so i was happy to return to Arizona after 5 plus years the first thing i said were staying at the grand resort because i stayed there before and had a wonderful stay, well i was wrong well kinda our check in was good she explained everything and told us where our room was. we stayed in a villa suite. for what we paid should nothing be wrong with the room. but it was i called down and told them the ice machine in the refrigerator does not work nothing was done , i asked for a quiet room , that didnt happen and to top it off we was getting harassed by TRUMP SUPPORTERS because we are african american the people down stairs from us was yelling you suck if you dont support trump i called pool, security nothing was done ,sockets coming out the wall in the bathroom , not to mention the people down or above me was smoking on there patio which cause my room to smell. i mentioned all this upon check out and all the girl said was im sorry that this happend other than that they keep the grounds looking nice the property is very clean and big like i remember i dont know if i would stay again im still thinking on it .

Absolutely recommend the Arizona grand. We felt safe and comfortable. The waterpark was just the break we needed from all the chaos. The front desk staff was beyond wonderful when we had a personal situation occurred. We truly felt special. We are hoping to make this an annual event it was so good.

What a rip off! $369 a night for a suite that was rundown, dirty, and outdated. Nothing about the experience was good, furniture was very uncomfortable and should have been replaced 5 years ago. Don't waste your money.

If you are concerned about COVID, don’t plan on going to the water park.

We came for an Irish Dance Competition. We haven’t been to one since February and my daughter was so excited. The school hosting the feis did an amazing job planning an incredibly safe competition. We were so impressed. The water park was a completely different scene. We went down on Saturday afternoon and it was so packed we had to leave. No one wearing masks. Even though there were signs at the bar that you need to wear them, no one was and no one was asked to put them on. The lazy river was PACKED. The line was long to get in and despite stickers on the ground stating where 6ft was, NO ONE was adhering to those nor were they being asked to by staff. We came back later that night hoping for fewer ppl and trash was EVERYWHERE. It was disgusting. They also had a taco stand in the middle of the park and the ppl in the stand preparing food were not wearing masks. One of the lady’s preparing food and taking orders had a towel around her neck that she was using to constantly wipe sweat, yet she would then turn around and make a meal. There was no regulation of how many people were allowed in and no adherence to any semblance of public health guidelines.

We had a wonderful time on our staycation for Labor Day weekend. It was a bit crowded which is to be expected for a holiday weekend, however the pool area was a great escape from the summer heat. The hotel is an all suite resort so the rooms are oversized and perfect for families. Our daughter loved having her own space in the living area on a sofa sleeper while we enjoyed the room to ourselves. The rooms we stayed in weren’t upgraded like the other options, so we would like to try the upgraded ones next time we stay, but they were clean and had a very comfortable bed. There were limited dining options due to COVID so we had dinner delivered, but lunch at the oasis grill by the water park area was surprisingly affordable and had great portions. We split a chicken strips plate between 3 people and it was perfect! Overall it is a great family vacation destination. I wouldn’t suggest for a romantic getaway, but if you have kiddos it’s a perfect spot!
