Flight Swap

Flight Swap is a limited-time option for guests who can adjust their travel plans.

  1. If you received an email about Flight Swap, you can choose to cancel your flight or switch to a different one.

    As a thank you for being flexible, you’ll receive Travel Bank credits to use toward a future trip.

  2. To receive your Travel Credit bonus, you will need a WestJet Rewards account using the same email you used to book your flight.

Your options

  1. Cancel for travel credit bonus

    Cancel your flight and receive the full value of your ticket, in addition to a bonus as a travel bank credit.

    If you paid with credit card, Travel Bank credit, or a gift card:

     Your ticket value will be returned as Travel Bank credit in your WestJet Rewards account

    If you paid with WestJet points:

     Your points will be returned to your WestJet Rewards account

    No matter how you paid, you’ll also receive additional Travel Bank credits as a thank-you for your flexibility.

  2. Change for travel credit bonus

    If your travel plans are flexible, you can switch to one of the flight options offered and enjoy:

     Additional Travel Bank credits to use on a future trip.

What happens next

  1. If you choose to cancel your flight

    Once you confirm your cancellation:

     We’ll send you a confirmation email

     Your ticket value and Travel Bank credits will be added to your WestJet Rewards account 

     Prepaid seats and bags will be automatically refunded back to your original form of payment

    Allianz Travel Insurance or Cancel for Any Reason are non-refundable.

  2. If you choose to change your flight

    Once you confirm your new flight:

     Your itinerary will update right away

     We’ll email you your new flight details

     Your Travel Bank credits will be automatically added to your WestJet Rewards account

     Prepaid seats and bags will be refunded to your original form of payment

     Visit Manage Trips to add any seats or bags to your new flight

    If you purchased Allianz Travel Insurance or Cancel for Any Reason, it will be automatically transferred to your new flight.
