Traveling from US requires mandatory quarantine until results of second COVID test are in. The Crane made this feel like a vacation... great room service, exquisite suite with amazing views of the beach/ocean, friendly and helpful staff, good food... The Crane leaves nothing out and I highly recommend this resort for any kind of holiday!

As the Uk is a high risk country to Barbados you have to have a test before you arrive and then a few days later. The Crane didn’t feel like quarantine at all-room service is brilliant, the rooms are gorgeous and there’s even a pool with amazing views. Second test was done on site and results back in just over 24 hours. Chris is a wonderful GM and Chanelle (sorry if I spelled it wrong) was brill. All the staff were great and the service was first class! Thanks for making my quarantine feel like a holiday after all.

Once again kudos to the Crane Resort for ensuring that the Anniversary/Birthday celebrations were excellent.Overall this was the 12th staycation at what i consider to be the best value for money staycation on the island. We chose a room with a 28foot pool and dined at L'Azure, Zen and D'Onofrio's. All covid 19 protocols were in place and we felt extremely comfortable, looking forward already to next year.

Given the current pandemic situation, we decided to do a staycation to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The room we stayed in had a plunge pool and was similar to a high-end 1 bedroom condominium. The scenic views of the beach and property from our room was a spectacular sight to see every morning. The staff were very cordial, friendly and informative. I really enjoyed our stayed and can't wait to go back again.

The good In my experience are the room, beautifully equipped, clean, with its own plunge pool terrace and BBQ. Great white goods, fab American style fridge and washing machine. 2 TVs, comfy king size bed and white linen. Helpful bus boy, mostly helpful reception staff. The bad Administration and management .Reservations and Reception not in synch. Restaurant not in synch with hotel rules. (I came as a hotel guest with a negative COVID Certificate taken on the 2 October 48 hours before flying). Supposed to be picked up at airport - I emailed twice and my daughter's boyfriend rang them. When I finally got out after 2 hours of form filling. (mostly already done in UK - but the Barbados online system doesn't seem to be working, so save yourself a second circuit by filling it in again at the booths provided). No car /bus waiting to take us to the hotel. But a whole load of customers waiting (standing no seats, for the bus - so much for social distancing. So I got a cab $31 plus tip. Got to hotel nice welcome and juice. Booked in asked for my COVID test told them I already e-mailed them a copy to Reservations. Reception did not have it so had to copy mine. Asked me to sign the Hotel Covid Waiver. Guess what? I had already done this but Reservations had apparently not sent to Reception. She did find it after a look and asked me to sign it - again. I asked about my free second test due on Tuesday morning (6/10/20). The girl on Reception wrote it down and told me I would be contacted by the Hotel Doctor the day before with a time. Well it's the day of my test and still no call. I went down to Reception personally, again, to ask yesterday and was told the Doctor would call my room. Probably today .... I am supposed to be isolating and limiting personal contact yet when I call Reception they don't answer. When I booked in there was an upset American guest making the same point. I tried to call to arrange to have my breakfast delivered by room service yesterday and, guess what? They did not reply either. So I again went personally to the restaurant where I was told they are not supposed to take my order at The Azure but, as a favour, she would but it would take over an hour for breakfast to arrive. It did arrive 1.5 hours later. Remember we can't get food from the General Store as yet so if you arrive with children what are you supposed to do? Anyway, yesterday I booked online, as I was told to at Reception, for breakfast today using the web address provided. Guess what? You can book a table but not a takeaway. So I tried to amend my booking but the email address does not accept replies. I emailed Reservations regarding the problems I am having. Guess what? - No reply. I had a 'polite reminder' about my table booking this morning so I replied asking my breakfast to be delivered as required by the hotel and Barbados rules. Still waiting to see what happens. This has been, and is, super stressful and the hotel is a time share American operation not a hotel managed to the standard I would expect given it's cost. the focus seems on selling time-share and minimising running costs. looks good but nothing underpinning that vis-a-vis service. In fact any form of senior management seems mysteriously absent.
