    Amazing! The Staff become your friends!

    It's true! The Service was so good when my boyfriend and I stayed that we actually befriended a lot of our VIP Staff. They waited on us hand & foot, and by the end of the week, we became sad to say goodbye to our friends. The staff that went above & beyond consisted mainly of our friends HEIDY, ALVIN, EDISON & JUAN! These four were the pinnacle of excellent and loyal service on our trip. At night in the main area, KILMIS was the sweetheart who remembered to refill our drinks; even when it got super crowded around new years, she never forgot about us. My only issue came when concerning the concierge. We had been told before & throughout our trip that OMAR was our VIP concierge. The entire time we were at the resort, we never even met him. I was baffled at how evasive Omar was, even when we asked for him. Regardless of Omar's absence, we had substitute concierges that took AMAZING care of us! Ask for REYNALDO or PALOMO. Both of these gentlemen stepped up and assisted us with any questions or concerns we had. All in all, it was a great vacation! Our Punta Cana friends will be missed. Thank you for the memories!

    bad experience at check-in and room

    I was at the Grand Sirenis for a week at the end of December, 2020. My first impression and contact with staff was unsatisfactory. Henry at the front desk checked me in. He did not honor my reservation request I made weeks in advance when I booked the trip. I also sent emails in advance to the resort with my room request of having a higher floor and a building and room closer to the middle of the resort, NOT at the far end. All were ignored. Henry told me I was assigned a ground floor room in a building at the end corner of the resort. Henry did not even know of my room reservation request until I insisted that he look over the reservation in his computer system. He found it, but it didn't matter. Henry had already decided that I was going to be on the ground floor, far corner building, away from everything. And that was that. So we left the reservation desk with the bellboy to our room and building that we did not want or request. When we got to the room and opened up the door, it smelled horrible! A very strong musty and moldy smell in the room. Unbearable. It was hard to breathe with the moldy musty smell. We tried telling the bellboy, but he just walked away! I immediately went back to the reservation desk and told Henry. Henry said to stop back up to the reservation desk the next morning and he would change my room. It was a horrible night with that smell. We didn't unpack because we thought we would be going to a different room the next morning. Plus we didn’t want all of our clothes to smell musty and moldy. The next morning Henry was working. I asked him about getting us another room like he promised the night before? Henry now told me to come back in the afternoon because he needed to talk to his boss and the boss wasn't going to be in until the afternoon. The day before he said he would change my room in the morning?!? So I asked Henry what time to come back to the desk? He said 2 or 3 pm. I spent a lot of money on this vacation and all I wanted was a room that didn't have a musty and moldy smell so we could move our luggage to another room, unpack it, and start to enjoy our vacation. At 3:00 pm I went back up to the reservation desk. I sensed that Henry seemed surprised or upset to see me. He looked down and over at the other gentlemen working next to him, probably expecting / hoping that I would just give up. Henry did not even acknowledge me standing there at the desk. I asked Henry again about switching rooms like he promised? Henry said he still hadn't talked to his boss yet. OMG. So I just waited at the front desk this time. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally at around 4:15 pm of me standing there, Henry said he would move us to another room. I did not see Henry talk to any boss? Finally around 5:00 pm on the second day I got to a room where I could finally unpack my luggage and begin enjoying my vacation. As far as the resort, the beach was the best part. The seaweed was removed each morning. There are two main adult pools. A pool connected by a walkway bridge across it, and another pool that has signs noting that it is for or club members only. If you look at pictures of the resort, the pool by the building with a green roof is for members only. So apparently to use that pool it cost more? No one was in that pool while we were there. So if this resort would have been busy, the one pool would have been way too crowded for us. We walked over to the Sports Bar one night. No one there but two workers. We wanted to watch football. There were no tv remotes around. I asked both workers if they could change the station on any of the tvs, but they did not understand me. So I walked up to one of the televisions to see if there were controls on the side so I could change the channel, and they yelled at me! I don't know what they said but they raised their voices at me. So we left.

