    Spent a week here again. Great personnel always taken care of us. Pierre was great at the Seabreeze Pool bar. Took care of my family & I all week. Humburto at PureOcean provided excellent service as always. Pleasure to see all my friends and look forward to returning in May....only 187 days left

    Beautiful Accomodations with Beautiful Views

    We were at the Divi Nov 2-Nov 12th and had a wonderful time. All the staff were wonderful to us. We went on a tour of the island with Alexander and it was truly amazing. Best Rum Punch we have ever had. His tour was great. We would highly recommend anyone to go on this tour. Best way to see the island, which is so beautiful. I had forgotten how beautiful St. Maarten is! Our accomodations were excellent! best one bedroom suite in the entire place. We were there through RCI for one week and then booked exta nights through Divi. We had to switch rooms to a different condo but luckily within the same building. The RCI condo was the best. The next one was just a bit smaller but still beautiful and both were very clean. We didn't do the alinclusive plan. We ate at the resort some of the time and ventured out for the rest. Taxis are readily available all the time right at the resort and they come back and pick you up which is awesome. We walked into Philipsburg one day and it a bit of a hike but we walked back and it was a bit of a challenge. Would definitely come back to this resort.

    Very nice resort, great friendly staff. The little bay beach is great, with plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas available at no cost fro resort guests. Nice pools with one with swim up bar. Good food at all the restaurants. On site mini mart for food and drinks and other supplies.

    Beautiful views, beach is clean for swimming and snorkeling. Staff was excellent and very attentive to your needs. Restaurants were very good with a limited selection but all was good. Plenty of transportation to town at a reasonable price by taxi.

    We arrived at the resort at about lunchtime, check-in is supposed to be much later. We were greeted promptly and we got into our room early. After checking in you visit the concierge desk. This is where you get your parking pass, towels, book excursions and a pitch to get a sales presentation. We have just ridded ourselves of timeshares, so that was a hard no. Parking is very far from some rooms and our room was in G building, which is almost the farthest from the main lobby. No worries with that, they have bellmen with golf carts. Our room was near the infinity pool, this pool is quiet and you can get some great sunset shots. Our room didn't have a view unless you craned you neck, BUT it was huge, living dining had a couch, table for 6, desk, TV (big), kitchen was weird, couldn't open one drawer completely because it banged into stove, fridge was tilted, things rolled to one side and was a tight fit, so if we opened fridge, we had to reclose freezer because it would pop open. It worked ok though. The room had two full baths, which was nice when one of us was sleeping. Bedroom huge with bed and couch. Bathroom had a whirlpool soaking tub and a very large shower with a seat and rain shower. There was one balcony off of living room with table and lounge chair and another off bedroom. We visited the front desk on Friday to see if we were going to have to move for our second week. We received a letter later that day that we were staying in our room. This was great news. We ate at Gizmos twice, during our first visit I had the chicken kababs and enjoyed them, DH had chicken wrap which was more like a lettuce wrap (i.e. no meat) and wrap was white not spinach. He did not enjoy it. We ordered our first round of drinks and they were correct. The second round was wrong. When I went up to the bar, I had to witness the bartender (woman) lay into the waitress that she ordered it wrong. Thing was my drink came with Sprite, I ordered club soda and the bartender said waitress ordered Tonic. Either way, I just wanted what I ordered and didn't want to listen to them argue. On our second and final visit, we had the worst burgers we have ever tasted. We went to The Shack a couple of times. Wendy is a ray of sunshine. Food was good. They accidentally charged us $7.25 each for 17 oz. bottles of water but mistake was fixed. DH had ribs twice, sauce was different each time but they were enjoyable. I had the mahi with creole (wow delicious sauce) which was yummy, flaky, and then wings, which were good but overcooked. The PureOcean pool is amazing, it is multi-level, has loungers in the water, plenty of shade, hot tub, etc. Loved this pool. There is plenty of seating at the beach. Attendants are helpful. On one windy day, the umbrella came out, hit DH in head and cut is leg. The attendant came over and put umbrella back in... Sand is different than other places on island, more like dirt. You get towel exchange and trash removal every day. We had to ask for hand towels and wash cloths daily, sometimes we got them, sometimes not. We were less than pleased with maid service ( or lack there of). Pros: 1. Bellmen come promptly and help carry luggage, groceries, take you to pool, beach, etc. They are friendly and helpful. Sadly few people tip this hard-working folks. We gave them a few dollars for every trip, more if they lugged our stuff. 2. Front desk is pleasant and helpful. 3. Beautiful pools, loved Infinity for quick dip and sunsets. The PureOcean is gorgeous, probably the nicest pool I have seen at a resort. 4. Large room with two bathrooms, large shower with seat, soaking whirlpool tub. 5. Friendly staff at The Shack. 6. WIFI is some of the best on the island, never had connectivity issues, router right in unit by couch. 7. The setting of resort is gorgeous, you can see cruise ships, Little Bay and Great Bay. They have placed pools so you also have an ocean view. 8. Grounds are well kept. 9. We were lucky to have a stacked washer/dryer in room Cons: 1. Concierge never stops trying to book you a sales tour. Called the room and said we haven't seen you during first and second week. Would also ask about a tour many times when we exchanged towels. 2. Grouchy bartender at Gizmos, food subpar. 3. Care of beautiful rooms is subpar. The room is dirty and needs a good scrubbing. Whenever we would walk by maids, there were several sitting and talking all day with other resort staff. Floor was dirty, my feet were always black, I tried to wash with towel since I didn't have a mop. Couch was stained, so we had to put a towel on it. Upon arrival, supplies were not restocked (coffee, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, etc.) They do full cleaning mid-week but no surfaces were cleaned or wiped. Did no cleaning on the check-in day for second week. 4. Rarely got hand towels even though they said they would bring them back.
