    This hotel was rated 4 stars! I will give this hotel 3 stars! The hotel is old needs a lot of repair! The pictures online are from the members only side! But the regular side of the hotel is falling apart! The swim up bar is closed and will not Open anytime soon! They have 5 restaurants but only 1 is open per night! By the time you go make a reservation it’s already booked!!! Staff at the bar were nice but will NOT go back here! They also want you to pay for wifi! The coffee was so bad, I don’t understand how this hotel has bad coffee when it’s grown there! No fresh juices either!

    REALLY GOOD FOOD !! 10/10 , clean resort ,nice beach, pretty pools, friendly staff ... everything was really good here but I think they need more ENTERTAINMENT... the place has SPA vibes. Only come here if you want to relax , NOT to PARTY.. . It is not what you expect from Punta Cana vibes. They need to expand their music choices since this is an adults only resort.. they NEED more Parties , SHOWS & entertainment! Make sure you look for PIKACHU & Spaghetti. They will make you STAY worth it !

    The buildings aren't finished being built. Also, the jacuzzi tub's water is discolored and stinks. You drain these after each use. Television, wifi, in room phone didn't work so absolutely no way to use room service. I believe I should have been compensated but was not. The only redeeming quality is the accommodating staff. They are all very friendly and helpful Would visit again after everything is completed. They were not ready for operation. The picture of the event staff will make your stay rememorable and fun

    Ok but there is better value for your money elsewhere

    Resort is about 10 years out of date. Will admit it grew on me as time went on first impression would have me rate it as a 1-5. Pros the dinner was very good. Beach was nice, Pool was very pleasant. Staff was also very nice and did there best to try and organize some activities. Cons one restaurant open a night and you had to make your reservation before noon. So if you check in after that your screwed that night. Seems like a stupid system. I get they had to cut staff for covid however one option for dinner and no food options after that. The all night option listed on website is not open at all. The statement on website says some service limited not specific at all. Misleading. Also the food for breakfast and lunch was average however it was a good selection. More cons Room like i said out of date but worse yet the bed was essentially a brick. I also went snorkeling off the beach. Pulled 15 bottles and a bunch of plastic out of the water. Last and how they mess this up I dont know drinks. Idea of drinks is pour liquor in cup and put slushy on top. its called a blender or at least stir it. Your sip was either straight alcohol or flavored slushy. Bar didn't have a rum and coke or similar plus swim up bar closed the whole time? Literally the one bar you should have open. These are all easy fixes. Its just when you drop a grand on a place you expect a bit more.

    Travelling during COVID-19 don't expect the world. Alot of things were closed as a result of the pandemic which I felt could've been open and vice versa but the staff for the most part tried their best, honestly it was the staff that made the vacation, friendly and accommodating. Some things they did on the fly but they adjusted and tried to make things work so hats off for that. CONS OVERALL: (1) the beach is not good, this is not Bavaro beach, there are weeds every where on the sand and in the water and it's high tide being the last resort to the marina. My small kids didn't like being in the water with it being always wavy. The entire hotel was spotless but the beach was never cleaned in my opinion and it showed. Also this is the first hotel I have been to that did not have a waiter come to the beach, although the bar was close it was just a note (2) the room we got was very outdated, didn't have a phone or an alarm clock, Wi-Fi did not work in the room. They did not clean our room one day which I thought was a big over stop considering there were maybe 20 other guests in the whole place, but the manager got us fresh towels. (3) Wi-Fi was horrible. I was not able to conduct business, always disconnecting. (unless you were in the lobby or very close) Also no safe in the room, you have to pay to use it (4) Swim up bar closed even though the actual pool was jam packed first two days. (5) The workers on the beach trying to sell things kinda gets annoying but they are not aggressive, just lots of them, just thought by day 6 of only 10 ppl on the entire beach that they would give up trying to sell me the same monkey photo. (6) The walls are super thin, I am a heavy sleeper and I think I heard every time the late night partiers came home or when the staff was cleaning with their trolly of death (towel collector) which sounded like a emergency ambulance cart (7) Seems like there are alot of locals that come on weekends, they are friendly (8) No water activities (kayaks, floaties), they did have Ping Pong and Volleyball and tried to do Aerobics PROS OVERALL: (1) Staff. Same small staff throughout as most sleep there on the resrot and I felt like I got to know the waiters who remembered drinks, servers who were nice to kids, entertainers, very friendly. They helped, played with our kids, I felt a lot of them were thrown into some new positions but they tried their best. The Entertainers: Eddie Murphy, Candy, Mulana, and the rest who I can't recall were amazing. Legit will miss them (2) Shows, every night great shows my kids loved it and we did aswell. Then DJ and live music it was very happening, good party (3) Restaurants, some of the best meals I have eaten, due to COVID there was no late night buffet so we had to eat every night at a restaurant and the food was delicious. (4) Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Absolutely blown away by what they did on Dec 24th with cocktail hour and the food, and long live shows, some of the best food I have ever eaten and the way it was presented and I have been to a lot of places all over the world. (steaks, lobster, prsuto, sushi, etc etc. and on Xmas day Santa Clause coming to the beach via boat to deliver presents to the kids, such a nice and considerate act. (5) Bar Staff, maybe it was lack of guests but I would say average wait time to get a drink was 20 seconds. (6) Lots of shade on the beach, did not have to wake up at 5:00AM to get good shade (7) Everything is walking distance and very close! Overall I do recommend this hotel, also as a result of their barley being any guests we got to use the adults only section of the beach and pool which was awesome and the adults only buffet became the main buffet, very cool place to eat, have a coffee, a cocktail!
