this resort is amazing. been to Veradero a few times and this resort was by far the best one we have been to. the food was good the entertainment was good. our room was amazing. the staff go above and beyond . made us feel like family. already planning our next trip back.

April 4-11 2024 It was a wonderful week away for sun, beach, relaxation and chill. > Beautiful grounds, small size resort, easy to get around and less than a minute walk to the beach unless you stop to chit chat along the way. > Rooms were clean, towels were replenished when requested. > Yenifer in guest relations was very attentive, and ensured my solo stay was comfortable, safe, and checked in regularly to ensure I was having a great time. > Food was ok, certainly missed having french fries. There was always something to eat, but a little variety in lunch and dinner buffet would have been nice. > Pool and beach lounge chairs were very difficult to get, most of them were reserved overnight or before sunrise. 50% of pool loungers were reserved, but unoccupied till after lunch. > No issues with sand fleas, or mosquitos. Used bug spray every night, but hardly saw any > Staff all around were helpful, and friendly. > Made many many new friends, great memories to take back home. I enjoyed my week very much. This resort is awesome, amenities are great, service is fantastic and I would like to addressed my comment to Maria (buffet server), she’s very attentive and on our first day here she connected with us so everytime we eat breakfast, lunch and dinner for as long as she is on duty that day, she always make sure that she reserves our favourite spot to eat. Thank you Maria. And the 2nd one is was our Housekeeping Lady named Anis, she make sure that our toiletries and towels are fresh everyday. In addition, I would like to inform everyone to visit here that the food is not the best. We ate the same thing over and over again. Bring your own condiments as per the food are tasteless, some are but the rest are not really tasty. If you’d like ketchup on your hotdogs and omelette bring your own ketchup. But I don’t really mind the food, all I need is to enjoy the beach, pool and unli drinks. I am just sharing what maybe helps for your future trip here. Just a little tip…. I see some people that was not tipping the servers, bartenders. Please tip them at least $1.00 everytime you eat or ask for a drink in the bar. We already spent for the vacation, just add some budget for the tips. They are very appreciative when they received something. We even tipped the gardeners, and the pool guys who maintained everything. I am just sharing these experiences because some of us always forgetting that there are still people working and part of resort. All in all, our experiance at Iberostar Playa Alameda Resort was Outstanding. And, I would like to highlight this review to MARIA our buffet server. Thank you Maria, you made our stay very special, you’ve always looking after us and saved our favourite table spot. Way to go and I hope that a lot of your guests are happy too!

We were at Playa Alameda Feb 23 to Mar 1 of this year and that was our 6th visit. We have stayed at other resorts on Cuba and the Caribbean but this one provides the most value for the cost. We enjoy the beach, the safety of Cuba both walking miles up and down the beach, or off resort going into town. The staff are amazing in the service they provide and many have become family to us. They do the best they can even with the shortages that sometimes occur. We enjoy the smaller resort and the building layout and grounds are well kept and great to walk around. We found the food very good this year and the service was great especially at the A La Carte’s. Yes, things are not perfect and Cuba is struggling, and there can be issues as you will read in some reviews, but overall we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back.

Worst hotel ever!! The scenery of this hotel is very nice but.... the food is so bad! This is an adult hotel full of drunks young adults who yell all night until 4 am. People leave their personal stuff on the pool and beach chairs to reserve it all week, so it's very hard to find one available. No maintenance to take them off and replace the chairs. I hear yelling across the wall from my neighbors room. The administration of this hotel is totally useless and not doing anything for those problems or anything you ask for. Worst, the manager fake she will do something just for you to shut up. The WiFi is very bad too. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Can't wait this nightmare is over!!
