Excellent value for money - excellent home away from home.

We stayed for four nights after Christmas in a one bedroom suite, which was spacious and very clean and totally quiet. Yes, the carpets should be replaced with vinyl flooring or some such that doesn't show dirt, but they were as clean as they could be and the rest of the place was well looked after and really spotless. Central location with super helpful and friendly staff. It was a breath of fresh air. Thank you Royal Scott for being a real home away from home.
Great place to stay for a Christmas break

This was our second Christmas at the Royal Scot and once again we were very pleased with our warm, cozy and quiet suite. We booked early for a dog room and the front desk said there was five dogs in-house when we were staying but you would never know it. This year there was a Christmas special if you stayed three nights and we also received complimentary parking. Staff was very pleasant and polite. The hotel does have an in-house restaurant which served a good breakfast in the past but was unfortunately closed. If you are visiting Victoria the location is perfect and safe.

Thank you for such a great effort during such a difficult time. The check in was easy. The room was spotless. The room amenities were exactly what we wanted. The pool and hot tub were great. Parking was convenient and safe.

The Inner Harbour area is the best Victoria location for accommodation, and there is no better value than the Royal Scot. The most accessible walking destinations - one block to Inner Harbour and Legislature, 2 blocks to BC Museum, 2 blocks to James Bay restaurants, pubs, liquour store, grocery stores. Keep walking through James Bay to get to the walking path along the ocean. Government Street restaurants and attractions are easily accessible via a scenic walk along the Inner Harbour. Free parking including 2 free EV (electric vehicle) charging stations. Very clean good sized swimming pool and jacuzzi, and workout room with 4 machines and free weights. Book directly through the hotel - it was even cheaper than the Booking.com Genius level rates - and that rarely happens. Booking direct through any hotel gives you a better chance of getting a free upgrade. The atmosphere is positively different from the big chain hotels. Rent bikes nearby and cycle the Galloping Goose and/or the Lochside Trail. Have a good value lunch at the Legislature Buildings (8:30 - 2:00) reservations recommended. James Bay has good value pubs and restaurants. On Government Street there is live music (7 pm) at Irish Times and Bard and Banker pubs. BC Museum is a must see. We were given a free upgrade to a room with full kitchen.
