium room & loved it, we fell asleep to the sound of tree frogs. The mattresses are firm as other reviewers mentioned but I did not mind this at all, I actually rather a firm mattress than an worn in soft one. We met with Pricilla the wedding coordinator at the resort the day after arrival, she confirmed everything & went over the details. At this point I knew our wedding would be great. She answered my many questions & we were also able to make minor changes & add- ons. We got married at the resort, although there were issues with power outages the spa did a great job with hair and makeup & also were nice enough to refund some of our services charges for the inconvenience. Everything for our wedding ceremony went great & CSA exceeded our expectations. I was prepared for things to not be perfect, but let me tell you, they were way more perfect than expected. There were so many employees involved in our big day and each one of them went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. It was over 90 degrees with high humidity ( as expected) there were staff members giving myself and family members cool towels and water to keep us feeling well. One staff member put a cool washcloth on my back to cool me down in my dress before pictures. I am forever grateful for CSA staff for making our wedding day perfect. I wish I could remember everyone's names but there were truly so many involved. The ladies who did our hair and makeup even came to the ceremony, it was nice to see them. My hair and makeup held up from my 8am appt well until after dinner. Thank you Pricilla for making our day unforgettable. We will forever love CSA " our home" and cannot wait to come back. If you are considering CSA for a destination wedding I highly recommend it, they will make your wedding day & vacation unforgettable & perfect.

My husband and I traveled here for our honeymoon for 8 days, starting on May 12th. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted with champagne and smiles. Because of our flight, we were unable to enter the room immediately, but were told to enjoy all of the amenities that Swept Away offered while the room was being prepared for us. This didn't bother us, even though we had been travelling for the better part of 7 hours. We enjoyed a good lunch of burgers while we walked on the beach and explored the beauty that is Swept Away. After we got our room sorted out, napped, and figured out our dining options, we went to The Palms, which was by far our favorite restaurant. Not only was it located right next to our room, but everything there was outstandingly delicious. We went there for every breakfast, and most lunches. The staff was always agreeable, and tried to make small talk. Sometimes it was successful, other times it came off as a come-on, especially when my husband wasn't around. The other restaurants were very good as well, but the food at the Palms never varied in flavor. Our second favorite restaurant was Feathers, which you need a reservation for. The waitstaff at that restaurant was the best wait staff that I have ever witnessed in my life. The meals there are definitely for foodies, and they are divine. I highly recommend the cheesecake, and I hate cheesecake. The Seagrape Cafe was perfect for snacks and smoothies between meals. It was very refreshing, especially in the humid weather. We never made it out to Patois, but we heard good things about it while we were there. The Cabana Grill was an awesome place to grab some lunch and watch the volleyball games too. The beach was beautiful and was everything we could have hoped for. The staff raked the sand every morning to ensure it maintained it's pristine quality. If you want one of the thatched umbrellas, I recommend waking up early (around 6 or before) to go claim one. It's not a bother, but just something helpful to know. My husband and I are both very pale and had to search for a shaded spot by 10 in the morning. There are vendors who walk the beach. Generally, they take the hint if you're not interested in buying any of their wares, but they are very loud and you can hear them coming from quite a distance. Again, not a drawback, just something to be aware of. There are tons of things to do while you're at the beach too. We only did the kayaking & beach volleyball, but I wish we would have participated in snorkeling and scuba as well. We stayed in the Atrium Suites and absolutely loved it. Instead of a TV, there is a hammock outside. During the daily rain shower, I would sit and read on the hammock until I fell asleep. I will say that some of the shade panels in the room were in need of repair; some would not stay closed. Also, AC tended to work on overdrive even while turned to a lower level while we were gone. The bed was very comfortable and had a range of pillows. The robes were generic, but worked for their intended purpose. The bathrooms were outdated. Definitely bring your own shampoo. Theirs is extremely watered down. We did have fantastic water pressure, but it is a walk in shower, and water will go everywhere if you're not careful. The rooms are definitely not soundproof. We enjoyed it because we could listen to the nightly shows from the comfort of our own room. But we also heard the clatter of the breakfast prep, as well as the loud music from the resort next to Swept Away. Again, this is nothing that could change, and it didn't take away from our experience. It's just nice to know. Definitely go on the sunset (booze) cruise. It's a lot of fun, and exhilarating to swim through an ocean cave. Also, go off of the slide on it. It makes you feel like a kid again. Don't leave cash out in your room. The maid will take it as a tip (husband learned that the hard way). If the vendors are pestering you, tell them flat out that you don't have any cash on you. Shanice is the best. She talked with us every day, and even ate lunch with us one afternoon. She knows everything about the resort, Jamaica, and football (or soccer, whichever you prefer). Participate in the scheduled events and get resort bucks. Then go to the auction and "bid" on a bottle of rum. We got one for free. You don't have to tip, but you can tell that those who do get better service. PAY FOR MOBAY! We had expedited customs, snacks, and adult beverages waiting for us for the ride there and back. Bring cash in smaller bills to tip your transport crew. My favorite part was the ability to do nothing at all. Neither my husband, nor myself, carried a wallet with us for the duration we were there. We rarely had to leave our beach seat to get a beverage; just post your flag when your half way through your current drink, and someone will take care of you. We never made our bed, did dishes, etc. It was a perfect break from life.

This place is rustic, older and doesn't have the appeal I was hoping I would see after looking at the pictures. The pools are gross and tiny, but the beach is gorgeous so who needs a pool you are there for the beach..the food is the BEST I have ever had at an all-inclusive, I have to say I never once had a bad meal! The steel drums were amazing, the bon fire on the beach too!

Visited here from Aug. 19th to 24th of 2015. I will try not to go into details.. you'll find enough detailed reviews here, and please read them all including the poor reviews because it all makes sense, if you like party, spring break type of resort this is NOT it. If you like (like us) relaxing vacation and enjoying each others company this is the place to go to (We are travelers and we are familiar with Mexico and DR vacations, please don't compare them since this resort has a totally different vibe). Living and working in NYC life can get very stressful at times, this vacation was exactly what we needed it! It was the most relaxing, peaceful, quite and beautiful vacation ever. Food was great, quality over quantity! Staff were friendly! Beach was amazing! We booked the Atrium Suite (building 27) it was a gorgeous tropical room, with huge patio steps away from the beach with a beautiful ocean view! It exceeded our expectation! Security on the beach was 5 out of 5. High five to Keisha she was on top of everything! Ride to and from the resort was pleasant. I already recommended this resort to our friends/family and I will definitely consider going back. It's perfect just the way it is!
