During a recent stay on a business trip my wife and I had an excellent experience with Anthony Nop at the valet stand. When a scheduled ride to the airport did not show up at 5:30 am, Anthony stepped in and took over the situation, “Don’t worry I will get someone for you right away.” He was immediately on the phone. When he hung up he said “A ride for you will be here in 7 minutes, he will assure you do not miss your flight.” We are very thankful for his quick thinking and making sure our experience was a excellent one! Thanks Anthony.

    Sad Captive Tortoise

Our stay was very good. We enjoyed our time at the hotel. However, it was very upsetting to see Cecil the Tortoise in a small enclosure with no stimulation. Having seen many rescued and wild tortoises, this tortoise is stationary and appears to lack energy. Since it seems from reviews he has been there for years, it might be that he has not had interaction with another tortoise in years and is not thriving in captivity. While in Arizona, we visited the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center, who have rescued captive tortoises before. Perhaps the hotel can consult with them on making Cecil's life better.

My wife and I were in town to look at properties. We booked a corner suite for over $800 per night, 3 nights. We ended up calling the room “the dungeon”. It was at the end of a hall on the ground floor overlooking a parking lot. Very little natural light. What a joke. We would never stay there again. Service throughout the resort was sub-par. We are frequent visitors to Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons. The Fairmont was not even close to what we experience at those properties.

We were looking forward to a 3 night stay in a Gold suite. Prior to arriving, we had poor communication with the Gold desk. The first email I sent to them took several days to get a response. I never received a response to my second email. At check in, we received a warm welcome, but no recognition for our Accor status. The Gold breakfast and afternoon hors d'oeuvres were OK but quality was less than expected for the price of our room. Our room was quiet, spacious and clean. Great bed. There were no slippers in our room. When I first called about the issue, i was told the hotel was out of slippers. Second call resulted in slippers later that day. The The grounds were beautiful and the pool experience very nice. Great location close to wonderful restaurants, golf and hiking.

This is a beautiful property with excellent service provided by everyone you encounter. We stayed in the Gold area of the hotel and it was definitely worth it, the staff/concierge there are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We especially loved seeing Jessica each morning of our stay. They have a hearty upscale breakfast and hors d’oeuvres and dessert that were very convenient. We had our one year old with us and the pool we liked best was Sunset Beach, it has a sand “beach” area and zero entry, splash pad and best of all the water is heated to 85 degrees so you can swim when it’s mid 70s and be perfectly comfortable. Only negative is it’s far from the gold level rooms. We often took golf carts but mid day it was 15 minutes plus to get one. The walk isn’t bad for adults, small children it gets long. Great stay and would recommend to our friends/family.
