First time in to puerto Vallarta, but second time with the Hyatt Ziva brand. The place was not as big as I thought, but it was big enough with 3 sizable pools and a beach. The food was incredible and the staff was amazing and friendly. I went kayaking for the first time (and it’s included as well). Make sure to reach out to Okimy and he will show you the best that the hotel can offer. Would recommend to everyone that wants to visit Puerto Vallarta!

My friends and I booked 3 rooms for our vacation. Front desk Diana had an upgraded room for me because the stay was during my birthday. There were a piece of cake arranged in the room when I walked in, very thoughtful. Staffs are very polite and accommodating. We enjoyed the activities arrange by hotel's entertainment team. Okimy invited us to play volleyball, aqua aerobic, kayak and what not. He is super friendly, remember us by our names, greeted us every time he see us. Excellent hospitality. Jetski and banana boat on the beach. Ask the hotel staff the price range so you can bargain for good price. Great restaurant options, I personally like the buffet breakfast and lunch, as covid strike, we had to walk up and sometimes line up to wait for server to hand us the food. the idea is still there, just safety come first. Blaze have different theme for dinner, since the other restaurants is temp close. We went for Octopus from Italian restaurant literally everyday during our stay. We celebrate my birthday in there. It was fun and surprised. Overall, it was great experience. We didn't even have mask on most of the time because of the nature of the activities, either eating, drinking, bathing, swimming... As long as you keep your personal hygiene and sanitize regularly, I say why not enjoy while we can.

The location and service were very good. The food as described by many others on this site was....Hit or miss. The Italian we thought was very good. The Blaze restaurant that had rotating theme nights was not so good. The steak night was good however. If you're a foodie you will be disappointed. The booze was nice although Pacifico beer was considered as an extra charge. This beer is about as common as it gets in Mexico or the US. Not sure why there would be an extra charge for that. They had some other high end liquors but many of those were at an "Extra Cost"? e.g. Don Julio etc.

Our trip to Hyatt Ziva was absolutely incredible! We visited for a week over Thanksgiving and the resort didn’t have a ton of visitors. We felt like we had private beaches and pools to ourself. The staff was so accommodating and the food/drinks were quite tasty. My husband and I booked a romantic getaway and loved our swim-up king suite (no kids allowed in these rooms). The resort does a great job of accommodating both families and couples that are kid-free, as they have adult only pools and hot tubs. As for fitness and wellness, they have a wonderful indoor gym (you must make an appointment in advance, as they are limiting occupancy). Also, the private resort beach is ~.25 miles and a great place to jog during low tide! The spa is awesome and they were running very good massage specials while we were visiting - we went more than once. If you ask in advance, you can take advantage of the spa amenities that include dry sauna, steam room, hot tub, pool, and rocks that you walk on in the water (see pictures). It was worth every penny. :) A taxi/Uber to the Zona Romantica is ~$3 - $5 USD and nice to visit. We will definitely be back. ?? Note: The resort has many precautions in place to keep everyone healthy (eg, mask requirements inside, hand sanitizer, servers filling you plates at buffet from behind glass, etc.) and we felt totally safe. Actually, much more safe than most accommodations in the United States!
