The family and I spent 10 wonderful days at blue waters, this is a truly great great place whether you are with the family or As a couple. We stayed in cove suites so we had the choice to relax with virtually our own pool, or take the kids to the main pools (with the bar) and or the pristine beach. Beautiful views and yes it really is blue waters. Staff were soo friendly from tyio high fiving my 4 year old every day and Carolyn’s wonderful smile as she delivered the pina colada’s. The food is amazing And those breakfasts are to die for, delicious variety for all meals and a special shout to the pastry chef as the desserts are off the charts. I don’t generally do reviews but this place deserves a massive one, I could go on but the jet lag is kicking in, thank you for a wonderful 10 days and we will be seeing you next year. Cheers

We found complete rejuvenation at Blue Waters resort. Our family of five was fortunate enough to stay at the Rock Cottage which is completely private and perfectly nestled atop a rock at one end of Blue Waters property. The accommodation offers several outdoor lounging locations with 180 degree views of the ocean where we completely melted into the natural stone and turquoise waters and sky. The pelicans would constantly swoop and soar around us and then rest in the trees beside one of the two infinity pools. The private dock below the cottage gave us daily private access to the calm inlet just on the other side of the rock where we would swim to a perfect beach to collect shells and explore. The personal concierge that comes with Rock Cottage checked with us morning and night to make sure we planned any reservations or taxis we would need to make the trip a success. This resort had nothing but friendly faces and warm welcomes from each restaurant and barbecue to the spa and kids club. I forced my kids (ages 13, 10 and 5) to take the garden tour to learn about the lush species of plants in the Blue Waters grounds and was tickled to see them actually enthralled by the gardeners familiarity with catching lizards and spotting humming birds and opening aloe leaves to heal cuts. Blue Waters gave us all you would need to feel inspired and nurtured in a heavenly home away from home. Do visit!

We can’t imagine there are many places in the world quite as life-affirming as Blue Waters. We arrived from a wintry England with the world on our shoulders and left two weeks later floating on air. The hotel is wonderful – with accommodation discreetly set in tropical gardens and secret spots for watching hummingbirds and for soaking in the coastal views. Our room (a Cove Suite) was impeccable and very quiet and we loved the evenings listening to crickets and watching the sun go down. We ate in all three restaurants and especially enjoyed the bbq’d fish at the Palm and the lobster and shrimp in the intimate Cove. There was plenty of variety and it was always beautifully presented - breakfast was excellent as well. Service was great everywhere and it is definitely the staff who help to make this such a magical place. There is no stiff formality - instead we found a genuinely friendly team who made sure that all our needs were met and at the end of our stay we felt like we were leaving friends behind. A big thank you to Carolyn at the Cove Suites, concierge Karen, Owen and his fantastic water sports team, the lovely Dotsy in the beach boutique, and head-gardener John. We recommend his garden tour to learn more about the exotic plants. It is great to see the hotel leading the way in tackling the issue of single use plastic by providing reusable water bottles for all guests. Blue Waters is a slice of paradise and it’s no wonder that so many guests come back time and again.

Last year we praised the staff and accommodation but we were bitterly disappointed by the quality of the food. Alas the same must be said on this visit. We dined three times in the more stylish restaurant called The Cove and we felt that the standard of cooking had not improved and the presentation of each dish is disastrous. The more modest restaurant on the beach by the pool, called Carolyn is very basic but does serve good pizzas and flat bread. Our room was the same as last year with a fine pool that we had to ourselves most of the time. Alas, the tranquility was destroyed at the end of our stay when two families appeared with very noisy children who leapt into the water shouting.

Celebrated my wives 50th anniversary. Place is beautiful. Staff all work hard and are very accommodating. We had a private special dinner on the gazebo for my wife’s birthday and it was wonderful ($230 upcharge, no biggy). Rachel was a wonderful private waitress. The cove restaurant was awesome. CJ took us out on the ocean for a Hobie Sail (no charge). In the spirit of improvement, The sausages are pretty bad and the tennis courts are slanted.... but worth the price!
