We have stayed here a few times and every time have the best experience. This last time we were there for New Years and thru and had an outstanding time even despite Covid. Dave Hopper the banquet captain was amazing each day we were there. He was very hospitable and in making sure we were taken care of each day with our bay front seats. Thank you to all the staff for making our time so great and to Dave especially for being so helpful, upbeat and personable.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for sometime now. We have stayed at the Catamaran three times now and each time I love the experience. It’s like stepping into old Polynesia and it’s amazing. But, what helps this beautiful resort stand out is the people working there. Every time, we find someone that just makes us feel totally at home. Whether it’s the lady caring for Chadwick and the rest of the parrots or a person at the front desk it’s always wonderful customer service. This time, I really want to mention Debora in Reservations. Debora, you are the best! She totally went out of her way to help make our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you Debora and everyone at the Catamaran. We can’t wait to stay again..
Pretty Outside, Not Great Inside

We visited San Diego this weekend and stayed a couple nights at the resort. I am avid traveler and when I pay for a 4 or 5 star hotel I expect alot. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, they even gave us a "upgraded" room that we were excited about. The property outside and around the resort is very pretty and well kept. BUT as soon as we entered the room it went down hill quick. The room was very outdated and very dirty. The carpet had cheetos on it, the bed had hair and lint everywhere. The outdated wall paper was turning yellow, the ceilings were separating from the walls. The bathroom was sooooo gross! The grout was black from the dirt, the tub had food in it, the floors were brown but the tile was white. We had dirty towels, very nasty soap dishes and plates. Cobwebs and dust hanging from the ceilings. There was a huge brown recluse spider web on the patio and balcony, the beam on the balcony was cracked and had a ton of termite damage. We were very grossed out with the room tbh but we were hardly in it during the day as we were enjoying the sun. Plus I dont like to make a scene unless needed. All in all a ok Resort but for the $173 a night I was expecting a little more.

Dave is very personable and welcoming to us. He exudes a warm "Catamaran" feeling of special status to make us feel comfortable. Thank you for employing someone like Dave who obviously and easily demonstrates outstanding character and a willingness to help. Sharon L
Outdoor accommodations Dave Hopper

We want to thank Dave for welcoming us to the beach side accommodations. He's been so kind to offer us chairs, direct us to the kiosk where we're able to purchase food and drinks. It's been a difficult time in all our lives and his positive attitude has meant so much to us. We thank the Catamaran and will continue to recommend our out of town guest to you!
