The food is amazing !!! I’ve been to a lot of resorts and this tops for food. You could eat at the buffet every day it’s that good. 24 hr food service if needed and room service The service and friendliness of staff was amazing . Only downfall is no pool bar if you enjoy that , though they do pool drink service . The rooms were big and balcony was really nice and spacious . The entertainment in the evening was great . The club /disco however was not open every night only Thursday to Sunday which did not bother me . There was two nice water parks for kids. The design of the whole place was beautiful . It was very large though so be prepared to be lost for the first few days!!! There is no shortage of places to sit at this resort and all of them are very comfortable. I took my family to this resort and we met up with friends. We had an amazing time

The overall look and presentation is good. But I feel terrible to say it's a front the hotel service is honestly very lackluster you will be waiting in lines for any of your needs. You will feel as if you are a burden to staff. Please be advised you do not need to purchase adult only sections unless you want to be in the back of the hotel. Overall the hotel needs work on many areas of service.

Had a great week at the Lopesan. The hotel overall is gorgeous and staff was very friendly and helpful. First room had 2 beds even though Travel agent and myself sent message requesting 1 bed. Had to wait until next day at 5pm to change rooms and was given a room in a crappy location. Refrigerator didn't work in 1st room. Reported it and received message it was fixed but it wasn't. The second room refrigerator didn't work well at all. Very warm. Didn't bother to call again. Minor maintenance issues such as broken table on patio, missing cushions on patio chairs, broken drawers. Cleanliness was mostly good in the room. Some public bathrooms were showing a lot of wear and weren't cleaned well. The food was mostly excellent everywhere except for the steak house. Beach buffet was soso. They had good bbq burgers, Meat sticks and other things outside. The main buffet was very good for lunch and used it once for dinner. No AC or much air flow in the lobby and lobby bar. It was warm in there so never sat inside much. We enjoyed the Mexican, Italian, Tempenaki and the American. Bavaro Coffee shop had delicious Irish coffee, sports bar played good tunes and was lively, English pub was pretty laid back but comfortable. Reservations for dinner were difficult with limited timeslots available. Tried to walk in but was denied even though the place was a ghost town. Beautiful deep beach with plenty of shade/palapas. Pretty boring though with really no activities. Seaweed was cleaned daily. The water gets deep very quick. The pool though was too warm and very difficult to get a chair. People were reserving them the night before. a few activities during the day. We didn't use the pool very often. All bars had great drinks but a few were a little slow in serving. Entertainment was a bit lacking I find and the App didn't show all of the activities. The beach party Tuesday when we arrived and again on Monday night. They were not listed in the App. There was a fire show Monday as well. Would definitely return to this resort.

I researched 20+ hotels in Punta Cana and decided on this one, there reviews were amazing and it's newer (build in 2019). We were disappointed, it's a Beautiful hotel, grounds and rooms are superb. Service lacking, this rated a 4-star Diamond on AAA, overrated for sure. We went during busiest time of Spring Break... we could not get reservations for a la cart restaurants for 2 days immediately after we checked in. Hotel staff did not have authority to help us. You had to wake up before 8am to get more than 1 chair by the pool, by 10am beach chairs were also all taken. Breakfast and Dinner buffets were not great -- not gourmet, not photo-worthy. Food was just ok at buffet. A la Cart restaurants were amazing and had really great service as well. Activities around pool area were good but had limited availability, once they had paddle-board yoga in the pool, my friend and I waited in line only to be told they had spots for 7 ppl... this is a 1k+rooms resort and during the busiest time and only 7 slots for an activity?!?! Kids water park catered to 7 yrs and under, older kids found it very lame. We had an issue with our room where a drunk person fell into our door and broke it at 2am and we had to change rooms in the middle of the night... very odd and rare but the hotel handled it poorly. I expected to be comp'd a night or get an extra reservation or something... they apologized and didn't exceed our expectations.

Amazing hotel! Couldn’t fault the 2 weeks we had there in march can’t understand all the negative reviews Food was amazing, staff were all very happy and helpful Beach was beautiful Rooms were very modern and huge with great air con much needed with the heat Never eat at the buffet for dinner as booked a different restaurant every night Everyone was fantastic great food and staff were very happy to look after us This was the best holiday we have ever had And we are in our sixties The first day we had trouble getting a sunbed round the pool so decided to go to the beach everyday No troubles getting a sunbed on the beach And you get a breeze down there which is welcome in the heat The one tiny niggle is you don’t get a kettle in the room which is a must for us English who love a cup of tea Other then that everything was 10/10 Don’t hesitate to good there In fact I’m going back in January it was that good
