Man alive, what an awesome 5 days we had here. I was traveling with my two kids, 10 and 11, and I was very happy with our stay. It started off bumpy... my check in representative was a complete snot. I’m not sure if it was our disheveled appearance (we were on a two week road trip around Florida, this was a 4 day mid stop- we were coming in from Orlando and stopped a few times to play, so we were... uh... travel worn. Lol), or the presence of my (well behaved) kids, but she just wasn’t having it. It’s fine. I just feel like she could use a class in friendliness. ?? The only other downside was that my mobile key never worked (which rendered me stranded once ?????) and Mrs. Snottypants said she’d look into it, but I’m doubtful she actually did. I’m pretty sure she just worked 24/7 the entire 5 days I was there. Lol The concierge desk was FABULOUS. They helped me with all the things I needed, from renting my chiki hut for the week, to activities with my kids. There was a lady with super long blonde hair and a gentleman that were amazing. They even gave my kids shelling bags, which was a nice, unexpected surprise. :-) The valet guys were AWESOME. They helped me with my groceries when I came back from the store, gave me helpful tips, and even gave us advice on things to do as we continued our road trip through Florida. They had awesome senses of humor. My kids LOVED 10k alley and I loved having a place I could send them and have a little peace and quiet. ?? The food and service in the restaurant portion was absolutely subpar, but the arcade attendants and the manager was super awesome. We had a ton of fun as a family mini golfing and killing zombies. Lucy in the restaurant downstairs might be my favorite person. Thanks, Lucy, for making my kids feel like they were total rockstars. And thank you for complementing me on what awesome kids they are. There is not much a mom wants to hear more than that. ?? To the dudes on the beach that helped my poor little man after he was accosted by a jellyfish, you rock, too. I’m a loyal Marriott Elite patron, and I’ve stayed at many properties all over the world. This is one of my favorites. We will definitely be back.

With this being a JW I had very high expectations for this trip. Let me tell you, don’t waste your money! I had booked a gulf/pool view room which cost extra. When we got up to our room we discovered the view was of some construction they were doing and of the condo next door. We talked to the front desk and they refunded us back some of our money since we didn’t get the view we reserved/paid for. The next morning I woke up and had bites all over my lower legs and feet. I didn’t think anything of it because no one else in my family had them. We stayed a total of 4 nights and everyday I kept getting more bites. Again I was the only one who had them so I just assumed it was mosquitos. The day we got home my husband woke up and had bites all over his body. After doing some research we found that it’s not uncommon for bed bug bites to have a delayed reaction in some people. It is also common for the bed bugs to only bite 1 person in the bed and not the other which would explain why I developed the bites first. We had to get our home sprayed for bed bugs because I wanted to make sure we didn’t bring any home. In addition to this, we stayed over the Fourth of July. It was very busy especially the pool area. You had to get down there so early to get chairs and so many people would go down there and put towels on the chairs to reserve them when they weren’t even at the pool. I have 2 young children and it was almost impossible to get through the pool with them. Both pools had multiple people throwing balls back and forth and they would get annoyed when I would try and swim in between them with my kids. A lot of the workers also had attitudes. I will say all of the waiters/waitresses were very polite to us. The worst was the people who made the pancakes/omelettes at the breakfast buffet. They had separate lines for omelette and pancakes and it was hard to tell the difference if it was your first time there. If you went to the omelette line and asked for a pancake they would get so much attitude. I would also go up and order pancakes for myself and 2 children and they would get annoyed if you asked for more than 2 pancakes at a time. To make matters worse a couple days after we got home Marriott charged our credit card 2 times for our stay. They over charged our debit card thousands of dollars and when my husband was getting it taken care of the hotel employee made it seem like it was something that happened quite often so make sure to double check all of your charges. The only positives of this trip was the food. We ate at the dinner and breakfast buffet, the pizza place, and the pool side food service. It was all delicious. We also did a private fishing/shelling tour with Six Chuter Charters that was the highlight off the trip. Marriott also put on a good firework display. Needless to say I do not recommend and we will not be coming back.

So. Much. Fun! Kids could run around playing all the games while the adults sat at the bar. Severs are so friendly and knowledgeable. Remembered us after only meeting once. Totally family friendly. Not so loud you couldn’t hear people talking.

We booked the Paradise by Sirene experience after cancelling our DR trip last minute. ZERO regrets with this choice! It's a gorgeous hotel, tons of attention to detail, lots of food options and incredible spa (I'll review food and spa separately). From our check-in with Brooke which included champagne to our check-out, the six days there were quite heavenly. On our first day we were met with lots of younger adults doing shots at the bar (Sunday) but seems like the crowd turned over from Monday on. If you want to have less kid noise around I would highly recommend the Sirene experience (adults only floors, pool, restaurant and beach area). We will definitely be back! Thanks for making our week wonderful!

The JW has been recently renovated and is beautiful . The pools are large and have spas and slides . It is a very large property so there are lots of people . The hotel charges a resort fee for chairs , towels, Wi-fi , ect . The property has unmotorized aquatic toys and other water sports to rent . There are a number of restaurants throughout the property with a variety of menus and prices . The rooms are large with wonderful bathrooms . For the price I was surprised there was no turn down service . The housekeeping was also sub par for this property. My room was not neatly cleaned and the floor hallways were not clean . The smoke alarm’s battery went off in the night but the engineering team responded within 10 minutes . Overall it was a great property that needed more attention .
