My boyfriend and I just recently stayed at cocobay resort and everything about our trip was amazing. Starting at the airport with how easy it is to maneuver because it’s small and getting our transportation was easy and the people are very friendly. On our way our taxi driver told us that cocobay is more in the country then the other resorts. So that being said it’s quite and just overall a beautiful spot. The resort is in a bay (as the names hints) and is up on a hill. It’s a beautiful spot especially for all the cottages. When you first are driving up to the resorts the landscaping very nice and very clean. You get to the check in and the view is just breathtaking. They have a nice little rum punch waiting for you, or nice tropical water if you’d preferred that. The main lobby is very new and updated the overall first impression is just perfect. check in takes minutes and the People were also very nice at the front desk. A gentlemen walked us to our room that was pretty far out on the hill at least a 3/4 minute walk. When we got to our cottage I think the gentlemen said their might be around 60ish cottages throughout the resort so it’s a smaller resort, they are all very cute!! Well we walked inside our cottage and it was just beautiful the view from our cottage was the 5 islands and wow! Breathtaking again! We realized their is not a TV in the room and no room service. They want you to relax and be out in the resort. Which makes sense, after all we were there to relax. The cottage- walk in and you see the bathroom which has flowers spread over the counter the standing shower that how’s doors to open to take showers which is definitely a must it’s so relaxing. A little closet where the safe is and then the bedroom (it’s all one room) bed with netting around it, especially if you want to keep your door open at night. Walked out onto the porch and it had two chairs and a hammock and the breathtaking view! (I’ll put up pictures) over all again just a great first impression. The resort after settling in we were hungry! So figured out the food situation quickly. They have a breakfast and lunch buffet, panini sandwiches by the pool and up by the bar a bar menu. And then the formal dinner. But that’s it for all inclusive restaurants just one. I had to say AT first I was a little upset about it (I guess we didn’t read that much into the food option) but if you eat the right amounts and take advantage of the different meal options you’ll be fine. (Portions are not “American size”). But I have to say the food was absolutely outstanding, dinner was just amazing. You can also ask for substitution for any meal especially if you want to try the local food. But you have to ask a day in advance. My boyfriend and I took advantage of that! And I’d recommend the pepper pot! So so good!! The rest of the resort- they have multiple pools one closer to the restaurant and then one close to the beach both are beautiful and have different views. We went to the beach basically every day. They have a lot of little hits on the beach only one day we got on the beach late and ended up going to the pool because it was full. But of course on the beach the locals are trying to make a living and asking if you want to do this tour and that tour and buy this buy that. But you tell them no thanks and they leave you alone. Every single beach in Antigua is public so your amongst the locals. Everyone is very friendly. They don’t bring you out drinks to the beach which was a negative for us. The “pool” guy just hangs out with his friends/family on the beach... Went on a couple trips away from the resort. Went to downtown St. John go shop they have a shuttle that’s 12 dollars a person round trip. It’s perfect. And your there for 2 hours and they come back and get you. At first we were a little intimidated but it’s actually beautiful and the locals are great very nice also. Helpful and it was hassle and haggle free. We shopped where all the tourists do and then went away from that into where the locals are had ate the food and looked in the stores. Overall a great experience. Then we went on the creole lobster tour! Highly highly recommend. I’ll leave a separate review on that. But just great! Overall cocobay was awesome and we can’t wait to be back

We recently had a week long stay at this all inclusive resort. The resort itself was situated on a hillside overlooking the gorgeous Caribbean. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the little cottages dotting the property are very quaint. The resort is small so there isn’t a great distance between the accommodations and the front desk/restaurant areas. Even the beach is just a short walk down a flight of stairs off the lobby. There were water sport activities offered and the water was nice and calm; perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking. The atmosphere at the resort was quiet and laid back. Very casual vibe with great service from the efficient and friendly staff. The food was good and lots of variety was offered at each meal. Not the place for people who like huge buffets. It was catered more to those who enjoy fine dining. My husband has a bigger appetite than I do and he was always offered more food when he enquired. I found the portions and variety more than adequate. This isn’t the type of place for those who are looking for lots to do. There was entertainment at night but it was fairly quiet for the majority of our stay. Perfect for those who are just trying to get away from a busy pace of life for some rest and relaxation. We would definitely return for another visit.

We had a memorable vacation to Antigua and staying at Cocobay Resort. There are too many positives to list, but if you have the opportunity definitely recommend staying at this resort. The management have done it right, the cottage was beautiful, the food excellent and staff open and friendly. We went with a deluxe cottage, three rows up from the beach and a short walk to amenities and beaches. Nothing was more than a 5-minute walk from any part of the resort. The room, was as pictured on web site, everything you need for a quiet relaxing stay. The room, had a small coffee pot, with mini-fridge. The bed centered the room with netting overlooking amazing views of the waters. I could see the tops of the other cottage but it did not detract from the amazing views. There is one chair and a small bench in the room, not a complaint but an observation, would have been nice to have another chair available. We did not request so it could very well have been offered. The french doors open up to the small deck with two Adirondack chairs and a hammock. Personal preference, but the hammock was cloth and felt a bit warm (uncomfortable) during daylight hours. The bathroom, is very spacious, one sink, toilet, and the showerhead. The bathroom came equipped with small panel doors that could be opened to allow for more lighting and fresh air ocean breezes while cleaning up after a day at the beach. The management has done everything they could to give privacy and peace and quiet. Private pool just off the deck was amazingly refreshing early morning and late afternoon couple relaxing. They have done it right. Food was great, every day the menu changed and the staff did their best to accommodate special requests. The wait staff was great very friendly and willing to chat and engage visitors. Amenities all around, two large pools, two bars, and basically private beach. We never had an issue getting a chair at either pool or beach. They do offer limited sports equipment included in a resort package, (3 Kayaks, 2 SUP, and one small Hobie sailboat) basically equipment was first come first serve but there were a couple of days no one was there to sign our equipment and life vests. The bartender staff would occasionally allow patrons to grab the gear and help get equipment out in the early am. Most equipment not available until after 9 am. We had no issues grabbing equipment and enjoying ourselves, it is limited so there is that. Overall minor observations but not one complaint. We would definitely stay again. one caveat of note make sure you bring small bills and sunblock and aloe, they have a small gift shop on the resort but prices are resort prices, $20 USD for aloe lotion and the staff never seemed to maintain change to break larger bills.

By far, the best resort, I've stayed at in years. The food was good, & the staff was awesome. I will definitely be back to visit, rather it's just to vacation or a special occasion. My boyfriend & I enjoyed spending my 40th Birthday here.
