I will return for my tenth stay at CSA this December. The location and beach are beautiful. The grounds are covered with palms and the serpentine pathways through the greenery belies the fact that there are a lot of people on the site. Staff are friendly and helpful. I always look forward to meeting staff members who have been at CSA since my first visit. They still remember me. I enjoy the whole experience from socializing over a breakfast of whatever I feel like eating, to the scuba diving on a beautiful new boat. The dive staff is experienced and makes every dive fun and safe for beginners as well as interesting for experienced divers. I enjoy the casual luxury of the place, with no need to dress up in the evenings and the staff being friendly and helpful while not intruding on the experience. The weight room is first class and accommodates the casual work out to some very heavy lifting. Donovan, the supervisor, is a knowledgeable quiet man who can give every assistance with your workout or answer any questions you may have about your fitness plan. Donovan, thanks for helping me to my heaviest lifts while working with you in Jamaica. I enjoy the wide variety of food and have never gone hungry at CSA !!! The tennis courts are well kept and tennis is part of what makes CSA a destination resort. Night life is as varied as the menu, from piano bar to the house band led by the talented Lincon, to visiting singers and performers. Every night different and enjoyable. The rooms are simple, clean spacious. Hats off to Couples Swept Away, my happy place.

We took our Honeymoon at Couples Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was a week to remember. The facility offered everything from health and fitness, luxury spa, night life, entertainment, water and beach activities, excursions, and relaxation. It was a wonderful mix of romance, fun and socializing. The age groups was from 20's to 50's and all guests we met were enjoying their stay. We never heard a single couple with a complaint about the facility. The beach is clean, well groomed and warm as a bath tub. There is drink service to the beach and lots of lounge chairs and floaters for the ocean. If you are looking for a tan there's tons of room but lots of shade for those who prefer to read or just relax. The many restaurants offered wonderful flavours and variety every day. You were never tired of the large buffet but you still had great options for al a cart with the other restaurants. There are two finer dining al a cart restaurants so bring at least two nice outfits so you can celebrate in style. There is limited beef choices but tons of chicken, fish, seafood, pork and vegetarian options. We also participated in the private dinner on the beach (for an additional fee) and loved the evening would recommend to all. The staff were amazing and the hospitality flowed as well as the free drinks. There was never a request they didn't try to accommodate and they never met you without a smile. We met many guests that were return visitors and we will definitely join the group of repeaters. A Honeymoon to remember. Thank you to Couples Swept Away and Westjet Vacations!

An extraordinary staff, always eager and well disposed to help. The sports and spa facilities are excellent and the best in Jamaica. For an all inclusive, it is very satisfying that they don't cut corners, the food is 5 star, excellent quality liquor, bar service, even on the beach!! The long beach and the crystal clear water was a perfect scene. Great entertainment, morning and evening at the Palms, great effort put out by the entire staff to stage the Friday night Beach party. Even at 98% capacity, the layout and facilities are such that you never feel crowded, never fighting for a good spot on the beach. Was our second time back, going back next year with friends. Thank you swept away for another wonderful experience. Anthony and Mary

Couples Swept Away was a perfect honeymoon! It was exactly what we were looking for. Lots of pools to find a quite spot, wasn't too big of a resort, not too busy, no big party groups there, activities aimed at couples & honeymooners were a lot of fun. Location was good - 1.5hrs away from airport. Most off resort activities required a little drive - horseback riding only 20mins away. Zipline, however, was about a 2hr drive. Downtown shopping area only a 10min drive if you wanted to buy coffee or booze off resort (we did, big savings). Staff very laid back and easy going. It's a no-tipping, no-cash resort, which is nice, but takes the bartering out of the equation if you're into that. We would go back, for sure. There was an issue to sewer smells on the resort throughout our stay. Might of been related to Hurricane Sandy that was the week before. There was also 2 male bathrooms I noted to have their floor drains back up. Might be an issue that's resolved now, but the smell wasn't pleasant.

