    Want to freeze? Uncomfortable beds and pillows. Terrible soundproofing.

    I really dislike writing bad reviews but I feel like this must be said.. not a very good experience! The furnace stopped working and when I called the front desk, they said they would bring a space heater.. but then they never did. So I called back the following evening, thinking that they had just forgotten about it, no big deal, it happens right?. And they say the same thing, “we’ll bring a space heater” and then... you guessed it, they never did! I paid entirely too much money to be freezing my behind off! I called back again on the third night.... same thing happened! This makes me think they do not care about their customers. Very unfortunate as I thought this place would be pretty nice. The room was pretty dated with the green bathtub and sink, beds were not comfortable at all and they did not have good quality pillows. (According to the front desk lady, we had one of the nicest rooms that they offer) The beds/ pillows made me feel like I was sleeping at a travel lodge or super 8 motel, just with a much higher price. My room was also not very soundproofed. I felt like this resort, if you want to call it that, was old, dated, and basic. I think they need to adjust their rates due to the age and condition of the property. It was nice having easy access to renting any kind of water activities/ toys (which was a very fun activity) but I don’t think that is enough to make me come back. The food options were very limited, and expensive for basic meals. ?? keep looking.

    The room was not cleaned as your hotel promised it was, the wine stopper was sticky & still had wine on it from the previous guest I took a I showed it to the front desk when I checked out. I also took a picture of it. Also on Saturday morning there was a knock on our door at 7:00 a.m. I went to the door and looked out peep it was a man I said can I help you & he said maintenance & I said what can I help you with and he said did you call maintenance I said no I was asleep and he said sorry & walked off so I called the front desk to ask them if they sent the maintenance man and she said oh yeah it's because somebody called in said they heard arguing. That really frustrated me because #1 it's only me and my 11-year-old son in the room and we were both asleep and #2 that's not what he said #3 why send a maintenance man and not security if there had been a disturbance? I was not happy about being woken up at 7:00 a.m. while I'm on vacation especially when it was for no reason

    We had a nice room on the second floor looking out at the boats/marina. All the staff were gracious, courteous and friendly. We enjoyed the outdoor dining at The Firefly. They had plenty of heaters. The serve staff were attentive without being pushy. We will definitely go again sometime.

    Great place to stay Friendly staff Clean rooms Great covid 19 safety Great food at fire fly California was a great trip and we will stay at the Dana again. Already planning a trip in spring of 2021 This time bringing whole family

    This was a good hotel but not great. The location is great. However, for a hotel to charge you a daily resort fee you should get the very BEST. They still have air conditioners in the wall its not central air conditioning system. The room we stayed in was okay we had to get it re-cleaned since it was not cleaned very well when we got there. The restaurant Firefly is really good and the outdoor sitting area, patio and swimming pools were the highlights. They also wanted to charge us for parking when we first got there I don’t know why you would do that to your guest. The service was awesome that we received from the staff. Like i said it was a good stay not great but we expected great since it was listed as a resort style hotel.
