OVERALL: My husband and I absolutely love Renaissance Aruba; this is our third stay. Despite the global pandemic, we felt safe, comfortable, welcomed and right at home - as always. The staff are all amazing as usual!! The day we left (8/5/20), masks were required by all guests, so I wouldn’t recommend traveling to Aruba right now until the cases go back down. It would not have been as enjoyable if we had to wear masks everywhere during our stay. FOOD: Marina is closed for renovations, as well as Blue and Aquarius, which was a bummer because we LOVE the buffet and adults-only side. However, the hotel isn’t at full capacity, so staying at ocean suites side wasn’t too bad. But again, we missed the buffet, having the luxury of eating whenever we wanted, and being adults-only...and seeing our hosts’ faces of course!!! I am a vegan, and the cook made exceptions for me. The down side of having to eat at Fresco or Sole each day for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner is that you have to be seated and served, which costs more in tips. So, prepare to spend a little more than usual, as buffet style is NOT available right now, so there is no serving yourself. And Fresco is closed from 11:30 AM - 5 PM, so limited options during those times. We ended up ordering room service a few times because the food options were much better during that time for me as a vegan. If you’re all-inclusive, room service is free (minus tip). Also, everything on the island closes at 11 PM - no exceptions. So, no late night partying right now. TRANSPORTATION: ATV and UTVs are no longer permitted in Arikok National Park, but you can rent a Jeep and enter the park that way (or with tour guide). SHOUT OUTS: amazing staff members, including (but not limited to): Luzmarina, Melanie, Brianhen, Italo, William, Diana, Aieshelline/Ebony, Marc and of course our Betty!!!

On 8/1/20, Lindo was our butler for the day of a cabana rental. He was very attentive, checking in on us and anything we may have wanted. We did order breakfast that morning, and he was great with timing and delivery. Very much appreciated his efficiency and all his efforts. TY, Lindo.

My husband and I came here for 6 nights during our honeymoon. We decided to do the all inclusive package and after reading some mixed reviews we were glad we did it! The hotel has recently changed what’s allowed on it due to covid, but it’s changed for the better! You get way more bang for your buck! Every meal you are allowed 3 courses per person ( 1 app, 1 Entrée, and 1 dessert, per Person!) the portions are large so we eventually had to stop getting dessert ?? the only exception we saw was on each drink menu there are “specialty drinks” about 4 or 5 each menu and those are an up charge, but honestly there are so many other options you don’t need that! We stayed on the ocean suites side (family friendly) because we figured we wanted beach access. It wasn’t too crowded and we didn’t have to get pool chairs until about 10 am before they started getting picked over. The adult only pool was sadly closed due to construction, but walking by it, it looks like it’s going to be amazing when it’s done! A couple of the other bars were also closed due to covid, which was understandable. Our favorite part of this resort was the island. Renaissance island is divided into family’s and adults only. Each side has 7 over water cabanas to rent and after our first day we loved it so much we rented it again the next! It was well worth it. The snorkeling on the island is awesome if you get to go when the wind is slightly died down. No need to worry about sharks because other swim area is blocked off by rocks which is great! Also the flamingos are so fun! There is also a gym, tennis courts, and walking trails. They also have kayaks and floats to use in the water. The food on the island is also amazing!! You get there by a quick 5-10 min boat ride. Those guys are amazing at maneuvering around the waves on windy days, so no need to worry about getting sea sick, if you’re like me! One day we did a couples massage on the island, and if you’re thinking about it, do it! It was amazing. It’s in a private over water cabana and you just hear the waves slashing. It was the best massage I’ve ever had! The service everywhere we went on the resort is top notch!!! On the island our servers Gregory, johnathan, Donovan and Sydney we’re our servers and we can’t say enough great things about them. We were blown away by how kind and attentive they were! At the pool bar/restaurant we had awesome service from Juliet, Nelson (who makes a great mojito), Jacque, and Aisheline!! (Just to name a few) We can’t wait to come back and check out all the renovations at the marina/adult only side.

We spent a solid 6 hours laying beach/poolside, eating and drinking. We had one server the entire time, Carmen Chavez. She did a wonderful job and was very attentive. Spent lots of money thanks to her. This is our second visit. We’ll definitely be back.

The staff went out of their way to be accommodating and welcoming and we were upgraded to a nice ocean view room. I had mentioned that it was my son's birthday and they left cookies and balloons in the room. The private island was great as well. Great stay for a Marriott platinum member.
