This resort is small for an all-inclusive but the grounds are beautiful. There are minimal guests under the age of 45, so if you're looking for a party this is not it. The staff was very helpful, kind & overall what made our stay. There is only one buffet & the menu varies daily which is nice, with some vegetarian/vegan options. The snack bar at the restaurant has the same menu daily & it would be nice to have more options or different options throughout the week. There is no swimming in the ocean but the beach and lounge chairs are well kept and very nice. It would be helpful if there would be allergen labels on the food at the buffet. It's rather peaceful and calm at the resort and not a lot of guests. Lastly, it was a 30 minute drive from cabo san lucas so we commuted daily by bus or uber, but it's only 15 minutes from the airport.

The Best Way to get to Royal DeCameron Los Cabos from SJD Cabo Airport (Cape Transfers offers too many options!)

Staying at Royal decameron was 10 stars out of 10! we needed transportation and we used Cape Transfers Private Suburbans (2 of them), but they had also super economy shuttle!, Royal Decameron & Cape Transfers to get there are the perfect match!

Wish I could give 4.5 stars

Like a couple others have commented, I wish I could do 4.5 stars. The Royal Decameron was exactly what we were looking for in a quick sunshine getaway, with just a couple small negatives. First off, the good. The staff was all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. From check in, to our hours spent at the adult pool, to the sad moment when we had to checkout, everyone was wonderful. The resort itself was smaller than most which was a positive for us. The grounds were beautifully maintained and all rooms looked to middle of the resort (not at the neighboring hotels). We were in room 344 and loved the view. We could even see a bit of the ocean which I wasn’t expecting. The small balcony was perfect for morning coffee time. The room itself was adequate and clean. The mini bar had two waters, two corona light cans, and a couple sodas. Not a big deal for us, but if you drink a lot of water, one water is barely sufficient for morning coffee. Just something to consider. We spent most of our lounging time at the second story adult pool. We never had a hard time getting loungers and the service at the bar was always friendly (and the drinks were good). Angel especially did a great job taking care of everyone in the afternoon. The views of the beach were incredible and we enjoyed watching the whales spout and the rays jumping every day of our visit. The ok/bad parts. The food was ok. We don’t typically expect great food at an all inclusive anyway but breakfast was the best meal and the other meals were ok. They had made to order omelettes which were popular and the bacon was really good. There weren’t many Mexican options if that’s what you were craving. We ended up going across the street to Mariscos El Botete (next to la comer) for the Baja style seafood tacos one afternoon and that was perfect for us. Highly recommend making the 5 minute walk. The bad...it’s hard to fault the resort for stuff that is doesn’t have control over, but the neighboring resort does its trash compaction at all hours (including 1am). It was pretty loud in our room and I could only imagine what the lower floors heard. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back for a little sun and relaxation time.

Good value, great staff. Good food.

The resort shows its age, but is well maintained. Rooms were nice house keeping was good. Had a problem with the room safe, but the staff changed it out right away. The resturant buffet had lots of variety, was fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and aways helpful. Enjoyed the pool and pool bars, the beach is right there. Right in the middle of holel row, shopping was close by as well has bars and night clubs.

    Obnoxiously loud!

The staff are great, the food reasonable, the rooms are clean and nicely appointed. The grounds are expertly kept and the beach is amazing, but there is a show every night that literally shakes the glass in your room because it’s so loud and the resort is directly below the primary landing path for all the incoming planes. For me, this is not the place to go for relaxation or peace and quiet. If you want to read, relax and rejuvenate I’d suggest somewhere else. If you want constant unwavering music, commentary from the entertainment staff, and loud planes - it’s a great little resort.
