I hope you have your popcorn ready because this is going to be a long one. This was our second time coming to Couples Negril and I think we had an even better time than last year. Okay, so here's everything great about this resort.... Staff: I've read that sometimes the staff can be a little standoff-ish and last year I would've agreed, however this year, we had amazing experiences with the staff. Nikidia at Lychee was sweet, Doreen and Millicent at the spa - wow, these ladies give the best massages. Veronica and Tafaria at the veggie bar/cassava terrace/heliconia - we really got to know these ladies and they were so positive and uplifting. We visited them daily and I will miss them. Nicole was our server for our private dinner and we loved her! She brought her own Ipod loaded with music and played music for our dinner and we loved this!!!! Felecia in Cassava Terrace was great also! Entertainment ladies were sweethearts - Tavoya, Sashell, Iesha, Rochelle and last, but not least, Jodie and Denton in the gift shop, they really helped me out when I got sunburnt and they were out of aloe and they were able to get me some! Thank you!!!!! Beach: We've traveled all over the Caribbean and we love Bloody Bay. It's so calm and the water is crystal clear. We walked along the beach and saw other resorts and I'm so glad we chose Couples. You don't have to go out early to claim your chairs because there are plenty. The vendors will come by every day, but a simple no thank you and they pretty much leave you alone. Food: We've never had any issues with the food. We love all the restaurants, but Lychee and Otaheite were probably our favorties for dinner. Other random stuff: we went to the Office of Nature for lobster and wow. I don't even like lobster, but my husband does and I took a bite and it was delicious. We also went parasailing and that was a memorable experience. I'm so glad we did it!! We didn't do the private boat ride this year, but we did it last year and it was totally worth it!!! The watersports that are included at Couples are well worth it!!! The red flag service on the beach was hit or miss this year. For the first half of the week, they never handed out the flags, but the latter part of the week, we got them and the service was great! Okay, for the not so great (there's only a couple things we had issues with) Room: We had a deluxe garden, which is what we also had last year. The room itself was fine. Housekeeping was a little hit or miss as far as timing. Sometimes we'd go back to the room after lunch for a quick nap and the room was already cleaned and other times, they wouldn't come until after 3. This year we were in block 3 and it was loud. We could hear road traffic and the constant honking of horns and it got a little annoying at times. Last year we were in block 1. We didn't realize that we had been upgraded so we got spoiled with that room. When we were checking out, our bill seemed a little high so we asked for an itemized receipt and it was pretty vague. We tried discussing the charges with the front desk and what she was saying didn't make sense. When we booked our trip, we got $250 resort credit plus another $100 credit for our Romance Rewards. We confirmed this with Nayeka that we had $350 resort credit because we asked her what we could use the credit toward and the front desk tried to say $250 of that credit went toward our room. We saved all of our receipts and we were overcharged $100! Overall, this was an awesome trip. Jamaica has become one of my favorite places.

This was our second time at this resort in 5 years and it did not disappoint. The resort is smaller and makes for a more personal experience. Always felt safe. All couples which is nice as well. I will say the resort is a bit dated but they are currently updating some areas. This did not affect our stay. The rooms were cleaned very efficiently. Beds were very comfortable. Weather was perfect. The beaches are so beautiful and the water is amazing. We never had a problem finding a lounge chair on the beach in the morning and I like the fact there was plenty of natural shade as the sun can be very intense. Red flag service on the beach. Wow We were given cold cloths and cold drinks throughout the day without leaving our beach chairs! The resort has a variety of water sports available which are all Included free of charge! Snorkling was fantastic. The best part of the vacation has to be the staff. They are so outgoing and friendly. We got to know a lot of staff personally. Entertainment staff were so fun and did a great job in getting everyone involved. The piano bar was one of our nighttime spots. Our favourite drinks were waiting at the bar once they saw us walk in. I also know there has to been some amazing staff who work hard behind the scenes to make this resort run so smoothly. We will definitely be back!

We went for our honeymoon and it was awesome. Neither of us had been to the Caribbean before so we weren’t sure what to expect. Well, the water was is the first thing you notice bc it’s turquoise just like the movies. The people were the best part because they were all so nice. We enjoyed absolutely “everyting” about Jamaica and Couples Negril iced the cake. The resort was extremely well-kemp, the food was out of sight and the staff was phenomenal. Truly a lifetime experience.

Just got back from 5 glorious nights at Couples Negril. They offer loads of activities to keep you busy or you can spent a whole lot of time doing nothing and be just as happy. We went on the evening sunset catamaran cruise twice, which was wonderful both times. Different people meant a different vibe. We went snorkeling and sailing on little catamarans. All of these activities were complimentary with you stay at the resort. We had several great dinners in the restaurants there and I cannot speak highly enough of all the wait staff. ALWAYS awesome. Make sure to get the beach view rooms as the sunsets will make it worth the cost.

From start to finish, the staff at Couples Negril make you feel like family. The resort is quiet and beautiful, the activities are fun and engaging, and the relaxation is second to none. Make sure you are ready for a great time. Scuba with Richardo is amazing, Charles the bar tender will exceed your expectations. Only issue I had was that I was so relaxed I didn't notice my cell phone fell out of my pocket in the shuttle, and when I realized it as I walked in the airport, the shuttle drove away. I've called the resort a ton of times and haven't been able to get anywhere. Advice- don't be an idiot like me and leave your cell phone, or you won't get to bring home all of your perfect pictures.