We have travelled for years and have stayed at numerous all inclusives in Mexico as well as the Dominican Republic and Cuba. We have also tried top notch cruises and have found Couples Swept away by far the best. First of all the beach - the beach is amazing and goes on for miles. Than there is the staff - who were all extremely welcoming. As to the food, it was very good and the selection of liquors varied and top notch. The exercise facility alone is worth the trip with a lap pool, tennis courts as well as tennis clinics, yoga, pilates, jogging track, basketball court and on and on it goes. All activities are included - water skiing, a sunset cruise, snorkelling in either day light or at night. You can't fit it all in in just a short week. We have already decided to return. Next year we will forgo the beach front verandah suite- as all the rooms are nice -and spend the money on a longer stay.

My wife & I spent two amazing weeks at Couples Swept Away in Negril in Aug 2011. We have never seen a beach so beautiful or water so crystal blue in our lives. The staff at CSA were truly amazing, always smiling & always willing to offer advice or assistance if needed. The Hotel grounds were great, very tropical & lush, the work out facilities were by far the best we?ve ever experienced at a hotel. The restaurants were very good & offered a wide variety of dining options. If I had to pick one thing that put Couples Swept Away above any other hotel we stayed at in the past it would have to be all the inclusions. Everything from catamaran cruises & scuba diving to the strict no tipping policy truly helped make our holiday one of the most relaxing getaways we?ve ever been on!

Staff were almost all incredibly friendly and helpful. Tennis lessons with Brenton were very good, he knows what he is talking about. We upgraded our room for not much extra but ended up with a lovely room, with views of the beach from the terrace. Food, whilst not exactly at the cutting edge of modern cuisine, was very tasty and plentiful. I would not bother with Patois Patios restaurant, The palms and feathers were easily the best. Lemongrass restaurant was just ok, I preferred the buffet option at palms. The beach is one of the nicest I have ever been to. Long with white sand, clear sea and the perfect temperature. We could have stayed in the water all day. We did not use any of the pools all week, the sea was so good. There is a very nice lap pool, if that is your thing. The sports centre is fantastic, with lots of different exercise classes each day. When on the beach in the resort, you do not get much hassle from the local sellers, but venture away from the resort and you are constantly badgered. We found it very wearing. It is a shame, but it would have been nice to explore the aerobat we could not face it. The clientele are largely from the states, we did not come across many from the UK.

This place is special to us because we honeymooned there (some 9 years ago) and then the year following our honeymoon we made a brief long weekend visit. Since it had been 8 years since we last visited CSA, we were wondering if it was still the 'same place' where we initially did feel so 'swept away'.... Reading about difficult check ins, garden verandah rooms along the noisy road, reading about unfriendly service and reading about "the shade game", left us ... anxious. But with our own personal good experience (albeit 8/9 years ago) and recent good reviews, we decided on CSA for a 3rd time. The verdict? The caption says it all! WONDERFUL! FANTASTIC! And yes, 3rd Time Swept Away! Our GVS (#2103) felt secluded and wonderful. Was there road noise? I suppose there was... but honestly, nothing to speak of and certainly nothing that interfered with our peace and relaxation (and we are people who also do spend time in our room on vacation). The "shade game"? Well I can say that whenever we were ready to hit the beach, we ALWAYS found a shady spot. No, not under the palapa huts, but a shady spot nonetheless - and not jammed around a bunch of people either. The service? OMG! Literally every staff member we encountered was nothing but kind, interested, vested and truly service oriented. We were CONSTANTLY being asked "are you good?" and if we needed anything. Drinks (water AND COCKTAILS) were refilled WITHOUT a word - bartenders remembered what we were drinking. I said to my husband several times "How could anyone say the service is unfriendly here!?!?" One breakfast morning at the Palms, I went back for these yummy hashbrown triangles only to find there were gone (it was close to closing time). I merely made a frown face to my husband across the room - and one of the employees (who was not a waiter but manning the omlette station) noticed! He quickly went into action and minutes later personally delivered fresh hashbrowns to me on a plate at my table! If we wanted "extras" during any meal (LEMONGRASS!!! Amazing! We literally were like "more, more!") we were brought anything extra we wanted - with a smile! The Food? In case it wasn't properly alluded to (LOL), we loved the food! The chips and dip, snapper, fish tacos and smoothies (and capaccino - LOL) at Seagrapes was wonderful. Buffet breakfast was not complete without made to order omelettes and waffles. The "Repeat Guest" dinner was FABULOUS! Lemongrass left us talking for days about the spring rolls, the snapper dinner with garlic chili sauce and wait for it.... the fried coconut icecream and the chili brownie with icecream - ahhh! Feathers was delicious, well paced service and top shelf drinks! And the beef kabob at Patois literally brought a tear to my eye, it was so amazing. The Grill and the jerk chicken... soooo sooooo good (that was all we remembered from our honeymoon 9 years ago! and it was still just as fantastic!) SPECIAL MENTIONS to: Conrad/Operations Manager, Tevin / Grill Bartender who gave us those Bob Marleys that had us passed out, LOL), Kemoy / Seagrapes - literally the nicest smile and service ever, Oniri (sp?) at Seagrapes and many more whose names escape us. 3rd Time Swept Away and we WON'T wait 8/9 years to return again!