    It was in general an amazing stay! It was completely as good as expected. Beach and swimming pool were very clean with plenty of places to chill with great service of towel even with the card system. Great choice of food at the buffet (maybe more seafood would be more appreciated though) and the theme restaurants, even though not always open, were delicious with great service. There were lots of choices of cocktails/alcohool jncluded too!! The staff members were kind, helpful and cheerful. I have nothing to say on the quality of the bedroom, it was clean, with AC and great wifi connection (in almost the whole hotel complex, even by the pool!). Maybe a suggestion : - the entertainment every night is a plus but the gap between the 8:30 pm show and 9:30 pm is a bit long, everyone was going home. To avoid: - the tours offered by the hotel( snorkeling and booggy) it was a touristic trap, expensive and not worth it at all! We didnt see much, we expected more time to visit but we didnt and it was too touristy, not authentic at all.

    -AC in the rooms was not working for all the time of our 7 days stay. We ask for the repairs but it was a big joke. -Calling the Lobby and waiting 40 ring before anybody answers the phone this is the worst kind of service. If I had an emergency I would probably be dead. -The restaurant we always have to ask for ustensils and the service was veryyyy slow. -There was barely few seafoods at the buffet and not adapted for pesqueterian. -The lack of internet on the left side of the beach close to the volleyball court is bad. -The lack of activities makes the resort very boring. -Only 30 minutes of archery is not enough for the amount of people that show up. -My brother had an injury on his foot and when he asked for a lift to his room by the empty cart he was told this cart is only allowed for (Elite members). What a lack of empathy. -The language barrier in this resort will make your vacation a nightmare. 99% of the staff speak only spanish. English is not understood at all. -If you dont tip on each table you sit at... nobody will look at you. -No boats or catamaran of even surf boards will be given to you because they claim that the company that own them are closed indefinetly. I paid for my stay knowing that I will be able to use these boats but the hotel didn't care. -If you like the beach... avoid the rocks and the reefs. There is plenty of them, and if you get close to them there are venomous black scorpion fish. No warning at all from anybody. -If you want to book a restaurant ... we were told from the 1st day that all reservations in all restaurants are full??? so when am I supposed to book the restaurants. This is the worst part and later we got a call saying how did we enjoy our restaurant experience... we never even got a reservation. -This hotel does not deserve more that 1 star. Never going back. -Connection to the internet for most iphones is a nightmare. We had to go to the lobby and nobody tell you that you have to type in a website before trying to connect to a network. -The last 2 days of our stay there was no internet in our rooms... we told the reception and we were told that it will be fixed. 48 hours later we were told the same thing. -Pool and beach towels are ripped. It's really bad you guys. -The pillows... omg the pillows I thing they are made of grass or something they are the worst thing to ever happen to sleep accessories. -First and last time in this hotel.

    At the Grand Sirenis, we had a wonderful time. The resort was safe and practiced all the guidelines for COVID. In the 2258 block, we had a room with an ocean view! The disadvantage is that the wifi in our space didn't work very well. We asked for several time, but it wasn't possible. All the workers wore a mask with a plastic shield. They protected themselves very well. Special thanks to Fausto; what an amazing service. He took care of us at the pool area and restaurants like we were family. Justin Bieber from entertainment, so funny and memorable, made our stay so much fun for my family and me and "Barbie" I think that's her name so lovely and pleasant with the kids. Our housekeeper also did a great job keeping our room clean and making sure we had enough towels, water, soda, and beer. Lesandro from the bar was so lovely, made great drinks. Alejandro from the concierge was such a gentleman, and he recommended which restaurant to go to every day during my stay. From the front desk, Hensley, I remember cause I use to call for any little thing (I am one of those, I apologize in advance), but wow, what a service, not once were any of them mean to me. On the contrary, they always treated me with good manners and with a huge smile. From the beach, the gentleman that made the food was also nice. Angel & Animo Thank you for the outstanding service. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort, and I plan to go back to MARCH 2021! Again, thank you so so much, Fausto, for making my family and I experience such excellent service.
