Wonderful time at the Fairmont Orchid. From the very friendly, welcoming staff, to the location and beauty/cleanliness of the grounds, this made for a wonderful vacation.

The hotel was fine, rooms were nice, common areas were gorgeous, but for a Fairmont and for the price, there wasn't really anything that WOWed me. Pool area is small and VERY tired as are all the lounges and chair pads. Beach area is VERY small and gets very crowded with small children in the water. Service was very average. I had to leave several notes over several days for the housekeeper to refill the shower soap....in the shower that was never cleaned the entire time we were there (same small pile of sand from inside a bathing suit remained there for 5 days!). I left my flat iron in the room. I called 2 hours after we checked out when I realized we had left it there and they said it wasn't there. Now, come on!

excellent stay at the Orchid. Everybody was so nice and all the outlets were great and relaxing Tiara and James at the front desk took good care of us. Lisa, Nerlie, Kallan and Chris at the Fairmont Gold lounge were so welcoming during the morning breakfasts we will miss them. Destiny at the beach bar was great and lounge bartender Manna is the man! server Roshni too. highly recommend!

Stayed for a conference. Enjoyed my time. Peaceful and relaxing. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast buffet at the orchid was delicious and our waitress was awesome. My only complaint is dinner at the Hale Kai. Understaffed. Waitress was serving front and back, could not accommodate our needs. Food was undercooked, bland, and overpriced. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Relaxing and working on the lanai with the waterfalls was one of my favorite parts. I am Kamaina and live on Oahu. I wanted to bring my dog but $75/night cleaning fee is quite much for a 12 pound Pomeranian Chihuahua who you wouldn’t even know is there. I believe $75 for a stay 4 days or less is much more reasonable. I would stay here more often if that was the case. Overall, very good stay.
