This was our first time staying at Boulder Ridge 1bd. My husband my Daughter and I came out to meet up with my Sister from Georgia. We're ex cast members from the Disneyland Hotel. So we know our way around DVC. This is a gem of a resort. We overlooked the pool and Geyser Point. We couldn't get enough of Geyser point and that Buffalo burger, both pools are awesome and I loved that Geyser pool had cabanas that were first come first serve. The spa was spacious. We're not park people since we've worked for Disney. But we went on a bike ride to Fort Wilderness and that was the highlight of our trip. We can't wait to come back. Staff are very friendly and we had a wonderful time.

    Must Stay When Visiting Disneyworld

5 of us (2 grandparents, a toddler, mom, and dad) stayed in a 2-bedroom villa for 5 days in late September. We secured our room through David's DVC rental--people who don't own into Disney Vacation Club can "borrow" points from owners to stay in a studio, one- or two-bedroom villa. Because of this, we paid 50% less than we would have paid if we tried to book this room through Disney's website, so, this was a great deal! The villas have full kitchens, which saved us a ton of money. We ended up buying groceries from Instacart (which Disney makes super easy to do) and ate breakfast and lunch in our room. The Boulder Ridge Villas is part of the Wilderness Lodge, which is a beautiful resort. We stayed in the Copper Creek villas before and love both of these equally, even though the Boulder Ridge rooms are older and not as contemporary. The Boulder Ridge Villas feels like a separate resort--it has its own building with a beautiful and tranquil lobby--the aesthetic is that of old west railroads and the rooms feel rustic and cozy. Aside from being its own separate building, it definitely feels very much a part of the rest of the Wilderness Lodge and takes advantage of the resort's great food options, wonderful staff, amazing pools, and boat access to the Magic Kingdom and Campgrounds. Because the Boulder Ridge villas are older, the rooms were huge. the 2-bedroom villas were well equipped for 5 people, and all of our stuff (including a stroller). It was nice to see that Disney updated the rooms and included the laminate flooring (in place of carpet) that has become a staple in newer resorts and renovations--I really appreciated that with having a little one.

2bdrm 2 bath "deluxe" DVC villa, tho there is NO fine dining restaurant as at other deluxe Disney resorts. Kitchen has basic supplies tho two upper cabinets over counter/bar are nearly impossible to reach. Sink has two faucets (hot/cold) with no spray so have to use extra water to keep free of debris. Stove top not properly cleaned or maintained. Looks like cleaned with general all purpose type cleaner rather than glass top cleaner. 2nd bath/shower with toilet way too small, should have taken at least another 1 1/2 feet from sink area. Every time the toilet flushes you know micro spray is hitting every towel. Beds lumpy and feels like some sort of plastic mattress cover. Urine smell overwhelming and obvious. Even # villas on smoker area and road side so noisy while buses running (about 6am to midnight) and deliveries being made. We requested (several times before arrival) odd # due to severe asthma but were given an even # room for our week long stay. We arrived at 6pm (check in 4:30p) and were told they could not hold a even # room for us away from smokers, they could move us on the 5th day of our 7day stay. Construction while we were there from 6:30a to 7:30p so additional noise. We turned heat/cool air unit "off" tho fan continued to blow 24/7. You have NO control of the temperature of your room and/or circulating air. Woke up coughing/wheezing at 6a one morning to cigarette smoke coming in through vent. Someone in another room must have lit up and uncontrolled circulating air entered our villa. We ordered in room dining 1st night and waited 3 hours. We were initially told 1 hour, we called and were told another 15 min. over and over again. We finally cancelled and the cold meal showed up within 5 minutes. We love Wilderness Lodge but will never stay at Boulder Ridge again.

    But for toilets, pretty nice

We stayed in a 2 bedroom 2 bath DVC room. The rooms were large, beds comfy. Kitchen had what we needed. Baths were large (though vanities were pretty cheap), grounds woodsy. I especially liked the DVC pool and fitness center (which is in the DVC building, so you don’t have to go out in the elements). Boat is convenient to the Magic Kingdom. Restaurant was very good, and all cast members excellent. So what’s the problem? Somewhat delicate, and an experience unique to these rooms. Either the toilet seat is wrong, or the toilet is wrong, or the water level is wrong. For a guy to sit down your intimate bits go for a swim in the toilet water. And yes, I tried both toilets. Finally had to prop up the seat with hand towels. Public restrooms didn’t have this problem. The 4 other DVC hotels this trip (Saratoga Springs, Grand Floridian, Animal Kingdom, and Boardwalk), didn’t have this problem. But for this, I would give 4 stars. But for the pluses above, I’d rate it 1 star for this problem. Maybe, given the intimate nature of the problem, no one complains. Maybe cast members never use the toilets. And, frankly, I didn’t call the front desk about it, I just improvised with towels. But, I will never stay there again. Guys, be forewarned.

    Wonderful hotel at Christmastime!

Such a classic festive feel to this hotel at Christmastime! Definitely recommend staying here over the holidays. It has that Christmas feel all over it. We did not love the general feel of the room, because it was a little old feeling. However, Disney rooms are always clean and well kept, let alone we rarely spend time in our room. We love roaming around the hotel grounds and if you feel the same way then you will love this resort. It was beautiful, and had great food options! Every restaurant in this hotel is a hit in our opinion. From quick serve to sit-down! Would just recommend a few healthier options on the Roaring Fork menu, otherwise it was wonderful! We did feel that the bus service was a little on the slow side, and would not love being stuck taking the bus everywhere (with exception of Magic Kingdom, taking the boat) but there are several locations you can visit easily from here which make it a good location anyways. Make sure you enquire about transportation options to get a good feel of the resort.
