The beach was super fun, super easy easy access to the beach as it is right in front of it !!! The drink service was super quick with the quality. The buffet was also super good as it has a variety of food. Overall very good service at the holiday inn.

The staff at the Holiday Inn really sits this place apart. They keep the resort as clean as possible with the capacity this giant resort holds. Staff is great and friendly! We also enjoyed the tour to the Isla de Ixtapa. Beach great. Miles of walking. You may swim in ocean, but with cauton. I would definitely recommend this for anyone even with small children.

Last month, my wife and I traveled together. Checking in was straightforward, and while our first room was nice, the air conditioning wasn't working. We switched rooms the next night and found a cooler one on a lower floor, but it seems like the higher rooms (excluding those in the tower) all have this issue. The food and drinks were decent but we definitely have had way better at other resorts. We were surprised that they didn't offer mojitos, mango margaritas, or dirty monkeys like we've had at other resorts. There was a huge influx of Mexican locals at the hotel on both weekends we were there. Speaking to one family they told me the hotel offers a super cheap deal to locals for weekends to fill the hotel. And it was full! It cleared out significantly from Monday to Thursday. During those days, they even closed one of the restaurants for breakfast and lunch. The two pools are shallow. I’m not tall by any means and the one with the pool bar didn’t even go to the bottom of my shorts. There were only about 30 other English-speaking guests in the whole resort during our stay (no exaggeration) and we noticed most of the staff struggled to communicate in English. We could have found lots that we didn’t like about this resort but it’s what you make it. You definitely can find nicer resorts but the beach, ocean and weather in Ixtapa is amazing. The location of this hotel is fantastic, with plenty of shops and restaurants right across the street to explore after a day of sun and sand.

This was my 7th trip to Ixtapa, the 6th at this hotel. The good: The staff is wonderful and will do whatever it takes to make your stay better. A special shout out to Cleofus who manages the beach towels, always with a smile, Hugo for taking time out of his managerial duties to conduct a water aerobics class, and the entertainment staff who are all fantastic! I look forward to the made-to-order omelets every year, and they did not disappoint! The bad: This year there were so many smokers on the beach. One of them smoked every day by the sign indicating no smoking! The lack of smoking was something I loved about going to Ixtapa. It was disappointing to see the rudeness of so many guests this year. I fear that this will only increase as smokers see the boldness of other smokers. I hope I am wrong, because I really love vacationing here!

The first time I came was in my honeymoon now I came with my family and it feels like we’re in home. Pool, food, beach access, drinks, snaks and staff was great over all. I just cant wait to come back again to relax and recharge batteries. This hotel is amazing
