    We stayed in the section of the property that was across the street from the beach. This was not a problem for us. The hotel had a person to stop traffic every time we went to the beach. The property is beautiful and it is a great location. The room was great.

    We were very disappointed in our stay. The grounds and setting are beautiful and the location is perfect. We just found the service lacking and the food below average. It wasn’t horrible but i was expecting a more upscale experience and this definitely was not. If your from the US the best I can compare it to is to say this is more of a middle of the road Holiday in and no where near a Four Seasons. The rooms are TINY and has much more of a motel than a hotel feel.

    As the corona virus is about to decimate the Costa Rican tourist industry, this property chooses to treat its guests like garbage. The property is at best at 50% capacity as is most of Tamarindo at this point. So let me share my sad little tale. As a paying guest, I invited some friends who are also staying in Tamarindo over for drinks and lunch at the property. In summary, my guests were rudely treated by the management and the security guards because they were not staying at the property and were aggressively asked to leave. My group would have spent hundreds of dollars on drinks and food over the course of the day, but we were forced to leave the property to spend our money at another resort. When management was confronted, they simply replied, “These are the rules.” I have stayed at luxury properties around the world, and NEVER have I seen or had guests treated in such a horrific manner. I then proceeded to inform the manager that in about two weeks when there is not a single guest or tourist at their property due to the fact that the country is on lockdown from all foreign visitors, they will most sorely regret turning away my group. In addition, my group will spend our money elsewhere throughout the remainder of our holiday, as we refuse to spend any more money than necessary at this sad little property. Finally, I will make it a point to share my experience with all who will listen as to the shabby way in which the Diria treats its guests. I have many friends back in NYC that travel frequently to Costa Rica. I will be sure to let all of them know to avoid this hotel at all costs. YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WARNED!!!!!

    Very Beautiful Hotel With Amazing Beach Front

    We stayed at the Tamarindo Diria from 1/30/20-2/76/20. This hotel was amazing! Very clean and the has an amazing beach front. The only downfall was that the neighboring property had their music playing very loud, very late several nights in a row. I would recommend this hotel but would suggest saying on the other side of the hotel.

    Myself and my husband booked 4 trips with the tour desk at the front of the hotel unfortunately we had to cancel 1 trip as we were both unwell and had to see the doctor who issued us with a certificate to cancel the trip it is now 10 weeks on and we still haven’t had our refund I’ve sent many emails and only had 1 response to say it take as long as it takes ( surely not 10 weeks and counting) the tour desk staff seem happy to take the money for trips but are not helpful when a problem occurs and in particular the young girl is very rude.!!!. I wish we had booked our trips with the guy at the entrance to the beach from the hotel he was much more friendly and had better deals The rest of the staff at the hotel were lovely
