We are staying here at the Azul tui sensatori it is our last day tomorrow and we have had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Want to say that the waiter in the lobby area and roof top area Equado is absolutely fantastic, he is amazing at carrying all the drinks on he’s head !!! He takes your empty glasses as soon as your finished, and is back with another drink within minutes. The guy works really hard and deserves recognition! Also the pool waiter Fernando is brilliant he continuoey comes to see if your good for drinks and is constanley working hard him and Rosalia and evelio are so friendly and helpful. All the restaurants are brilliant, service is slow in Italian and one of our children broke a glass and we had to wait one hour and ten minutes before they cleaned it up which is pretty dangerous with small children ! Apart from that fantastic stay. And big SHOUTOUT to the fantastic waiters Equado and fernando !!! Xx

    Great food and atmosphere.

We bought this holiday with the idea of it being a 5 star luxury all inclusive holiday. we also paid extra for the premium package upgrades. First arrival at the resort is a positive experience and after a long flight it was nice for everything to get collected from the transport and taken care of for you. Throughout the stay the staff have been warm and friendly and provided excellent service, though a few individuals stood out. I’ll mention those later. The resort is well maintained and clean with easily accessible facilities, wheelchair users should experience few issues here. The restaurants on site were a little disappointing. Limited menu options and the quality of the food was generally average. I found some dishes to be very heavily seasoned with salt that made them inedible, at least to my taste. The stand out place to eat for me was Tapaz. We ate there on three occasions over the 2 week stay, the first was an event hosted by TUI and gave us a chance to sample the menu from ‘Le Chic,’ the adult only restaurant which we didn’t get the chance to experience. The service at Tapaz was excellent and the food was fantastic too, so much so that we decided to return there a couple more time. The menu was a set menu which changed every two days so we spaced our visits out so we could sample the different menu’s. The service we enjoyed there was provided by Salomon and Pablo who ensured we were both entertained and all our needs were met. Both these gentlemen were by far the best waiting staff we encountered in any of the restaurants, and i thank them for taking such good care of us! The poolside team of Lucia, Blanca, Navarro and Alejandro were also excellent and made sure we were really well looked after while we relaxed around the pool. Lucy always took the time to engage with our kids and kept them fuelled with mock tails, milkshakes and crisps, as well as giggles! It was a pleasure to be taken care of by Lucy who was equally adept and keeping us parents topped up with our favourite tipples! The things which did disappoint were the nickelodeon centre and the kids play pool. The website made it look like there was much more to it than what is true in reality. Our kids are 6 and 2 and while the water slide kept our eldest happy for an afternoon, it was a limited novelty. The kids activities were held daily but again there was not a lot of options. This meant that the pool became the main playground. Nothing bad in that really except that we thought the kids entertainment would be of a higher standard with more activity to keep them happy. Not what i expected from the information provided by TUI when choosing the holiday. Excursions were available with operators in huts within the resort as well as TUI offering a range of days out. We were not able to do some of the trips we would of liked to do if we were kid free, but non the less, we did have a great time on the Jolly Roger Pirate Ship! This is a great night out which i would highly recommend to all, with or without kids! The beach is beautiful and spending days on the Bali beds was such a relaxing experience. Especially the day our daughter was enjoying her ‘kiddie spa’ day! The resort itself is a little too far out to easily explore the area, you will need to arrange transport for your visits, but this is easily done by the resort staff in reception. Overall, it has not been a ‘bad’ holiday, but i would say it fell short of my idea of a 5 star resort.

Great vacation! Delicious food & drinks. We participated in daily Spanish class with Roberto & Danielle as well as Water Aerobics with Luis. Our favorite waiter was Mateo at Zavaz. Everyone had a smile on their face & were willing to please!

3rd time here and firstly got to say we’ve had another great holiday here (3rd time here 2010,2017 and this year) Pro’s : *The hotel team are brilliant great friendly service everywhere. *Great to have Premium drinks included (esp Hendricks and Bulldog Gin) *Zavaz restaurant still fantastic and our Favourite restaurant Janet is a ray of sunshine every morning and all the waiters are on their Game here special mention to Mateo. *Aperol Spritz Van and seating outside Sienna a real bonus. *Only went to Spoons 3 times but still best AI buffet we’ve had in 9 Mexico Hols (Indian on Friday night is recommended as good as a Typical Indian in UK) *Gym is great , enough machines and free weights to get a good work out and plenty of water/towels. *Pizza Dude is better than we remembered and great if you want a quick not too heavy lunch. *Some nice touches for returning guests Prosecco in room , offer of complimentary couples massage and candlelight beach dinner although we didn’t manage to use either (our bad) Cons : * Beach is much worse than 2 years ago easy to blame Mother Nature but compare it to Breathless resort 500m further down to see how they are managing the problem exposes that argument (that said the team work hard clearing it and really appreciate any cold cans of pop you can spare) *Sunbed situation is bad , especially bad the 1st week we were there and weekends. Intermittent removal of towels reserved before 7am but fundamentally not enough sun beds. *If you want a quiet relaxing area it can be difficult to find especially at weekends Quiet pool isn’t quiet. *A little bit disappointed that several attempts to contact the hotel asking for an upgrade price were not replied too. All in all a great 2 weeks for the price we paid but feel the resort has lost the SENSATORI feel and would be better suited being branded as more of a Family hotel which I suspect it will be sometime soon with the TUI rebranding going on.
