    We visited Christmas period. We had booked as privileged guests entitling us to added extras such as a better room with robes slippers and access to other exclusive restaurants. On arrival out room was only set up for 2 people despite it being booked for 3 guests . We also tried ordering for room service which we were entitled to as privileged guests however was refused service as they had all gone home ! We had also reported the broken items in the room (coffee machine) and electrical which were hanging out of the wall . (Pictures below) Also the stairs leading up to our room had water pouring through the electrical lights another danger. The food was served cold and the descriptions did not match the food that was being served . ( Not good if you are allergic to certain foods!) We had made several complaints even went to see our TUI rep although nothing could be done . We were then told by one of the staff who we had gone to see about our problems to “ Get out of the resort” we did not feel safe here at all. Please avoid this hotel it did nothing but ruin our Christmas and the staff made me and my family feel unsafe !!

    What can I say about this resort. Travelled for our 13th visit. Just keep returning after falling in love with everything about it. What makes it so special for us. The staff are fabulous. Nothing is to much trouble, some of the staff have been there for many years, it's like coming home to a family. Pedro, Raphael, Alfonso, lovely Patricia the waitress now working in the Japanese who even remembered my husbands birthday with a personal gift. Jorge in Beloved who was always smiling and making us laugh.Deyvi looking after us whom we were hoping to see in September at the new resort.Alix from guest services who was so helpful when my husband was taken ill So many great people. Food excellent especially in the A La cartes Beloved was our favourite followed closely with the Steak House Had to cancel our trip for September but have rebooked for November as the lure was too much. Hoping we will be able to travel back to our second home

    This is a very special place, We have never been to a hotel twice as we like to try new places, this is our 7th visit with this years and next years already booked. What makes it a fantastic find? The staff - they are the best I have ever met, nothing is too much trouble from the Reception staff, Concierge, Customer Service especially Alix, a big shout out for the bar staff who are amazing, restaurant staff especially Oscar, the hotel is exceptionally clean. All staff at this hotel are amazing. The food is exceptional, this time was a 3 week stay never got bored of the food and only ate out twice, we did 4 trips out which were magnificent, we did trips with the amazing Monica Rivas who personalised every trip. Can’t wait to go later this year when it’s safe to travel

    We were scheduled to return to this fabulous resort on May 19th for our 8th stay. Unfortunately our plans were scuttled by the world wide devastating virus. Needless to say we were disappointed as we were looking forward to another amazing stay at the CAT. We have met so many wonderful staff members, too numerous to mention, as everyone at this resort goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The gardners, the wait staff, the cleaning staff, reception staff, all do an amazing job for which we are thankful. We have made lasting friendships while at this resort and it truly is “our home away from home”. Once you have found paradise. why look anywhere else? To our dear Alix, we will be back once this is all over. Until then. to all the staff, stay well and stay safe, our friends, until we meet again.

    Trip Cut Short

    We chose Catalonia because we had been there before with our kids and knew that the priviledged area would give us enough space. My wife, son, and I were excited to go back for an extended 8 day vacation. Unfortunately due to the global pandemic we had to cut our trip a couple days short due to the resort closing. First, the food is great. Having been there before we knew that Bloved was an excellent breakfast option. The hot dog stand is always great for a quick bite and the lunch always has something to keep you going. This time around we chose to try the italian restaurant and were not disappointed! Great food and great service. The Hibachi grill was just as good as we remembered. The drinks are great and we'll always remember Pedro at the beach bar. He made sure we always had full drinks. The staff here are amazing. As the week went on there were less and less people around the resort which made it feel like you had the pool and beach to yourself. However, the restaurants started strategically closing because they just didn't get the volume. The indoor buffet was only open for the first day we were there and the steak house was closed over our the weekend. We arrived on a Monday and were notified on Friday that the restort would be closing on Sunday (we were not scheduled to leave until Tuesday). They offered to move us to another Catalonia but the thought of moving twice with a 4 year old was not appealing at all. We would have had to check out at Noon on Sunday and could not check in to the other resort until 3:00 PM. Thus, we chose to move our flights to Sunday and return home instead. You could tell the staff were obviously upset about the closure and it pained us to leave and see people out of work. They are incredible. The rooms are becoming dated and more worn. They could use a good update and I think that was the path they were on during our stay. There was construction and painting around the priviledged area the entire time we were there. On our final morning prior to our flight home we didn't even have hot water. We did notice that the time-share people were a little more pushy this time around but not to the point of being obnoxious. Overall we still love this resort under normal circumstances. Don't hesitate to go once everything opens back up.
