We spend 2 weeks with 2 kids. Food - Just stick to the Buffet :D check out each restaurant for sure, as Japanese has great entertainment, Los Lirios - view, but food everywhere is very mediocre and service is not for 5* hotel Lots of mosquitos - bring bug spray WITH YOU. it cost $15USD for a small OFF! The resort has advertised "Bug repellent throuought the resort", which they have, but they either empty or broken. For two weeks we were there they were NEVER refilled. we spent $100 just for the repellent, which you have to apply all day long. Great Kids Club. Our kids would ask us to go back every day :) Lots to do for all ages: zoo keeping, eco-tours, SPA, tree planting ? Coatis are everywhere! you can also spot monkeys, birds, peacocks and others. We enjoyed our

Our family of four had a fantastic vacation. Despite daily rain, our family was able to find all sorts of activities throughout the hotel. Our kiddos(4 and 6) loved going to the kids club- and the staff made us feel confident that they would be well cared for while we had some parent time. As a matter of fact, our youngest wanted to got there every day and was upset when we planned a day long excursion preventing her from going! Prior to our vacation, Esteban communicated with our travel agent and was wonderful in having us as informed as possible about everything at the resort! He really went the extra mile to make us feel prepared and welcome for our arrival:)! Our concierge Alberto was absolutely phenomenal!! We felt like we hit the lottery by getting to work with him. From the get go, he helped us with restaurant reservations, a room upgrade, and suggestions on how to make the most of our stay. He even arranged a dinner literally on the beach for our last night at the resort (we asked for a table with a view if possible!!). I really cannot say enough great things about him!! Our housekeepers did a great job tidying our room- and left cute towel animals that delighted our girls every day! The restaurant staff was really attentive and obviously worked very hard-- we made sure to leave some extra tip money on the table- as they definitely deserved it! The nightly shows were very entertaining, all the animals were fun to see, the pools and activities were plentiful, and the beach was nice and clean. All in all , a wonderful vacation-- we hope to come back very soon!

We absolutely loved this resort. There are so many activities to do with the family. Everyday we tried something new which made the entire vacation unique and exciting. I highly recommend the Rio Jade river swim/snorkle, the cenote snorkle, the eco tour, water park and main pool. The main pool always has games for both kids and adults, plus a swim up bar;) The ala carte restaurants are AMAZING....no reservations needed. Los Lirios was our favourite. Helpful hint: some nights are adults only at the ala cartes so snap a pic of the chart to reference later.....also after 7pm there may be a 20 min line up....6 pm seemed to be the best time to go. The beach is beautiful......amazing breeze and soft sand. You will not ve disappointed!

The hotel is average on some things and great at others.

First, I will write by saying the names of individuals that made our stay wonderful and did their best to offer us excellent customer service. Hipolito from Templo restaurant Irene from Iguana restaurant Isabel from guest service Those are just a few that I remember, will have to update the review with what my wife and kid remember. The hotel is pretty good, but food could be 10 times better if they had better cooks. I was hoping to taste real dishes from from the peninsula and surroundings states. After eating at 2 restaurants for breakfast that offer the same food everyday, it gets old for me. The tours they give you are also pretty good, with the exception that the hotel needs to give some customer service lessons to some. At least let you know times to be there, they just write your name down and forget to mention to be there 15 minutes early. The beach is rocky and dirty looking. It was still wonderful tho. There is also no AC on the restaurants. The templo restaurant is really hot during dinner. The room also does not cool off, maybe only to 75F. We are accustomed to 69F back on the states. Makes it hard to get a good night sleep. The nature here is wonderful, we got a taste of everything the resort has to offer. The free massage we got after hearing sales pitches for 3 hours was worth it for us. (careful there) I will update it with some pictures later.
