Juanco was absolutely great. It was only his second time as he is new to Palace. Victor is also fantastic at water gym. He has muscles that won't quit and a very great workout that leaves you exhausted.

Going to Cozumel Palace is like coming home.

This was the third time for my wife and I staying at Cozumel Palace. We had our honeymoon here in 2006 and each time we stay it's like being on our honeymoon all over again. We love Cozumel Palace and highly recommend staying here. The resort itself is clean, spacious, well cared for and convienently situated close enough to San Miguel to walk into town. Plus, it's right on the water. Snorkeling and swimming right off the deck is one of the main attractions for us, as well as relaxing and looking out at the ocean. While we did want to go and do a few fun things in Cozumel (like Chankanaab, the Atlantis Submarine and some shopping, we wanted the highlight of our trip to be just relaxing, reading, sipping on fun drinks by the ocean, and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean, and Cozumel Palace made it happen for us! As on previous stays, our room was wonderful. Clean, comfortable and plenty of space to move around. It's an all-inclusive, of course, so the added touch of our own personal wet-bar in our room is fun. All the rooms have a view of the beautiful, clear water so we made good use of our balcony. We started each day with a cup of coffee on the balcony, looking at the many boats and ships going back and forth, and we ended most of our days with a drink on the balcony, staring at the magnificent sunsets and glittering stars. We used room service a couple of times and everything was accurate and delivered in a timely manner. We never really saw our maid or others who came to clean and prepare our room, but we were impressed by how clean and neat the room was whenever we returned. The added touch of little chocolates and the turn-down service were very nice. And, of course, sharing a bottle of wine in our whirlpool was a romantic experience. As great as the resort is, though, it's really the staff that make the difference. Everyone is so helpful and genuinely friendly. Seeing the same smiling people day after day for over a week, we felt they really cared about our experience and made efforts to get to know us. It's easy to tell that the staff at Cozumel Palace really enjoy their jobs. Graedy (not sure I spelled her name right) and Emmanuel, in particular, really made our vacation experience special. We enjoyed getting to know them a little bit while we were there and look forward to seeing them again sometime soon. Thanks Graedy for the jalapeños! Being a diver, I thoroughly enjoyed a morning of diving with Aqua Safari. The boat trip and two tank drift dive was amazing and very reasonably priced with the resort credits. As a fairly inexpereinced diver, I appreciated that they took time to make sure I was doing ok without making me feel inadequate. Miguel was very helpful and knowledgeable and Luis, the photographer from Aquarella images, took the most amazing underwater photos of the dive. The evening outdoor entertainment was varied and interesting. At first, we weren't going to take much advantage of it but we were thoroughly entertained by the Tequila Shot Band, The Tenors, and the Latin dancing. My wife and I enjoyed massages at the Awe Spa and we took advantage of the Chef's Dinner and the Romantic Dinner, both of which were delicious, memorable experiences. Some of the previous reviews by people mentioned some negative things like the pool-side entertainment being too loud or the food not being exactly what they wanted or the selling for their sister-resorts. While it may be true that not everything is going to appeal to everyone, Cozumel Palace really makes a genuine effort to give their guests an enjoyable vacation experience. As far as we are concerned, any minor inconvenience just pales into insignificance in comparison. We spent a little over a week in paradise, enjoying the beautiful island of Cozumel and it's interesting people and history, relaxing by the ocean, exploring the wonders of the undersea world, being waited on and pampered and served by hard-working, friendly folks... Thank you Cozumel Palace. We had a great vacation!

This was my second visit to Cozumel Palace - and I can't wait to plan another trip there. The entire staff is simply amazing. Rozio and Juan served us poolside all week...remembered our names and our drinks, they were exceedingly friendly and just bent over backwards for anything we needed. The entertainment crew was awesome...I think I remember their names - Victor and Carlos maybe?...anyway - they provide fun around the pool all day; they're just genuinely nice people that have fun at their jobs. Food was amazing all week - Maria makes the BEST Huevos Rancheros I've ever had, and she cooks to order at breakfast - she's sweet and accommodating. I can't say enough about every single staff member....our room was always clean, turndown service and more...they even set up a romantic surprise for me - and had the jacuzzi ready with the room sprinkled with rose peddles. Oh - Martha at the restaurant - she remembered our first/last names and always gave us a hug as we entered. Just sweet people all the way around! CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK! The property is gorgeous too...great swimming/snorkeling too!

My husband and I spent the last three nights of our one week trip to Mexico at Cozumel Palace. Our trip to Cozumel began with a relaxing 35 minute ferry ride to the island from Playa del Carmen. When we arrived at the resort, we were greeted by super friendly staff who (after trying desperately and failing to get us to go back to the main land for a timeshare pitch at their sister resort PlayaCar) offered refreshments and helped us settle in. We stayed in a concierge level room with a panoramic ocean front views. The All-inclusive package we purchased included premium drinks and food at all restaurants on site as well as room service. The room had a large two person hot tub with jets and we enjoyed watching the cruise ships sail in from all around the world. Room service was efficient but the food was mediocre. We used resort credits to book spa treatments (covered $100 of a $245 80 min massage) and a romantic seaside dinner (over valued at $378) and the food quality was slightly better. There was snorkeling available onsite right in front of the hotel and gear was available for free. It was not the best snorkeling as the reef that once grew rampant was all but destroyed by a tropical hurricane some years ago. It was still nice though. Overall we give Cozumel Palace 5 stars!!! It was a comfortable stay with all the amenities you could want on vacation. Pros: -Service -Accommodations -View -Snorkeling / scuba diving Cons: -Corny entertainment at night -Mediocre food -Sales pitch for timeshare heavily pushed upon arrival

We enjoyed the chef's dinner last night . There is a new Chef at the resort this year. Chef David do a amazing job of demonstrating how he prepared all 5 courses of the special meal. Everything was a typical Mexican style food. Every bite was delicious and nothing that our group had ever been served before s hand made tuna tortilla, a soup with avocado and pobano chilie. Then a shrimp dish prepared in coconut milk and served in a fresh coconut. These courses were completely demonstrated in front of our eyes. ( I plan to shamelessly beg for the recipes. The entre was lamb chops marinated with spices for 24 hours the cooked for untold number of hours wrapped in banana leaves. Desert was a local Mayan, fruit mamee prepared as a tort a sauce and as ice cream. Joel Sanchez planned an served 4 wines that paired beautifully with the meal David the chef has an excellent command of English and was able to educate the 20 of us in the origins and techniques of his cooking Victor from the entertainment staff assisted with the presentation, in a helpful manner. I can recommend this new show to all the Palace guests, and thank Lilia the food and beverage manager for telling about the type of show.
