You dont get what you pay for(well we didn't) we got to the resort a day late at 10:30am because of our flight and we still had to wait untell 3pm to check in because they said my room wasn't ready.we were on the top floor preferred ocean view R914 and we had no hot water. Next day same thing, they same thing they upgraded us to a PKing ocean view,a100× better! Both rooms we clean, nice& comfortable. FOOD because this resort is a must pay all inclusive you dont have a choice you have to pay buy unfortunately you dont get what you pay for, the room service food is horrible! I'm talking gasstation food! The barefoot grill is also horrible, the buffet is a hot or miss the other restaurant are open from 6-11 and theres a dress code for men. The portions are a JOKE! no joke! And if you dont get there at 6 you're at risk of waiting 30 to an hour for a table.Just to leave hungry. And forget about eating fruit! Apples and grapes is all you get, no pineapple mango or papaya. But hay at least they have a beautiful beach. I didn't feel like the staff was as friendly as in there places, the spa is very nice however definitely get a massage the therapist is very good! All in all definitely not worth the $1,300 for the all inclusive and whatever they charged me for the room with no hot water... So you decided hopefully this review helps

Overall staff was fantastic! Rodger and Adrianna with UVC was awesome and very accommodating. Marco the waiter at Capers, the Italian restaurant, was super friendly and very hard working. The resort needs some work. Recently purchased, many of the rooms need to be updated. If booking, request 9th floor if possible. Bathrooms around the resort rarely had hand towels available to dry your hands. The bathrooms in the pool area needed more attention throughout the day. Lunch limited to sushi bar, pool area, or buffet. Buffet selection for lunch was ok. The buffet area could use an update too. If you have stayed at Now Jade or Sapphire, you will be a little disappointed at the level of condition at this resort compared to those.

Omg I can tolerate mediocre things but this music by the pool just ruins the whole vibe!!! Turn it off so we can play our own music or play some Latin stuff. (No country and 80s karaoke music to get lit please)

Great Position but needs a lot of Work!

Well I will start off by saying the comments that I am making did not spoil our holiday but the Hotel was not as advertised from the initial booking. Firstly I would like to say that the Hotel staff from the minute we arrived to when we left were absolutely fantastic! They all need a mention but there are such a lot. To mention a few Abraham - Privileged Beach and Bar area, Christian- Entertainment, Johnathan and there was another young guy and the Lady that greets you fabulous in the French restaurant, Marco in the Italian, Angel - there are just so many I could go on forever! The restaurants were good although - the French /Italian / Asian were the best for food. The Mexican was ok but not the best surprisingly. The Asian restaurant looked a bit sparse and was very dark and I felt needed a bit more atmosphere better decor furniture and definitely better lighting, everyone was getting out their phones to read the menu because it was so dark! Even the waiter was struggling to write things on his pad. Also one of the restaurants which we were led to believe was still available was in the adult pool area and would have been really nice but it ways empty and had no roof on it or partly tied on with rope and when it rained was full of water! The cafe was a really nice touch and the Privilege Bar area, there was also another bar on the other side of the reception a area. The reception area was very dark at night and again needed better lighting. The Hotel itself is in great need of a complete refurbishment it is very 70’s - there has been no refurbishment anywhere as far as we could see. There is some general maintenance happening - painting and a few repairs here and there. The rooms are very large - we had a junior suite with a plunge pool. The rooms were clean but again in need of some major refurbishment. When we arrived in our room it smelt very damp but this did clear as we had our doors open. You could see though that the wooden decking around the pool was very warped and some was a bit rotten. Also outside our room there was an ice machine but this was not working, also when speaking to other people none seemed to be working around the hotel. There are also some Health and Safety issues around the Hotel, as we noticed that there were heavy glass doors that opened out onto concrete steps - this was very dangerous when trying to open from the steps as the doors are very heavy. It is a shame they did not do some refurbished so people could see what they were getting maybe in the future of how it would be finished and look! Then do a soft launch! We were also asked to go to another hotel to learn about the brand as it had changed brand - this turned out to be a selling exercise for Unlimited Travel a membership. We actually know that some people we’re hassled to go as they did not agree to go they were constantly asked again - not really what you expect in a hotel. Despite all this we enjoyed our holiday and the staff were all brilliant and we met some great people. We did book this deal as a Rebranded, Refurbished hotel - yes is was rebranded and part of AM Resorts but no refurbishment had happened!

Now Emerald a work in progress

Several areas still under construction/renovation. Service is top notch except at the lobby bar moments. Special mention to Elias at the Scores bar, Maria at the pool, Eddie at the Spices restaurant. UVC Personnel is always chasing you to offer something and this is really annoying.
