Wonderful staff, disappointing facilities, management and appointments

Micheala Miriam Jose at the restaurant breakfast buffet were amazing they made us feel welcome and comfortable. They were always smiling and warm. Miriam made me some spicy sauce that was amazing! Fide and Jesus looked after us at the dinner buffet and were always happy and welcoming We love the staff!! Broken treadmill uneven torn belts no incline. Almost all of the treadmills are broken in some fashion Garbage wifi, free but no connection No hot water most of the week despite a daily phone call Large group Spanish kids yelling and screaming in the wee hours 0400, pushing and shoving through the buffet lines. Don’t go at 0700 because they are jamming the lines and smoking in the entrance Lack of deck chairs, groups moving in and pushing others out. There are not enough chairs for a thousand rooms. Security picks up towels placed early with no occupants and then it’s first come first served around 0700 Had to ask to get 2 towels

**Disappointing Experience at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda** Our recent stay at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda was nothing short of a disappointment. From the moment we arrived, it was evident that the resort was in dire need of renovation. The sight of buildings covered with blue tarps was not exactly welcoming. The state of the facilities further exacerbated our disappointment. The gym equipment was not only outdated but also mostly broken and rusted, rendering it unusable. While the buffets offered a decent variety, the à-la-carte restaurants left much to be desired, lacking both quality and options. As for the evening entertainment, it was akin to watching a performance put on by elementary school children. The choreographies felt outdated and uninspired, failing to captivate the audience. One of the most frustrating aspects of our stay was the incessant pressure from staff to attend a 90-minute timeshare meeting. Despite repeatedly declining, we were continuously harassed, which detracted from our overall experience. Furthermore, staff exhibited intrusive behavior, entering rooms after only knocking once, and the fact that the representative for the timeshare could call the room and the phone automatically answers raises serious privacy concerns. Moreover, the promise of a free shuttle to downtown 5th avenue turned out to be misleading, as guests were charged $14 per person. Once there, we were bombarded by employees from the resort urging us to visit their family-owned shops. Refusal resulted in persistent reminders that they would remember us back at the resort. To add insult to injury, the first thing the staff told us upon arrival was that the beach was not nice and that we would need to walk 10 minutes left or right to find a lagoon or a nicer beach. The disorganization extended to the pools, where guests would reserve chairs with towels for days on end, with no intervention from the indifferent staff. Even worse, staff walked around with their walkie-talkies at full volume, disturbing any semblance of peace, even late at night around the bedrooms or early in the morning. Additionally, the rooms were far from being soundproof, further disrupting our attempts at relaxation. While the rooms were passable, they were undeniably outdated. The water pressure in the sink was so high that it splashed water outside, while the shower pressure was barely sufficient and emitted an unpleasant odor. Overall, our experience at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda was far from satisfactory. We would not recommend this resort to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable vacation experience.

Fantastic service

The experience was fantastic and Adriane was top notch in making guests experience maximum comfort. The food was alright and what it lacked in taste Adrian made up for in hospitality. It was warm and I loved the ambiance . Our service was excellent and we wanted for nothing!

Another Wonderful Vacation

This was our second family vacation at Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda and once again we had a wonderful time. The staff welcomed us as we arrived and were extremely accommodating. Everyone from the the front desk, concierge, waiters, bartenders and housekeepers went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. The bartenders remembered our names and what each of us drank. The food at every restaurant was delicious and the service impeccable. Our room was always cleaned to perfection each day. The property is impeccably maintained. We truly like the spacious manner in which the buildings are arranged with beautiful natural vegetation separating them. The paths are paved throughout and perfectly lighted at night. Looking out from our deck and seeing deer, iguanas, colorful birds and coatis added to our experience. We are looking forward to returning in 2025 to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family.

Loud thumping “ music “ all night

Wish I had never taken membership. Paid extra for sea view in building 5 then 400 or more teenagers turn up and take over. Can’t sleep so loud right in front of building. We have had some great times here but if this is turning into an 18-30s destination I’m out
