Our stay at the Hyatt House unfortunately very disappointing. Our flight from Hawaii didn’t arrive at LAX until midnight. After getting the car rental, we didn’t arrive until 2 am. Everything at check in seemed to be fine. We arrived to our room, I had messaged someone on a Facebook Messanger app asking if we could have the pullout bed ready and made since we were arriving so late and kids would be asleep. It was confirmed that Zarhr, the front desk agent, said the sofa bed would be made up before we arrived. Well, we arrived tired and kids asleep to our hotel room and then I had to make the sofa bed because it was not previously set up for us like they said it would be. Fine, kind of annoying, but I made the bed for the kids to sleep in. Then at 7 am, only 5 hours later, we hear these loud thuds from the room above us. It was SO loud. It seriously sounded like a bowling alley was above us. My kids said it sounded like the circus was above us. I called the front desk, very groggily since I wasn’t able to sleep until 330. She let me know that they couldn’t say anything to them, because quiet hours were up. I get you can’t tell people to be quiet if they are acting normal in there room, but whoever was up there, doing whatever they were doing, was very excessive. The front desk pretty much said, sorry but can’t do anything. Then I said, well I might need another room because we really need to sleep. She then said, “uummmm wellllll, if you switched your rooms then you would have to take all of your stuff out of your room….” REALLY? No kidding, I’m fully aware that switching rooms requires me to take my stuff out. I had only been there four hours so it wouldn’t have been that hard. She then said all of the systems were down and they couldn’t move our rooms. My kids tried to go back to sleep, but couldn’t for another two hours till the upstairs people left their rooms. It was extremely frustrating. The next problem came when every night we walked back from Disneyland we were extremely thirsty. The complimentary water jugs at the front desk were never filled. So we would drink the water from the faucet in our hotel room. We live in Hawaii and Georgia and faucet water is completely acceptable. It would be late, around midnight when we returned, so we would just drink a glass really fast from the faucet and then go to sleep, not thinking about it. The last morning, my mother filled a glass of water from the sink and to our astonishment it was super cloudy!. We called the front desk and asked them why the water was cloudy, she responded in a very condescending voice, “Yea, umm we don’t recommend that you drink the water from the faucet”. My mother responded that she didn’t know that, no one told us, there was no sign. The front desk lady then responded, “By California Law we are not required to put out signs nor do we have to tell you to not drink it. However, we don’t recommend it.” WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. Are you kidding me? What did we just drink? We have no clue what is in our bodies from this contaminated water. How are we supposed to know? We are from out of town, it’s a hotel, and we do not know what is going on with Califronia water. You offer no water bottles and your complimentary jug of water at reception is only ever filled with ice, not water. We took a sample of the water and my mother is getting it tested at the Board of Health in Georgia. We were just blown away at how ignorant the whole thing played out. Frustrated from that conversation, we just called the hotel front desk to check out. On our drive to the airport my mother got an email from the hotel and noticed that the Hyatt House in Anaheim had just charged her a second time for the full price of the hotel. Before we arrived, the hotel room was paid in full. Whoever decided to charge her again didn’t even check to see if it was already paid for! When we called they acted super confused, and were frankly put out that we were calling to make them check on this. IT WAS $1200 in extra charges, excuse me if we are inconveniencing you with these questions. After 30 minutes on the phone, they kept telling us how COMPLICATED it was FOR THEM. They never said sorry for this problem, sorry for double charging you, sorry for the trouble we cause you, not once. The poor girl we were talking to was playing the middle man with the manager and the manager never got on the phone to reassure use we would get our money back. In the end they said it would take at least 5 days to get our money back in various payments? We are still waiting for the last of the money to get deposited charged back to the card. All in all, it was a super frustrating experience. The service was terrible. It’s such a shame because the rooms are comfortable and the walk is close to Disney, however the lack of customer service was astonishing

Whether traveling alone or with a family the hotel staff were diligent and happy to answer all questions and made the stay that much more comfortable. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who is staying in Anaheim to attend activities at the Convention Hall or at the Disneyland Resort. The location is perfect for either.

Fantastic location, easy walk to Disney. Surrounded by food options, the Garden Walk just down the road has a range of family restaurants and a range of fast food places across the road. Short drive round the block to the local Vons supermarket gives you a much wider range then the Walgreen's in the building. Accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. The ability to have a fold out bed in the lounge also gave us space to spread the kids out. Kitchen was well equipped with a full sized fridge, dishwasher etc.... The pool is awesome for a dip between the day shift at Disney and the night shift (take an hours break, makes the 6pm to midnight period easier!). Parking is expensive but that's just the same everywhere in LA at anywhere decent. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Hyatt House in September for 8 nights and it was perfect. We were coming from Australia and wanted a room that gave us space and a place to unwind after busy days exploring and Disneyland. We had a family room and loved our son had his own sanctuary to recharge. This hotel was perfect in every way. The distance to Disneyland was good and it had many places around it to eat. Underneath the hotel had a Walgreens and Starbucks and Blaze Pizza. Across the street is the best Mexican ever! A subway, 7/11 and a few other restaurants. The pool area was pleasant and many hours were spent bubbling away in the hot tub. Breakfast was good and the breakfast area was well designed to service lots of families wanting to hit the park early. The staff during breakfast were so pleasant and efficient. The roads around it are busy but there are crosswalks, so it’s not a problem. LA and Anaheim have a huge population of homeless people, but it was never an issue for us. It is just very sad to see. We felt safe the whole time staying there. Thanks Hyatt House for living up to our expectations and providing an amazing experience.

Within walking distance of Disneyland, the Hyatt House at Anaheim is perfect for visiting the parks. The accommodations and service are what you'd expect from Hyatt, and the outstanding breakfast is not only very good and extremely convenient, but saves perhaps $15 per plate per person per morning that you'd spend at a nearby restaurant.
