We recently stayed for a month. The first apartment was poor, dirty carpets, beds dreadful, really tired furniture, the resort staff who were really helpful allocated us another apartment. This was acceptable for our stay, however, I still feel the apartments are a long way from how the grounds, pools and walks around the resort are maintained. The staff work very hard to keep bins emptied, pool areas clean, and grass well kept. As the apartments are all owned by private people, I feel the resort management, should be able to say we cannot let your apartment until you bring it up to an acceptable level! Some have obviously not been updated since the resort opened. I liked the resort, but without a guarantee of a better apartment for a future stay I would not return

Nice friendly resort with a sandy beach and a beautiful pool. Fairly large units with plenty of space. Livingroom couches were torn and not very comfortable. IMAX theater, grocery not too far from resort

Fun week at Bahama Bay resort.

We were lucky to have exchanged into one of the better3 bedroom units at Bahama Bay resort. There was an issue with one of ourr appliances and we were offered a chance to move to another unit. Upon inspection of two other units it was clear that they were more outdated and the furniture needed repair so we chose to stay in unit assigned. All units are owner owned so the resort staff is there for upkeep and maintenance . Resort staff were all very helpful and accomodating. Pool areas werre clean and inviting. Well maintained.grounds etc. There is even a small enclosed beach area next to a large lake. This is a large resort with many units and has sidewalk walking trails throughout the resort. Shopping and restaurants and golf etc. are nearby outside gates but you will need a car to access. Theme parks are about 30 mins drive away. Our 3 bedroom unit was roomy and comfortable. There was a screened in balcony off living room and master bedroom. Each balcony was very small with only room for 2 people. Our granddaughrer enjoyed the pool and playground areas. The Master bedroom had a comfortable new mattress but the guest bedroom had a mattress that sank in middle. Third bedroom had twin beds. All units have a Pack n Play/crib and highchair provided which is a nice touch. Furnishings and their upkeep are all owner controlled. so we were lucky to have a unit that had been somewhat updated although one appliance needed to be replaced. We were assured by front desk that our unit would be blocked from further rentals until owner replaced it. Front desk staff were courteous. and very helpful with anything we needed. We had a fun week at Bahama Bay. .

I just first want to say to anyone considering this resort who, like me, takes every review into consideration, please believe the positive over the negative. This was our first time staying at Bahama Bay. We booked for 3 weeks as we were eloping whilst in florida so it was our holiday, wedding and honeymoon all in one. And so you can imagine I was scared of what might be for somewhere we hadn't stayed before. But honestly it was a home from home. Yes it is 20-30 minute drive to the parks but i would never recommend anyone going to Orlando without a car and why is 30 mins such a big deal anyway???? Secondly we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment on the second floor, for us this was fantastic but it is true there are no lifts. Its not that there are 100s of stairs but yes i can see it would be a problem for some people. The apartment was exactly the same as one we had at a previous location years back however at a fraction of the price. So we were absolutely over the moon with it. Yes it was a little outdated but no offense, I find american furniture and taste is a little outdated. It was still a wonderful resort. An absolute highlight for me was talking a walk every morning down to the 2 lakes to see what I could see on a little nature spotting. I've seen people complain about the distance of the complex and our apartment was at the very furthest side but it was still only a 5 minute walk down to the reception or lakes - and I am by no means athletic. And the distance means our apartment was quiet. We had our own pool which was used frequently but was never loud. So although you may be a little further from the pool house you will still be close to a pool as there are multiple. The only issue we encountered was that it was Jersey Week whilst we stayed. We had 2 nights of constant music and shouting. I unfortunately had to call security a few times as it was 2am and they were not getting any quieter. After a few friendly visits they did finally turn the music off - but started again the next day. My husband then called security and they turned the music off again. So we cannot fault the resort with how well they handled that. We loved our stay so much. We have been home for 3 months now and are still talking about it on a daily basis because we would love to come back.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE !!!! Upon arriving we checked in like normal, and after unloading all of our stuff up three flights of stairs we found someone else’s stuff all over in what was supposed to be our 3 bedroom villa weekend getaway! After we closed the door took all of stuff back to the truck we were told sorry someone working a earlier shift gave our room to someone else, and we are fully booked we have no rooms available! After about 3 hours of just waiting we were told that we have your room, and we just need to clean it and within an hour you should be able to be in your room! I took the kids to get some food and upon returning I was told their stuff is still in the room the have no housekeeper, and we were only given a room for one night! We were told all this by Amanda, and to come down in the morning we had to check out by 10! I just want it to be clear we paid weeks ago in full and basically being told we have to be out because someone else is more important than us! After waiting 6 hours in the lobby and ruining our night completely! I hope everyone reading this knows there were two other people on this property that booked and they were told sorry we have nothing available for you! This isn’t how people should be treated! I understand that people make mistakes but you fix them! As a business owner I know this all too well!!!!
