This review is on the restaurant only - I did not stay in the hotel, but it looked nice hence I decided to have dinner in this hotel. I went to the Confed. Lounge, which is a pretty cosy area, you feel comfortable here. I ordered the Honey Oat Pint, and was pleasantly surprised. The Confed burger was offered with a choice of fries or salad. I chose the salad, and all was served within a reasonable time. The bread of the burger looked very basic, but the burger was good. I planned to have dessert too, but the burger was did not leave any space for that. The cappuccino was huge, but not the quality I expected in this upper class environment. The price was fair, but not low. As a side note: the music was annoying and totally not in line with the stylish ambiance.

We have been staying at the Fairmont Edmonton for 25 years and their level of service and attention to detail is consistently outstanding. This time we were there for a wedding reception that was hosted in one of their refurbished venue rooms and it was truly a night to remember, we chose to stay on for a few days to take a quick escape from the normal responsibilities of life. The Gold rooms are well worth the extra little cost if you are going to be hanging around the hotel for any period of time, the lounge is fully stocked and is a comfortable place to work or relax. Highly recommended.

Great beds in well appointed rooms. Staff as usual makes the stay even better. Gold floor was a great place to hang out and visit. Delicious treats and breakfast served as well. Checked in with us during trip to see if there was anything else they could do.

We really enjoy our stays at Fairmont MacDonald, with family based out of Edmonton, it’s a perfect retreat for us to unwind in comfort. We always stay on the Gold level, we have come to really enjoy the perks of the level. In particular we really appreciate the professionalism, diligence and kindness we receive from Keenan, he is always a pleasure to connect with and deserves high praise for his efforts. We also had the pleasure of meeting Rejean, who was very accommodating and kind to us. We never have a complaint, thank you so much.

This was the most amazing visit I've had yet. Reception, check in and valet was prompt, friendly and easy to navigate. Upon arriving in our room, we were greeted with a lovely upgrade and small gift to make our stay even more memorable. Dinner in the lounge was quiet and charming with incredible views of the river valley. We took a little trip downstairs to the pool/hot tub which was clean, warm and relaxing. Room service to end the evening was delicious, prompt and friendly. We had an exceptional stay and I hope you do too!
