We had the elite all-inclusive but could have done most of the same with just the regular AI. There were a lot of restaurants closed. I do have to give kudos to the ladies in the Elite Club so in the end the Elite AI was ok. There was only one pool heated. During the summer this would be fine but it is only 73 degrees and windy during the winter. They have great pools but they are way to cold. Even the kids would not use. El Cid does very well with the on-site Co-Vid tests. At the time we needed those to get back to the US. Many reviews say to stay at El Moro with kids. I had two teenagers with me so with older kids you may want to try the Marina. This is especially true if you want more English speaking staff. I do give the Marina El Cid 5 stars. Great restaurants and pool. My 14 year old broke his hand at the pool. From the wait staff, to the life guard, to the resort doctor they were all amazing. They took my kid from the pool area in a golf cart to the doctors office. The doctor took him and his mom to the hospital in his own car. They were back at the pool in a little over an hour. We will go back to the El Cid Marina. Very fun to be on the marina and then walk out to the point to see the Sea of Cortez or take the water taxi to the other side of the marina.

We were spoiled by the staff at El Moro. We felt very safe from Covid there and the staff were on their toes to accommodate everything we wanted . The beach is wonderful to walk and we always had a place to relax if we chose to.
Older but okay

If you don't mind an older resort, then El Cid El Moro is for you. The staff is very friendly but sheets are threadbare, towels are raveling and the rooms have a rundown feel to them. The higher up you go, the longer it takes you to get hot water. However, everywhere else things are nice. All of the restaurants and food are fine with the exception of La Pergola. It is like a cafeteria. The menu at the pool is really good. the golf course is nice and the caddies are great. The beach is nice as are the pools. Covid precautions were in place and I feel, affective.

El Cid Resorts are beautiful and have staff who are extremely helpful and make you feel at home. I would recommend El Cid Resorts to anyone traveling to Mexico. I travel to Mazatlan several times a year on vacation and love it there.

We decided to spend Christmas at El Cid Moro Beach, and couldn't have chosen a better place! The food, rooms, view and service were incredible! Special thanks to our favorite cantineros Genaro, Felix, and Martin; they provided excellent service and suggestions for things to do. We will definitely go back!
