    Secrets Los Cabos: Secrets/AMR resorts is taking their COVID cleaning procedures/precautions seriously and it comes through in their service. Masks are not required of guests, but they are required of employees. EVERYONE employees and guests alike were being considerate of each other, maintaining distance and just in general being aware. The Property: Amazing. Simply. If you are a golfer, it’s even better. They have golf carts you can call to take you around places when you don’t feel like walking. Restaurants are operating on an alternating schedule due to COVID, but not a big deal. There are definitely plenty of food options. 4 bars. Main bar is open until 1 am. 2 additional bars especially for preferred. 1 at the preferred pool that closes at 5 and the other in the preferred lounge that closes at 11. The preferred bars have the top shelf liquor. Check in: when you arrive, it’s to the main check in area. I wasn’t aware Preferred level had a different check in, so they were having people wait for check in, in the main bar. They were walking you to a seat to ensure social distancing and people weren’t crowding around. The bellman caught us before I could be seated and advised I had preferred check in. He grabbed a golf cart and drove me to the preferred lounge where there is a bar, computers, lounge area and check in desks. It’s small and cozy and they did an excellent job of keeping people separate. When it’s your turn, they come and get you, and do the normal hotel check in process. My room wasn’t ready, so I hung out in the lounge and had some welcome drinks and snacks until it was. Room: There really is no bad room on the property. It all depends on what you are looking for. I booked the ocean front, king swim out preferred level and ended up with the best room on the property. #8114 It was centrally located, and there was a little bush that obscured the view from passers by. The other rooms you could look right into from the golf course. 4 oz amenities like lotion/shampoo/body gel. They also added sanitizer to the offering. And all are sealed in plastic to ensure they are sanitized. Same with the remote and iPad for room service. Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. King bed that feels like a cloud. Room service, it’s usually 24 hrs but currently running reduced until 11 pm. Service box that can be used to leave room service, towels etc for contactless deliveries. I used it 99.9% of the time. Mini bar that is stocked with sodas, water, corona, mm’s and snickers. Downside: no hard liquor and you have to go to the bar to get it. Can’t order from room service. Food: I ordered room service 99% of the time. I really wasn’t there for the food experience. I did try the seafood restaurant Oceana and the Grill by the main pool. Food was good. Majority of the food I ordered from room service was good as well. The burger was shockingly decent. Fish tacos and breakfast enchiladas were the stars of the show though. My drink of choice ended up being a strawberry/banana daiquiri.. they were making them RIGHT. Pools: They have 1 large main pool and 1 preferred pool. I went to the preferred pool because there weren’t many people there and the view was SPECTACULAR. The large pool they have music/entertainment and still ensure people are social distancing in the lounge chairs and in the pools. There were a few hiccups on my stay like when I left a tip for the person removing my room service and they took the tip and replaced it with an empty Pringle’s can... on top of the dirty dishes. Or leaving a tip for the housekeeping people and them not giving me a note toilet tissue even though the roll was to the brown meat. Oh, then there was the housekeeper sweeping the balcony above my room and sweeping it into the pool ???????, not into a dustpan. I yelled at her and that never happened again. ?? At check out, I inquired about rebooking multiple rooms and if they offered any discounts for repeat stays and they were unable to help me, told me to go to the website. Most resorts try to sell you on coming back, I thought that was strange. Those things kept me from giving 5 stars. Overall though, I had an AMAZING stay. The property is absolutely beautiful and boasts some of the best Cabo coastline views. I’m definitely planning on coming back.

    We had an amazing time here at the resort. All the staff were more than helpful in any way possible and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Like I said all were excellent but the ones that stick out the most are pablo and benji from the bar, fransisco and maribel from the market restaurant, and ireri from the main lobby. Please dont second guess yourself on any aspect coming to this resort, and all the food is excellent here unlike so many all inclusive resorts. And if you are worried about the resort taking precautions due to Corona virus, they do much more than anywhere in the United states.

    This was a last minute trip made by us during COVID. The resort was so clean and the staff took all the necessary safety precautions. Everyone was so friendly, as usual. Our room was an ocean view which was amazing. I can't say enough about Roberto & Antonio at Portofino and their attention to detail. Chef Daniel created a special meal for us and it was the hi-light of our stay. Caesar always made sure we were taken care of at the preferred pool with towels and shade. The Rendevous bar had the best tending to our bar needs: Moises, Benji & Tomas made the best cocktails. Israel, the Executive Chef had bananas flambe' waiting for us on our last night. These are just a few of the wonderful things we experienced.

    My mom and I had an excellent experience at the Secrets Los Cabos Resort and Spa. The entire staff was kind, patient and helpful with every request and ensured that we felt comfortable. The room was clean and the cleaning staff did an amazing job at keeping things extra clean and sanitary with COVID. There are sanitizing stations throughout the resort. We would like to thank the entertainment staff for keeping things fun, light and completely enjoyable. Yulia, Lucas, Memo and Sexy Charlie out did themselves with activities galore and fun conversations. Salomon and Martin did an exceptional job tending to drinks and food poolside, thank you gentlemen! I would like to give a special thank you and SUPERB job and effort to Nivardo at El Patio Mexican restaurant. He went above and beyond with his customer service skills to ensure that my mom and I had a special (and delicious!) dining experience. We went back two nights in a row and he treated us with a special dessert that was made table side. My mom greatly enjoyed the premium tequila cart as well and ended up getting two bottles to bring back home with us! Wonderful customer service, greatly professional and extremely fun. Thank you for a great experience Secrets staff!

    The Entertainment Staff made my stay at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos very enjoyable. They were attentive and extremely personable. Thank you to Roberto, Memo, Sexy Charlie, David, and Lucas. I appreciate how hard you work and your efforts!