It's our first time here and we are already planning on going back. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. The entertainment crew like Shanice, Rosalind, Jahfet, and Richard made our stay more fun. My bf, Rob was very impressed by Alrick from watersports. He really stood out as a class act. Big shout out to the one and only Ricky Nelson and our server, Nicole at the Palms. All the water activities are included like the catamaran cruise, hobie cat, glass bottom boat, snorkeling, kayak, stand up paddle, but make sure you sign up early. Beautiful beach. Great food and top shelf alcohol. You gotta try the Bob Marley drink. They have a live band every night at the Palms at 9:15, definitely very good. Then when they finished, you can go to the Blazing Piano or go to the Aura Bar (disco). They have daytime and night time activities so make sure you read the activity book. They also have a gym with sauna, lap pool, ping pong table and pool table. Our room was always cleaned and our bed was made 2x a day. We made friends there like Marshall and Shayne, Janet and John. We didn't get to fill out the survey form before we leave coz we stayed up late on our last night (well we do that every night) and we had to leave at 7 a.m.

Just returned from a 10 night stay at Couples Swept Away and we have thoroughly enjoyed it. We read a load of reviews before we travelled and had a few concerns but these are our honest opinions. Met at the airport and taken to the Couples lounge while our bags were being loaded onto the bus but Red Stripe on tap after a 10 hour flight was a welcome surprise. The journey to resort does take approx 1.5 hours with comfort stop factored in but it wasn't an unpleasant journey. The rooms were beautiful with excellent maid and turn-down service. We only booked a Garden Suite which all seem to be situated on the back parameter of the resort nearest the road so I was a bit concerned the traffic might be noisy. Yes, it was audible at times but not really a problem. Lovely verandah with tropical gardens to look out on.The mini bar is great with good choice for you to select your tipple from! Food was especially good for an all inclusive especially being able to choose between al la carte and buffet for each meal and still be able to reserve tables at Lemongrass and Feathers (both of which were outstanding). Had absolutely no issue with service and found the staff to be cheerful, friendly and helpful. The beach was superb (with crystal clear water), however this is also where are main issue was. There are only a few palapas/thatched parasols and as my husband has very fair skin, we had to get up really early every day to secure one. We would never reserve these and leave for hours so we did make full use of the morning sun which wasn't as strong but we did notice others that were reserving them and not using them until much later on which seemed a little selfish. However, if there had been more shade, this probably wouldn't have happened. The trees do provide some shade but obviously as the sun moves, they can become more exposed over the course of the day. If we were to go again, I would probably look to invest in one of the travel lightweight parasols to give us more flexibility. There are a few vendors on the beach but they don't annoy you and the guards make sure they are not a nuisance. We didn't stay up late every night but what entertainment we saw seemed fine and we had a couple of nights in the Piano Lounge/Aura Club if we fancied more of a party! All the people we mat were really friendly and was nice to have a couple of beers at the beach bars after a day on the beach. It did rain every day (usually only for an hour or so in the afternoon) but as we were on the beach first thing, this didn't bother us at all. I had no problem with WiFi which worked both in the resort/room and on the beach so fine for average use (ie, Facebook/Skype). Apart from the small gripe about the lack of shade on the beach, this was an excellent choice of resort with beautifully maintained grounds and I think because we weren't expecting the food to be as good as it it was, we absolutely loved it and would certainly consider it again if we went back to Jamaica!
