    Typical Disney Experience

As with most of the outlying Disney properties, this is just average. It is clean and well maintained. Visited for business and had catered food for breakfast and lunch. The catered food is just okay. I saw what they were charging and it seemed outrageous. But hey, it's Disney. The mouse doesn't just eat cheese. It eats cash too. Oh and don't forget to stop by the liquor store to pickup supplies. Unless you like paying $8 for a domestic beer and over $10 for well liquor. Walls are pretty thin. We could hear a conversation in the next room pretty easily.

    No Nap Springs

This is now the second property at Walt Disney World that won’t allow guests to nap. The sign on the door doesn’t mean walk in while I’m sleeping to see if I need towels. It also doesn’t mean you should call our room to see if out of toilet paper. Coronado Springs has failed us, there is no privacy and no napping here! Save money and stay at a value resort.

    Lacks Disney Customer Service

The front desk staffer who checked us in was half asleep and couldn't get away from us fast enough. She seemed annoyed when we asked questions inquiring about our room and other things that are pertinent when checking in. Our room was on the 4th floor of Casita 2. Surprise to us -- you can't actually access the 4th floor from Building 2! after wandering around for nearly 30 minutes, we finally found access to the 4th floor. Would have been nice for the front desk to inform us this upon check in. We had an issue not receiving our housekeeping giftcard for declining housekeeping. After talking to 4 different front desk people, I called the Disney line and they finally got ahold of the manager at Coranado. The front desk people were completely useless. Food in the Mercado is terrible. Only thing they have going for them is location is close to 3 parks.

    Decent resort to stay

I went here on Business trip. The place is in good condition, very clean and has some amenities to offer. I stayed in one of the bungalow close to the lake. I did have some issues when I arrived since walk from reception took 10 minutes to the room. Resort is good for people who like nature since the area and lake are such nice (it is excellent for taking morning run or evening walk). What I did not find that good is that place looks old (not rooms but amenities). That is only complaint that I had.

    Gran Destino Tower Christmas Review

Went to Orlando Florida to see the Liberty Flames play in its first bowl game ever, the Cure Bowl. Wife had the Disney Polynesian Resort in shopping cart when I asked her to look at Gran Destino Tower before making purchase. I have wanted to stay at this resort since it opened a year ago. Our first Disney vacation as a family in 2015 was to Coronado Springs for Spring Break. Reluctantly, she gave in to staying at Gran Destino Tower for 5 nights. This saved us almost 250 a night making the switch from Polynesian. Beautiful Resort, the Tower is not a Mickey Resort so to speak; but it was stunning. We had a horrible flight from Lynchburg VA to Charlotte NC; we sat on runway for 45 minutes, had a teething baby lose its mind for 35 minutes of flight, and had to run across Charlotte to make next flight, all on an empty stomach. So as we walked into Resort, we saw the dreaded line for checking in; it seems that the Resort computers were down; we were thinking maybe this was going to be a horrible vacation. 45 minutes later; my wife was walking with supervisor and talking about Club Level. One thing I can say for Disney, their staff listens. Disney was going to make sure we had a magical stay! They offered us an upgrade to Club Level for a small upcharge(So Worth It) and upgrade King Room to Junior Suite for free. Club Level serves Breakfast until 1100 am, we got to eat for the first time that day. The views of Hollywood Studios are amazing for fireworks nightly was a pleasant surprise. The staff at Club Level we amazing, we talked with a new person everyday about Disney, life, and anything else that came to mind. I have to give a shout out to Maria and Susan, I am sorry that I don't remember all the others. The room was; sorry to keep using the same word, Amazing. It had a bath and a half, king bed, living room with I think a 70" Smart TV, and a shower to die for. The only knock on the room was the bed, a little too hard for my liking. we ate at the Resort twice, very nice quick serve, the desert were great and always fresh. I did not get to use the Fitness Center, but I heard that it was very nice. The Christmas decorations were more Modern; but complemented the Resort. Also the elevators were state of art, just pushed floor number, a letter telling what elevator to use, and away you went! We don't use Disney transportation; wife gets car sick; we always Uber to Resort closest to Park and walk, Monorail, and we tried Skyliner once. We toured some the Resorts for Christmas decorations and the Ginger Bread statues; Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Yacht, and Boardwalk to name a view. We had an early dinner at our Favorite restaurant, Epcot’s Le Cellier Steakhouse; love their pretzel bread and Ribeye! I can’t think of one bad thing to say about our stay at the Gran Destino Tower; the only thing that comes to mind is the distance to a pool maybe. That might discourage a family from staying at the Tower. Yes we would stay here again, even though wife is pressuring me to try the Riviera Resort next. Thanks for talking time and reading my review.
