Great location, hugely noisy at night from adjacent hotel laundry

Lovely light lounge and kitchen, with great views to the park and beach from the large windows and lanai. The washer and dryer are very handy, just across the road from shops and restaurants. You can almost touch the hotel opposite from the corridor, and hear every noise that comes from it. At night their basement laundry comes to life and you can hear every loud crash and scrape that comes from there. We fall asleep and are often jolted awake so it's not a very restful place. We're on the 2nd floor, maybe noise isn't an issue on higher floors ?

We stayed there for 9 nights and 10 days. We had rooms 210 and 212. Rooms are out dated. Walls and couches in both rooms are dirty. The beds are so uncomfortable, every time we turned over it made a loud squeaky sound. We were told that in one room we would have a queen bed and the other room a king bed. We’ll both rooms were queen size old cheap beds. The trash cans are really small doesn’t hold much trash. You have to ask for clean towels, more toilet paper and paper towels daily as they will not give it to you if you don’t ask. Ac leaks. There are roaches in the rooms and we also saw some around the elevator area. We were so disgusted. Called down to complain and talked to the manager he claimed led that no one ever complained about the roaches before. That is obviously a lie. There are 2 elevators and one is always not working. They allow people to check in really late at night 12,1,2,3,4,5am or when ever you arrive at what ever hour. I mean it’s a plus for those who are checking in super late but for those who are already there asleep it sucks. The people checking in would roll their luggage or cart and make so much noise waking up the whole floor or multiple floors. The first night this happen I got woken up and thought someone was running down the hall with a stick hitting the rails. That’s how loud it is. The washer is room 210 made so much noise. It sounded like it was going to explode every time it’s on spin even tho I made sure the clothes are all balanced. Washer and dryer broke in room 212. Only Luke warm water in room 210 there were a few times where we didn’t have hot water at all. When we called down to inform them they said they are having water problem. They didn’t know how to fix it. They sent their maintenance guy up and he told us if there’s no hot water there is nothing he can do. The place is called castle Waikiki resort. Just the name itself makes it sound so high class, nice, fancy and upscale. Well let me tell you it’s not. It’s the complete opposite. For the amount we paid we could’ve rented an Airbnb. Not worth the price and definitely not worth you risking bringing roaches home.

Booked at this condo to save money, knowing that I wasn't staying at a 5 Star location. It ended up being way better than I expected. The bathroom and living area were perfect size for two people. Washer and dryer in unit meant that I didn't go home with a suitcase full of dirty laundry. My room had a full beach view, even from the bed. Not to mention the trip was during a full moon, which lit up the entire room. So beautiful!!! Located walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars and directly on the beach. Not a 5 star, but I have no complaints :) I would definitely stay here again.

decent condos in a busy area of Waikiki.this detail concerns unit 905 price for area was reasonable.BUT-add $35 per day for parking AND $140 cleaning fee for 8 nights!! only.small studio with awesome ocean & sunset views.nicely equipped kitchen area with full frig & stove/oven.a few more dishes would be nice.no couch or easy chairs.only seating indoors besides bed was two uncomfortable chairs at the small dining table.it does have small table and chairs on the balcony which is nice touch in the morning & evening.really great view of the sunset &a great view of the friday night fireworks at the Hilton(much nicer than fighting the crowds down at the beach!) unit has a small, not that sturdy key lock safe which is a nice touch but another key to keep track of.during our stay we had numerous difficulties with the electronic front door keys.it took many tries to get it to work & had to change out keys once.office was not that concerned but changed keys without issue.our biggest issue was the over-mushy mattress on the bed.since these are individually owned vacation rentals the office can only do so much about this and was kind enough to deliver a foam pad to place on top of the mattress to try and help the situation.which it did somewhat but for me it still caused significant sore back upon waking each morning. beach out front very rocky but better spots close on either side.nice path out front for walking/running.building features a couple of eateries & a small store beachside. neighborhood quite busy with hotels, shops, food options($$$$).Starbucks next door + small well stocked market. you could do worse but be prepared.

Loved our 3 nights at Waikiki Shore appartments. Great location overlooking the park with ocean views. Beach out the front a bit quieter. Enjoyed breakfasts on our balcony in the morning and and evening drink watching the sunset. Apartment clean and well presented. Staff helpful.
