We spent three nights at CSA and had a great time. We had a Beachfront Suite located on the south end of the property, and the view from our balcony were amazing! The Seven Mile Beach looks just as good in person as it does in pictures, but the only downside to that are the people walking up and down the beach, yelling at everyone trying to get them to buy something from them. I think every single review that you will see on here mentions that, and it is 100% true, but it really didn't detract from m vacation at all. All you have to do is just tell them no thanks, and they'll leave you alone. We didn't have a bad meal at all in our time there, and all of the employees are very nice and make you feel welcome. We did take the included catamaran cruise one night, and it was blast! Make sure that you book that as soon as you check in, as it only runs on certain nights. If you are looking for a resort that is brand new, with all top notch and modern amenities, this is probably not the place for you. But, if you're looking for a well established resort that really gives you a legitimate Jamaican feel, than look no further. The rooms do seem a bit on the basic side, and some of them don't even have tv's (do your research on the room types before booking), but I personally liked that authentic feel of the whole place. If we decide to stay in Negril again, we will certainly choose CSA again.

Hi We were quite disappointed with this holiday Having visited Jamaica 5 times swept away was not the best couples hotel we have stayed at . Having stayed at couples tower isle twice and couples negril On arrival from the airport it took 3 hours to get to the hotel because of traffic 1.30 hr the return journey to depart not so bad First of all I must say my husband and myself never usually pay much attention to negative reviews we like to find out for ourselves as everyone’s different and cater for different needs ,but as from now we will definitely read the negative reviews .We have travelled well to hot countries . I know we would not have paid £5.500 to go to couples swept away having know about certain things NEGS first as they played a big part in this holiday we thought it would be quiet and peaceful it wasn’t at all It was a big birthday for me to celebrate We get up early of a morning no matter what as we are used to doing this back home in the uk it’s normal for us to do this everyday So one of the reasons we went to swept away was the continental breakfast 5.30am so they stated very untrue first 5 mornings we went down for the breakfast VERY LITTLE IF ANYTHING NO BREAD NO BUTTER NO MILK FOR THE COFFEE NO FRIUT NO PASTRIES NO CEREALS NO ORANGE JUICE After 3 mornings of waiting around when you ask for anything nobody takes any notices at all or they say it’s coming in a bit after 20 mins one day waiting for pastries we decided to leave the room . So we went to see the TUI rep who agreed it’s not right and the food and drinks should be available . They offered us an up grade but it wasn’t the room that was ok , very noisy at times through the night traffic etc you could hear that as close to the main road we did get asked by the rep if we wanted to move to couples negril as we loved it and said yes ,we also visited for the day on a few occasions whilst at swept away it’s still the same lovely very clean and great staff very chatty make you very welcome indeed but there was no availability sadly because we would have gone there for the rest of our stay She got on to the management who said the continental breakfast should be available from 5am it picked up a little after 5 days but no earlier then 5.50am if it wasn’t one thing it was another ,but then the staff gave us both the cold shoulder and didn’t speak at all for the rest of the holiday they knew we had complained 14 nights in total how rude , even the rep said they should not do that We are the paying guests maybe because there’s no tipping who knows ?. We did notice when on the odd occasion the food was available the staff or security was eating it the staff want the jobs but not the work as some would be sitting around on there phones these were the older staff not the young one they do there job they have to. When you decide to go for a coffee they decide to change the water or empty it to clean it We smelt on two occasions weed coming through the air con in our room though it states no smoking anywhere in the room or balcony Theres definitely one side of the hotel better than the other and kept much cleaner we noticed this Looking around the grounds Theres not many from the uk mainly the states or Canadians so they told us The sun beds if you want one and in a good spot shade or hut effect shading get up early lots are taken by 6.30am I was told that someone will put the towels out for you and get you the same place everyday this is true we actually did see this and some guests don’t get a look in as the best shaded areas are taken by the same guests everyday of there stay sadly It happens everywhere . Some guested have sunbeds in and out of the sun And a few don’t return when the towels have been out all morning. There’s weed smell all over the beach as you can get as much of this as you wish off the beach guys it’s a bit of a pain really when you don’t smoke there are smoking areas but everyone smokes anywhere on the beach and throw cig ends anywhere too and chewing gum stuck on the tables or under the beds even in the sand I think the hotel could do with updating really it is meant to look old but it’s dark everywhere and dated the lights are not bright in the rooms I don’t believe in animal neglect it’s very sad to see puppies and dogs up and down the beach in 30 degrees of heat dehydrated Also horses This should be looked into I’m sure you will agree The police patrol now and again but not enough We have no probs with the guys trying to make a bit of cash but it’s all the time the security do move them on but one goes another appears Then you got the guys with guitars singing you a song or a few with different instruments with the kids bless them a few dollars here and there doesn’t hurt especially for the kids It’s not a quiet beach one side is much better than the other some of the beach is dirty it isn’t raked well if you walk up and down some of the small hotel beaches are kept better Beaches resort looks lovely very clean tidy and well kept sandals too But you would expect couples to be a well Looked after beach certain areas need a good clean like the sun loungers and cushions the sand needs raking a lit of the loungers are dirty with drink and food spilt on a them. POS the rooms are clean very dark Dark wood furniture but the cleaners do a good job some better then others and clean every day I did email this hotel several times before our arrival to state keep the doors and windows shut when cleaning as I get very bad bites they obviously don’t pass on the information if they even read it as the doors was open when cleaning I did get bitten and had a bit of an allergic reaction I went to the nurse as she is on site she recommended cream and antihistamine tablets from the hotel shop so it was fixed for around $20 US after around 3 days FELT BETTER not sure if bed bugs or mozzies ??? She did say I could see a doc we always have the insurance but the call out is $195 US Make sure you fill in the cards and put them on your door outside for you mini bar somethings you get some you don’t You have a water bottle you have to fill yourself As very little water in the room and no bottles of water available but there is water close by or should be sometimes it’s empty there’s plenty of ice too Food is ok we hardly had an evening meal as we ate in the day and do not eat late at night anyway The best food is at feathers you have to book we got the 1st seating 6.30 pm that’s delicious I must say there’s other booking restaurants but we didn’t go The normal breakfast is 7.30 am you get omelettes etc they are nice Theres a smoothie bar and wellness area over the road that’s quiet we sat there a few afternoons. Well worth it There’s lots of cats and some kittens but they are looked after well and fed by the hotel they don’t bother you at all The jerk chicken bar is open from 11am that’s ok not much choice and make sure you get your order right as there’s always something missing It’s only chicken fries onion rings or burger Overall I would rate this hotel 3* and the holiday is what you make it yourself only it certainly isn’t worth the thousand you have to pay to come here we would not return to this couples Hotel lots of people complaining we spoke to a few in the lobby also people who have been coming for yrs Making other holiday plans now saying it’s changed or gone down hill some still return year after year Do read the negs if you plan on booking this hotel it’s not always what you think it’s going to be ??????

