Wow is an understatement to describe my wife and my time at the Sheraton Maui resort. The location can not be beat. The views are stunning. They do an excellent job in making their guests feel special. I cannot say enough great things about Phillip. He was exceptional, as was Chris. We rented casabellas and cabanas? throughout our stay. The service from Phillip and Chris was the best I have experienced and I have more than 800 Marriott lifetime nights. The food at the resort was delicious and Donna did a super job of waiting on us. All the Sheraton staff just seemed to be in great moods and it definitely rubbed off on my wife and I. Keli (not sure the spelling) and James were huge help in allowing us to use suite night awards for our stay. Our junior suite as they called it was much bigger then what many resorts call a regular suite. We loved our room! Maui is long flights from our home, but with the incredible service the Sheraton gave us we will be back. My wife and I could not be more pleased with our stay. It was the best! Our only concern was the OGG airport. It was not a nice Hawaiian welcome to have long lines greet you with all their COVID requirements right when you get off the plane. No one smiling and they were acting like they were doing us a favor by letting us come to Maui. They need to be better prepared. We were in Puerto Rico a month ago and their setup was a breeze. Definitely not the case at OGG. However, the Sheraton Maui resort quickly made us forget about that and allowed us to have the perfect vacation. We will be back!

Maui hasnt figured out how to deal with passengers arriving at their airport. After a 30 minute flight from Honolulu, and we were not last in line. we waited in line for 1 hour and 10 minutes to clear the Covid check point. NO restaurants, NO water, NO RESTROOMS. Not very good planning by the State. The Good News is the Sheraton Maui is up and running, restaurants, bars and water activities are all taking place. Only been at the Sheraton for 1 day, but they are treating their guests like royalty. Looking forward to the next 5 days and will update post BTW bring cash, rental cars are non existent and average rental ( if you can find a car) is about $200/day.

Too big to access Maui easily

The resort is clean, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, and the views outstanding. The resort has SIX buildings and it is at least a 15-20 minute walk anytime you want to access your room. It takes 20 minutes to walk from our room (building 4 - amazing ocean view) to the garage. Another 20 minutes back from the garage.... if you stay on property, this resort is perfect. If you have any intention of exploring Maui, add another 40 minutes to any adventure just to get to your rental car. I wish I had known the inconvenience of the over-sized property. I enjoyed our stay, but will never stay here again. Look for a resort that isn't a monstrosity and doesn't waste your precious Maui time walking between your room and the parking garage....

This is a very beautiful property in a beautiful location. BUT! Half the restaurants are closed; I couldn’t get a cup of coffee at 1PM??? The pool is crowded and no shade to be had unless you reserved a chair at 7AM; Checked into our room and there were no towels. Next day room was “serviced” and there were no toiletries. All of this for 400 bucks a night plus a resort fee? What? Indifferent service everywhere. “Can’t help you” “No.” “We don’t have that” (filtered drinking water). Hotel is seriously understaffed and staff they have are not trained in anything remotely resembling customer service. My daughter has celiac disease-almost nothing on the two open restaurants for her to eat. Walk or drive into town to eat? Be prepared for a 90 minute wait to eat anywhere. And all this after multiple expensive covid tests and massive hassles to get to Maui. Maui is just a beautiful giant tourist trap these days. Stay home and check into your local Best Western. You’ll be treated better than they treat you at the Sheraton Maui and save yourself a whole lot of money and aggravation.

Enjoyed an ocean view room. Wonderful sized balconies allowed us to take full advantage of the views. The room seemed pretty recently updated. Comfortably appointed. Rent the cassabellas ( two seaters with a cover ) they are comfortable and a great way to stay out of sun as wanted.
