This resort exceeded our expectation! We stayed there from 11/21 to 11/28, my husband and myself, our six year old son and my in-laws. We also got the preferred club and I highly recommended it. Since we learned our lesson the first time we visited Cancun (at a different resort) about the time-share sales pitch, when we were presented with a "nice" champagne breakfast with several free activity vouchers, my husband firmly yet courteously declined and they didn't bother us anymore. So just say no very firmly when they push you to do that breakfast. Then you'll have a great time there. The preferred club will get you to stay on the top (16th) floor room, the room is large and very clean, mattress was firm and very comfortable. WIFI was extremely fast, probably because of less people fighting for the bandwidth. It's still a good amount of people but you'd never have to wait for a lounge chair at the pool, and since the resort could only operate at 60% capacity the max, no need to worry about social distancing, it was just not crowded. On our third day we had neighbors, sound proofing was close to none, you could hear people's conversation quite clearly, but we all came with family so it's basically quiet after 10pm. Since we had both very young and old participants here, we opted for a fun yet relaxing itinerary. We hired a private driver to Chichen Itza, Cenote Samula and Valladolid one day, we highly recommend it if you have such a mixed age group. Another day we visited Xel-Ha natural water park, another great spot and it got activities for everyone. Their kids playground has the best water slide because it takes you down to the water, then continue with an obstacle course right on water. Even I had lots of fun with my son, it's very challenging for grown ups btw. Kids club will watch your kids (at least 3 years old) from 10am to 10:30pm! They have different activities everyday and it's like extended childcare. We put our son there only for couple hours one day (it's our son who didn't want to be there). We wore masks wherever we were indoors but basically a lot of guests didn't, all staff wore masks all the time, they were very friendly, helpful. We always went to the preferred club for breakfast because there's no line, very quiet and you could sit on the balcony. As other reviews mentioned, the staff made very little a day so we tipped heavily. Some names worth mentioned were Sahid, Carlos (there were two, one at the preferred club and another at Bluewater grill), Abraham at Portofino. Another thing worth mentioning was that these guys worked so hard to please their customers, the restaurants were definitely under-staffed yet they still maintained a joyful attitude, so we tipped heavily whenever possible. You should not miss their water activities included at the resort, kayaking, sailing on the catamaran are a must-do! Super fun and while the water wasn't turquoise clear, you could still see to the bottom. For shopping, I would suggest skip the water taxi to Puerto Cancun (it's also included) since it's a very small mall, with many stores you find back in the States. We went to Las Americas (Chedraui, the Mexico Target to me), and a local pottery artist Tianguis de Talavera, a hidden gem if you are interested in getting Talavera pottery. It's not the ones you'll get the authentic Talavera sticker on the bottom but definitely one following the same process. Even the staff at the resort didn't know about this, it's a recommendation by our private driver. Hope you'll find this review helpful.

You want to live a beautiful experience? Dreams Vista Cancun is the place!! The food is incredible (top resort have ever eaten), the staff is amazing. The room... WoW!! Big room with a magnificent shower, high ceilings and big windows. We were at the 14th and the view was incredible. You have a great wifi connection everywhere in the hotel. The restaurants were delicious. My 2 favorite ones are the rooftop grill and the Portofino (italian). You should bring the saxophone player more often. It was the best supper by far! Gracias a todos los personnas que trabajan en el hotel. Especial gracias a Erik, Mayka, Persy, Henry and Lidia. You were amazing and really sweet with us!! ?? Mathieu Boucher et Martin St-Jacques

    Luxury with a few misses

This hotel is brand new and with that come a few misses but it’s nothing that should deter people from coming to this place. First thing you notice is the guard stops and the security you feel when in this note. They take it very seriously and sometimes to seriously where you might find yourself walking 15 minutes to get picked up for a tour. The hotel itself is gorgeous and is brand new basically. The spot where this hotel is located is quite a ways away and if you’re in Cancun for a beach well sad to say this is not the hotel for you. No beaches are here and the water is not turquoise like you might think but that’s ok! The beauty old massive infinity pool and the rooftop pool makes up for it and what really stands out is the service. The service here is top notch and not once did we feel like something was missing. The food and drinks were amazing and if we had to pick a favorite ours was the Italian restaurant portofino. Taxi rides away from this spot to the shopping center is about 180-200 pesos.

We just came back from Dreams Vista Cancun. Hotel is new since last year and it still looks like it. I'm taking the time to write a review specially during Covid to reassure travelors. In a word: GO!!! If you have any concern, don't worry. I'm a travel consolant in Quebec. Here are my comments about our one week experience. Airport/plane: Temperature was taken twice before boarding. Plane was full but everybody kept there mask on so was the flight attendants. Good ventilation and little disinfectant kit on plane. Free soft drinks are serve but no food except if you order it in advance. Appreciation of the hotel: Staff is amazing! They do wathever they can to please you. You can see their smile under their mask. Food is unbelievable. At buffet, they serve you from the other side of the counter so nobody touches the food. Also small portions on Ice. If you need butter and salt for exemple, just ask the waiter and he will provite it to you with piliers. We tried all the restaurant..not disappointed at all. Our favorite: japanese, italian and the one on the rooftop. Drinks are good..bring your own staws for the safe of environment. Be sure to take a good coffee/espresso/frappuchinos/Ice Cream and Gelato at the coco cafe. A must! Always welcomed with a smile. Go to the small store at the beach. Mario and his wife Teo are very nice and they work hard. Don't be shy to ask them if you want something special like an inscription on your bowl. Negatives points: the beach is small..no long walk possible and seaweed in water and on the beach. Not their fault. The rooftop has an adult pool with a very nice setup reserved for adults. But also just for preferred members..that i didn't know ans was disappointed. Because of big wind, we could not open the pool and beach umbrellas so no shades except at the rooftop. We wish we could go too. Hotel covid's mesures: About 30% full. Tables at restaurant have distanciation; same with the pool chairs. Soap everywhere. Thermo camera at the entrance of the main buffet and lobby. Staff wear mask everywhere. They are tested with questions at the beginning of there day and temperature also taken. If they have symptoms they go to hospital right away. 14 days of quarantine if they are positive. Finally, special thank you to Lidia and her staff at the World Café (Arturo, Dana, Raymundo, Isaac, Gabriel, Persy, Erik) , Maria at the réception,Sahid at animation and Eduardo at the beach bar. They maid our trip unforgettable. Muchas Gracias Amigos! Espero verte de nuevo! Sorry for my english..i'm french.??