CSA is a great destination for couples, located on the exquisite 7 mile beach there are lots to see and do or just do a lot of relaxing! The sand there is amazing, so soft and there is an ocean swimming area that goes out at least 100 feet and is not over 5ft deep and a crystal clear 86 degrees. We spent so much time there or in one of the multiple pools on site. The resort staff is the best, so friendly and helpful and the spa was a must! Was not very impressed with the food, reggae beach night with traditional Jamaican dishes was the best. Loved the "Cat Cafe's " and enjoyed seeing so many friendly and well taken care of fur babies that visited us. Would go back again to Jamaica for the lovely people and beaches but would most likely explore and try a new resort.

My wife and I traveled here with 3 other couples for a week. This was our fourth trip to couples swept away. While some may say the rooms are not that great and the food is ok, the reality is you come here and pay for for the beach, view, and ocean. Overall, the other aspects that keep us coming back are the resort is for couples only (no singles) and no kids. We do not have a problem with families with kids, but for our vacation to Jamaica that is our choice. To that point, what you will mostly find here is couples ranging from mid-30's and up. You really don't get many of the younger crowd and in reality many of them would probably be disappointed with the resort as there is very little night-life on the resort and most couples are in their room by 10:00 in the evening. I will walk through various aspects of our trip to provide additional details and include some related pictures. First off, this is Jamaica, which means it is a very laid back environment and I would recommend you put down your electronics, relax, enjoy who you are here with, and embrace the culture. Most people arrive on the airport shuttle which takes about 90 minutes to get to the resort. Once there, you will realize quickly that the relaxed, slow paced atmosphere begins with check-in. Expect at least 15 minutes, maybe up to 30 depending on how many people arrive with you, before you will be taken to your room. There is not an option to make anyone hurry through this process. Enjoy the cool towel and champagne and go with the flow. The rooms are nice and have plenty of space, but are not high end resort nice. The best part of your room will be the balcony or terrace where my wife and I spend much of our time when we are in our room. The verandah suites all have televisions, but we have yet to turn one on. It's all part of our disconnecting from everything. The pools are nice, but again nothing special and during this last trip we never used the pools. There are two on the resort, one at each end and the one at the south end is part of the swim-up bar. This pool also closes at 7:00 pm. Regarding food, there are different options, but again, this is not high end chef fancy, but more down to earth casual fare. Feathers is considered the nicer restaurant at the resort and this, along with the Thai restaurant, Lemongrass, only serve dinner and require more dressed up attire, along with reservations. We have eaten at both and prefer neither of these. They are billed as higher end restaurants, but we have found the service is slow, the food quality is just ok and the service is very slow. Patois Patio is our favorite restaurant for a relaxing meal serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Palms is the buffet and for those who think a buffet somehow gives them more options and they can get more, then i guess that is for them, but for me I find buffets to be just an east way for a resort to feed lots of people. We rarely eat at the buffet, just our personal choice. Sea Grapes is right on the beach and serves more healthy food, including fruit smoothies, fish tacos, etc. Our favorite snack there is the sweet potato chips. The other food option is the grill, which, during the day, serves burgers and hot dogs (which are not very good) as well as jerk chicken, which is exceptional. In the evening, the grill becomes Scotch Bonnet, service more typical Jamaican foods buffet style. The beach and water are really hard to describe to truly explain just how amazing they are. The water is typically very calm, always warm and amazing. The beach is raked each morning by the staff and there is plenty of room to grab a lounge chair and relax, either in the sun or under one of the many palm trees. Additionally, the staff working the beach are awesome. They come by frequently to take your drink orders and bring them right to your lounge chair. The spa is exceptional. It is across the street from the resort and is part of a larger fitness center, with a lap pool, tennis courts, etc. I would highly recommend trying out some of the options at the spa, definitely worth it. The resort offers several excursions included in your visit. I would recommend the catamaran sunset cruise as well as the snorkeling. I would not recommend the glass bottom boat as you really can't see very well based on how the boat is configured. There are tons of other activities throughout the day and evening to participate in and I would recommend reviewing these in advance so you can have an idea of things you might want to try. They are not always offered every day so if you don't do a little planning you may miss out on something you might really enjoy. Overall, this is an excellent place to unwind, relax and just enjoy the world around you.
