My Stepmom and I were due to visit Aruba November 2019, for my 50th birthday. Unfortunately the day before we were scheduled to fly out, she fell and fractured her arm. we finally made it to Aruba one year later, while I was still 50. We stayed at the Suites, in a room overlooking the pool and lagoon. It was amazing!!!! The Hotel Staff went above and beyond to create a lasting memory. Our Maid, Maritza Suarez made sure all our room needs were taken care and left us fun surprises everyday. Our waiters and waitresses, Sigmar and Rosalba “Rosy” made sure we were always, well fed ad “watered”. Cesar was on top of our travel between the hotels. He was funny and courteous and always had a wave as we passed by. Finally Andrey, our waiter at the mouth watering restaurant, L.G. Smith Steak, told amazing stories, delighted us with humor and provided an outstanding experience.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving and found the property to be clean and welcoming. Check in was simple and efficient and we were upgraded for being a Titanium member. Pros: - large resort that allows for safe social distancing - rooms have mini balconies and refrigerators - amazing private island. - two large bottles of water per room per night for free - friendly staff - 10 minute drive to airport - walking distance to nice restaurants Cons - self parking is at least 7 minute walk down the Main Street - breakfast was just meh. If it’s included in the rate then grab it but if not, skip it and go outside the resort. The pastries were hard and dry. - being on the Main Street, traffic noise can be a problem. - cabana prices are outrageous at $370 per day but whatever.

    Private Island the Best

We booked the Ocean Suites room. Perfect size for our family of three. Make sure to request pool view versus island view. Island view is literally a view of their parking lot and the staff taking their smoke breaks. The rooms are pretty sound proof you can’t hear any pool noise. And the bedrooms are pretty dark you wake up and have no clue the time. We didn’t like that there is only lukewarm water no hot water for the showers/faucets. The pool area is nice. Our only complaint is they allow smoking. So at any time of day smokers can descend. One afternoon after lunch we were smoked out by chain smokers and cigar smokers. People were smoking around the pool and in the pool. It was horrible. My daughter kept coughing and I ended up with an asthma attack. So I don’t recommend this hotel if you have young kids or breathing issues. Their private island is what makes this resort worth it. The island is nice and comes with a lot of free water sports. We got floats, kayaks and paddle boards for no rental charge. They also have snorkel gear. The beach is calm and shallow even far out which makes it perfect for kids or non swimmers. There is some snorkeling where you can see some small fish. Of course there are flamingos but they know they run the island. They don’t want you to feed them and the males can be a bit aggressive. We had more fun feeding the pigeons which will land on your hand and eat out of it. All in all it was nice for our first trip to Aruba but we’d definitely stay elsewhere next time.

I fell in love with this hotel and the employees. I had a hotel booked north but though about spending a night to see the flamingos. It was nothing short of a perfect stay. The employees from the bell hop to Jennifer at the bar and Camilla at the front desk took care amd seemed to watch out and answer every question I had. I will be returning again next year and I was able to get some amazing pictures with my friend that lives in Aruba with the beautiful flamingos..... cheers until my return....

Cheryl Adamus, a STANDOUT ! Always has time for everyone. If my lawfirm was hiring, I'd have her run the office. A true professional....She emulates the Island logo.....One Happy Island. Simply, THE BEST. Also, extremely knowledgeable of The Island, ETC.
