No Discrimination this time!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Attended May 2019. It was my 2nd times staying at the Melia Jardines. My 1st time (2016) was horrible that I was racial discriminated by 2 lobby bartenders and the Roly bartender insulted my mother. The manager disrespect me as the guest and claimed they were the best bartenders. When I came to your hotel this time that I was prepared. Words without video evidence is useless that I had hidden cameras ready for action. I was very surprised not 1 person gave me problems and I didn’t see Roly and the other bartender. Everyone gave me respect and good service from the lobby, reception, buffet, beach and housekeeping. I usually don’t bring hidden cameras unless there’s problems from the past. This time I rate your resort 5 stars. Keep up the good work and I will come back.
Better than expected!

Here we are now deep into the covid pandemic and I just wanna relive probably our only vacation this 2020. We we're at Melia JdR March 11-18. I've read alot of discouraging reviews prior to going so we we're kind of wary. However, our 1 week experience was better than expected. Upside: beautiful beach, awesome pools, snack bar was good for breakfast and afternoon snack. Cuban food as expected. Buffet is a buffet, keeps you full and satiated if you're not too picky (bring your own condiments). Staff we're the best part of the trip (please tip). The room we had was as expected, small but got cleaned everyday with fresh bottled water and 2 beers. Building 25 was close to the parties so not for the light sleeper. But close to the pool, snack bar and buffet. The only issue we had was mosquitoes as we were on the 1st floor. We will come back with more family members if given a chance once the pandemic is over if it ever gets over. It can accommodate a lot of people as it is a very large resort. The Alacarte was ok, but I think the chefs weren't tasting there food those 2 nights as our soups were too salty. Cheers everyone to great memories!!!

We had a great time.. even though the weather was not in our favor.. mar 7-14. The buffet had no variety.. same food every lunch and dinner. We didnt go to any of the a la cart. The staff at the buffet was amazing, always making sure we were doing well.. Yudith and her team Anabel and a few others where always ready to clear our table and make sure everything was done with a great smile.. the pool was nice. The beach was far from our building 21. However the main problem is the property is too big for the facilities it has.. everything is spread out. We didnt get to see everything. However great people.
Very good service in the buffet restaurant

From the first day until we leave, I appreciate a lot the team of Darian Baado, Mailen Medero, Yoendry Macifado and Lorents. They were really smilley, professionnals, asking if we needed something. We never need to ask for the wine or something else because they demonstrate initiatives. My family and I were impress. They put tables and chairs for all the group, they gave us water. Thanks for your good work. For the italian and chinese restaurant it was not the same. The best was in buffet restaurant.
Not the best.

We recently spent 3 nights here while on a Trip A Deal tour, while the place looks great we had a few issues. Our toilet didn’t flush which meant we had to fill a bucket with water and manually flush, this was a common issue amongst our tour group. One day we didn’t get fresh towels and despite calling & going to customer services office they still weren’t sent. We had no remote for the TV and reported that a few times but didn’t get one, when we mentioned that to others many said they had a remote but no batteries in it. Also the water doesn’t drain from the shower so two people having a shower becomes a strategic situation. The pools were great and bar staff gave great service. Eating at the buffet needs planning, you are best to get in early and beat the rush. The beach is great, the colours in the water are so vivid and there are activities such as sailing available. Note, we had the offer to move rooms half way in our visit but as others in our tour group had similar problems we decided not to move. We feel the place requires some basic maintenance and rooms should be checked prior to putting guests in them.
